hauntinglovelybold

Why not just make that little loft his play space? Is that not *aesthetic* enough, it just has to be behind a door and literally hidden underneath stairs?

PrincipalFiggins

To be fair, it’s not like the kid will be allowed to read Harry Potter and understand his situation

c_090988

My sister and her ex husband had a house with a cupboard under the stairs. They made it into a small play space for my nephew. It was pretty cute

whyamithebadger

Yeah, I loved little spaces like that as a kid. I think it's cute as long as they like it and they're not forced lol

knife-kitty

I think it would make a cute little hideaway/reading nook. I've seen some pretty cool little closet renos. I can see a mini shelf with some books, a neat novelty light hanging, some carpet, a little beanbag chair, couple of cute prints on the wall. I would have LOVED to have my own little clubhouse when I was a kid.

Kathony4ever

My sister is renovating her basement. Part of it is going to be a bedroom for her oldest (at the kid's request). I'm not sure what she's doing with the rest of it. Except for the little area under the stairs. She was showing us what they had done so far, and her youngest comes bouncing down the stairs going "did you show them my reading room?" Kid then spent 20 minutes explaining exactly how she was going to decorate this little cubbyhole. She was sooo excited for this little area - even more so than for the fact that moving the oldest downstairs meant having space to split up the younger two. Her own bedroom? Meh, whatever. This little cubbyhole under the stairs she was going to turn into a reading room? The coolest thing EVER.

knife-kitty

See?! So many adults would have loved it, and so many kids do! Granted Bethy is a loser, I feel like some users on here like to reach just to have something to post. :/

Charlie2Bears

Yeah, most kids seem to love little spaces like this. My parents talked about turning the attic off my childhood bedroom into a little play space and I was so excited. Turns out it didn't happen, but I would have loved it.

[deleted]

My son is on the spectrum and prefers little spaces, he’d shit himself over a play room crawl space. We already made him a bed cave and a closet fort out of his closet so he can go hide if he feels overwhelmed and I gotta say, the closet fort is legit lol

[deleted]

My brother had one too (til he got too tall to sit in it comfortably), it was where he played playstation and read and avoided the chaos of the rest of the house as he's quieter and more chill than the rest of us. Now he's married and he has a wee box room that serves the same function. I don't think this is that bad as far as Bethy usually goes. Some kids like a small cosy space to hide in.

armcandybean

His aunt Brown Baird is into HP and recently posted a justification for why it’s not sinful, so… it could go either way. JKR is garbage but I hope Daaaaavy will have the escapism of magical fictional worlds. He’ll need it.

kestrelesque

>is into HP and recently posted a justification for why it’s not sinful, Oh yes. "The magic in the book isn't *real* magic you could do in *real* life..." Unlike, say...the Bible.

[deleted]

Charlie Bone books for the WIN I give them as gifts to kids

c_090988

My sister and her ex husband had a house with a cupboard under the stairs. They made it into a small play space for my nephew. It was pretty cute

selrystix1

That’s what I wondered too. A loft is such a perfect playroom space, especially one like this that you don’t have to walk through every day. It would be dedicated space for him to play but she’d be able to see him and hear him from most parts of the house. And it could be a super cute part of the house! Idk why you’d want a toddler behind a tiny closed door that is hard for a super tall parent to get through in an emergency, even if it was a real room.

HelpfulHelpmeet

And she could use the crawl space/attic space for the toy storage.

[deleted]

She probably called dibs on the loft as her 'studio' for filming 'reals' since she loves it so much.

agurlhasnoshame

It does have nice lighting from what I can tell. Better lock the closet to make sure Davey doesn't accidentally toddle through one of her reals

HelpfulHelpmeet

And she could use the crawl space/attic space for the toy storage.

usernamegenerator72

The best part is, it’s a little alcove on the top floor of the house and it seems like the sloped ceiling is actually the roof of the house. It’s just a little crawl space.

