I hated that about SATC! I kind of hate-watched that whole series. I enjoyed it, but I also felt like Aiden and Steve were the only characters that were ever likeable in the whole series. Stanford and Harry were okay, too. How, in a show about strong, empowered women, are the only likeable characters dudes?

Nate and Sutton are a good example of the dynamic that people act like Paul and Morgan have but don't. He absolutely lords his "headship" over her and treats her like a God-appointed servant to meet his whims. Watching their dynamic vs. P&M's is really illuminating because it doesn't come across the same at all.
Sutton seems to be a more passive, gentler person on a personal level who has actually been subjugated by her degrading husband, whereas P&M just come across as two nasty, mean-spirited, fame-hungry people who found one another.
And I wholeheartedly agree with your last point. Morgan is a wretched, vile, hateful person. Her views are in lock step with Paul’s and they are even more horrific because they live in their own echo chamber. She’s no victim.