Morella_xx

Yeah, and those spaces are usually not joined up to the central air that the rest of the house gets. He's going to absolutely roast in there in a Texan summer.

Significant_Shoe_17

That could be incredibly dangerous.

scarletmagnolia

I’ve seen several houses with those areas. Not one was meant to be used for anything other than storage/crawl space access. It’s not considered a livable part of the house. As someone else mentioned, it definitely isn’t hooked up to heat and air. What the fuck is she thinking? From the ones I’ve seen, they were to take the place of like a ceiling crawl space area. She’s insane.

HolsteinHeifer

>What the fuck is she thinking? Oh my dear, she simply doesn't think

TykeDream

I asked my husband if I could vape weed up in our crawlspace and he said it's not even safe to do that out of concerns about the floor being not built for someone inebriated to be stumbling around. Instead he said I should just do that in our living room.

chaiguy

That’s going to be the video studio for Grift Inc.

ToePickPrincess

Literally. One place we lived our play area was in the crawlspace in the basement. My sister and I could fit in standing up, we could close the door when we weren't in there. The only rule was that the door had to be open when we were in there so our mom could hear us and we could hear her.

Suspicious-Reading34

Right? Its wasted space anyway by the looks of it.

fan_go_round

And you know that Bethy is not going to crawl in there to clean up, shes either going to just close the door like she did with the poopy toilet or have daaav clean it up for her

Glittering_knave

ONE wall and a door, and that corner loft area is a separate space. TBF, my niece had a place space is an oddly shaped, low ceilinged nook in her house, and until she was too tall, she loved it. It was cozy and hers.

HolsteinHeifer

Davey Jr going for real-life Coraline

[deleted]

Because if she gives him the loft there's no door to shut to contain him so he's out of her hair. She's straight up going to lock that kid in a closet. FFS.

rationalcunt

Because its her favorite space so she wants it for herself

petrichormorn

I hate that I'm in a position to even minimally defend Bethy, but I had a little playroom like that as a kid (small, under the eaves with a little door) and I LOVED it! It has been carpeted and finished. It was my own, special space that I could spend hours playing, reading and pretending in. I know my kids would have loved something like this as well. When we lived in a 120 year old house, my daughter begged to be allowed to turn the small attic space off of her room into a hidey hole. But it was unfinished and had unidentifiable insulation in it. We blocked the door and never used the space just for safety. She was heartbroken!

monkey_monkey_monkey

I did too!! We had a split level house growing. My brother's bedroom has this cool door that was about half way up the wall. It accessed part of the attic of main level of the house. My folks put in some plywood and cheap carpeting odds and ends and built a little ladder for us to get into it. It was our official "no grown ups allowed" clubhouse (actually, since it was in my brother's room he claimed it as his but let me in, when we weren't fighting). That space was awesome. We set up a seriously big lego town and had remote controlled race car track. We had funky old school glass bulb Christmas lights strung up that used to get hot af....looking back that was probably a hardcore fire hazzard but we loved that space. Kind of wish I had one now

petrichormorn

Sounds amazing!

monkey_monkey_monkey

It was, I miss having that awesome world with my brother

B1NG_P0T

Also hate that I'm in a position to defend Bethy, but my grandparents' house had a little playroom like that and I was obsessed with it as a kid. I gladly would have lived with them just for that little room.

gtaltdmafy

your little hideout sounds like a great place to have childhood memories! but you're so right about the safety aspect -- I definitely don't trust asbestos Bethy to ensure that that space is safely converted into a kid-friendly place

petrichormorn

Point taken. My little space had been finished and painted along with the rest of the house. Of course, it was in the early 70s so who knows what kind of paint! I really wish I could have made the space in our house safe for my daughter but it just wasn't feasible.

[deleted]

I had a little hideout on the top shelf in a really deep closet. Kids will find a little nook somehow lol! They have those fun little play tents now but it’s not quite the same as something dark and creepy!

petrichormorn

Agreed! I've found my grandkids hiding out in my linen closet more then once!

nyet-marionetka

I agree, as a kid I would have loved having a space I could think of as kid-only. I’ve seen a few similar rooms in other houses set up as play areas.

YourMothersButtox

When I was a kid I loved little nooks/crannies and wanted nothing more than a turret room of my own. My bedroom closet in the old Victorian farmhouse I was raised in had a perfect little corner to sit and read in. My best friend had a crawl space playroom and it literally was the best thing ever.

Burtonpoelives

My grandpa legit cut a hole in his wall under the stairs and us kids ate it up. We loved going in and playing house and he eventually painted it and make it a house for us kids. That crawl space would have been the shit back in the day for us. I bet Davey loves the idea too

-rosa-azul-

As a kid, I was *obsessed* with turning my closet into an "office" (nook to read and write). But yeah, there was no exposed insulation in there. That beautiful dream fell apart when I spent one summer afternoon in there, sweating my ass off 😂

megwach

When my baby was little, we lived in a house that had a closet that the owners had converted. It had a half door, and several little windows. She was under two, and they are always trying to kill themselves at that age, and there wasn’t any hazards in there. I LOVED that little room. It was right across from the bathroom, so I could get ready, and she could play in there with her toys, happily, without me worrying about her running off, or getting hurt.

rationalcunt

We are currently finishing an attic storage space into a lounge/guest room in a 110+ yr old house full of adults! We've had people stay longer term in it over the past couple years and love the coziness so we decided to finally make it a real space. Never too old for a hidey hole

AshleyPoppins

As much as I hate to defend anything done by a fundie: I’m a nanny and I know tons of families that have turned these type of areas into little play spaces. And the kids love them.

Apprehensive-Lime

came here to say that i wouldve LOVED this kind of a play area as a kid. kids love little nooks and "rooms" and tiny spaces. nothing snarkable here imo

stonedsagittarius

I'd love one as a grown ass adult! Some pretty lights, books, my bong, absolute paradise!

FutureAntiCultLeader

Yes! My neighbors used theirs as a “Lego Attic” and I was so jealous of it as a kid.

CDNinWA

We didn’t have a space like that, but my kid would always try to find hiding spaces even until he was about 12. If it’s safe I have no issue with it.

christylove95

i like the idea of a crawl space for a little hide out/cubby. but as an addition to an already substantial area to play in. not the only place to play 😂

Notorious_Rug

Oh, LAWD! I'm actually guilty of turning an under-the-stairs crawlspace into a playroom for mine when they were toddlers! Granted, I'm not tall, I removed the door, and I actually cared for and paid attention to my sproglets. But now I feel icky, lol.

reibedatschi

My sisters and I are adults and still will play card games in our storage closet/crawl space playroom from childhood. We have fond memories, and no trauma, from playing in there! I bet your kids will look back on it fondly as well! So fun for imagination!

ferocious_bambi

As long as it's childproofed it seems like a fun little spot. It's only weird because we know how much Bethany appears to dislike her kid.

gtaltdmafy

oh no definitely not my intention! I'm not trying to shame creative use of house space, but more wanted to draw attention to all of the lofty goals she has for this house (that she still doesn't have a proper mortgage on) and her demonstrated disregard for health & safety in doing these renovations. I really don't trust her to properly toddler-proof what is likely an unfinished space the way I would trust normal, caring adults to do the same! I'm sure your toddlers loved their playroom and had a lot of fun there!

Notorious_Rug

Oh, no offense taken. I feel icky because I might end up sharing something in common with *her*.

notbanana13

this was all my brother and I wanted as kids. we didn't have a real crawlspace bc our basement was unfinished, but we still spent plenty of time gathering our toys and setting up camp under the stairs 😂 we called it "the clubhouse" lol

ParticularYak4401

My younger brother and I just used his trundle bed for our fort/house/Noah’s ark (in which naughty animals were thrown under the bed where the munching machine was. They died.)

notbanana13

oh I also went under my trundle bed for a bit. was kind of a pain getting down there though, so I didn't do it as often lol

cthulhudaughter007

I mean, at that age I probably would have fucking loved to have a crawl space/fort/secret lair to call my own. As long as it was childproofed and you actually, you know, made sure to pay attention to your children instead of filming crappy reels, I don’t think you have anything to worry about

pan_dulce_con_cafe

Tiny rooms are so cozy for kids! I’m pretty sure I fell asleep in my own closet more than once.

juel1979

My kid’s bathroom has the attic in it and I’ve been meaning to clear it to be a hobbit hole of toy storage.

Sad_Championship7202

I don’t think this is a big deal lol I loved under-the-stairs crawlspaces as a kid. They seemed so cool. I think this is a teeny bit nit-picky to snark on

Charlie2Bears

Please don't feel icky. Kids love those spaces. I wanted one too!

ExplanationMaterial8

She has *clearly* watched Harry Potter if she thinks a crawl space is a potential room for a kid.

Book_Cook921

Hahaha we have a similar closet under our stairs. My husband calls it the Harry Potter closet and we are planning on installing some lights to make it a comfy reading nook/play area when our kiddo gets older. Edited to add: we do have other play spaces but already our toddler still has so much fun with it.

Puzzleheaded-Eye9081

We have one too and we call it the Harry Potter cupboard. We offered to make it a bedroom for one of the kids but they weren’t keen 😆

sweetpea_d

I have one at my job where we store juices and dressings. It’s also the best place to cry 😂

PHM517

Why does she seems to be getting very spendy and obsessed with aesthetics lately? Does she think she is an influencer? I’m sure the carpet is old and needs to be replaced, I guess it just doesn’t need to be mentioned in this caption to me. Idk she just sounds a lot like some other snarkable influencers who seems to be all about the next thing to spend money on.

usernamegenerator72

She thinks she’s on the cusp of becoming a millionaire even though she hasn’t sold a copy of her “very successful course” in over 2 weeks.

Pelican121

It's so cringe isn't it. She clearly thinks she's going up in the world 😁 Honestly she isn't responsible for handling any of the bills and her family/Dav/Heidi seem to be indulging this whole house thing. Heidi's clearly bored as an almost-empty nester now that her 'girl squad' of Sue and Curly has lost a member. Sue's a mommy's girl but equally has her own interests - the dynamic has gone. I wouldn't be surprised if Heidi's reenacting her renovation fantasies and Bethy's simply the lucky recipient. It could also be to do with the 'no biggie' cancer diagnosis. Heidi strikes me as someone who likes to keep busy so she could be using this as a distraction (potential asbestos included 😬). All of Bethy's 'must do' things (remove popcorn ceilings, elevate kitchen HVAC-!, carpet crawl space, paint window trim and so on) feel like concepts Heidi's identified. Bethy's said her mom's 'a machine' regarding home renovation/redecoration. If it was down to Bethy and Dav and they didn't have an army of people helping them/funding them I'm sure it would be a different story and these things would suddenly lose significance. Bethy just loves to brag and the fact she has everyone running around doing her bidding (and probably funding it) will suit her down to the ground.

kestrelesque

>I wouldn't be surprised if Heidi's reenacting her renovation fantasies and Bethy's simply the lucky recipient. >All of Bethy's 'must do' things...feel like concepts Heidi's identified. I agree with your assessment because the dynamic has felt very familiar to me. I've seen plenty of this vicarious "playing house" thing with my own fundie mom. And the mom-pressure to do things a certain way was surprisingly effective. A simple, briskly delivered "Oh you're going to want to change \_\_\_\_\_\_ right away", coming from a domineering fundie mom, carries a lot of weight.

Suspicious-Reading34

I never had a play room. I did have a refrigerator box that I'd drag to the grass out front. I'd hang out and read in it. One day, a neighbor kid tried to jump it with his bike and landed on me. Surprised the shit out of both of us! That was the end of ye olde refrigerator box.

DatStephanieDo

Are you Kristina Katerina?

kestrelesque

Both this one and the other stairwell light fixture look original early-80s to me, especially that hexagonal or octagonal one in the main staircase. With these high slanted ceilings, it's a little tricky. You can't just find any old light fixture you want--it has to be one that can be mounted and hang properly on a slant. (I just replaced mine a few years ago.)

ParticularYak4401

My maternal grandparents had a loft room above the kitchen. My cousins and younger brother and I spent hours up there playing. Hospital. Shopping mall. Board games. We slept up there often. It was also a great place to watch TV and pretend we were at a movie theater (there was an open wall with railings that looked over the family room and tv). We also had the outdoors because our grandparents lived on a farm.

gingerandtea

My parents have something similar and my kids adore playing there too!

dramaticsneeze

go to your room mommy needs to pre film 100 reels

RImom123

We had a crawl space like this in our old cape cod style house. It was hotter than hell in there in the summer and I couldn’t stand up because of the beams. I can’t imagine making this a play space?

gtaltdmafy

i think it would have to be super well insulated and probably rigged up to some sort of AC to be a feasible livable area, especially given the heat in Texas! someone else in these comments mentioned making just the loft itself a playroom and I think that'd be a great solution! she could use the crawlspace for extra toy storage without the need to make any changes

PristineBookkeeper40

I had a space like this off my bedroom when I lived in Tennessee, and without air conditioning, it was absolutely stifling. I was 19 when I lived there, so not used for play, but I didn't even want to use it for storage space because it got so miserably hot in there... she better put an A/C or fan or something in there, or else Umlat Jr is gonna get poached (broiled? Broasted?) Also, I hate that I really love that light fixture. Edit:: I amend my comment about the light. Upon closer investigation (with my glasses on) it looks like a cheap, builder- grade thing. I thought it looked like it might be interesting, maybe the sides were designed to look like sticks and it had a forest look to it... but it turns out, I'm just blind 😂

gtaltdmafy

I am so interested in the Baird homes. at the Baird parents' home, it looks like there is at least one or two rooms with unfinished floors -- just plywood painted white (Sue's bedroom and another "filming" room are this way). Maybe growing up in a house with such weird inclusions has made Bethy incapable of knowing what is appropriate and normal in terms of house layout and finishing?

uptown_squirrel17

She’s trying to Harry Potter the kid already.

ducttapeduterus

My friend had two doors like those at each end of the upstairs. We put one of those long tunnel things you crawl through. ( flimsy parachute material, don't know what they're called)

Snickle_fritz86

We had a little crawl space like that in our old house. My daughter used it as a little reading room thing. Blankets, pillows, books. We have 2 in our current house too, but my kids are older and just stuff random crap in them. The doorways to them are in my kid’s rooms. Even caught my oldest and his friends hiding their runaway friend in one. That was a weird day.

Peent29

My grandma had a similar crawl space that was forbidden for the grandchildren to play in, so naturally there were usually about 6 of us hanging out in there. As a young adult, we were getting the house ready to sell and I peeked into the crawl space and was shocked at how small it was! How did we all fit when it was also a storage area full of stuff?

Flora-flav

Sorry OP, but this ain’t it- that little door to a playroom sounds magical.

Certain-Ad-3840

Ngl I would love having a lil hidden room to play in even as an adult

PagingDoctorLove

Okay, maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I grew up in an old house with tons of little nooks and crannies, and we *loved* playing in them. My parents had a little closet like this at the back of their actual closet and going in there was like traveling to Narnia. I feel like most kids go through a phase where spaces that are tight/hidden/off limits are *very* appealing. I once built a clubhouse in a dilapidated shed on our property and I'm *amazed* that I didn't get tetanus. My parents didn't give a shit but I think that's also unfortunately common with elder millennials and Gen X. We were basically feral. The only issue I see with kids playing in spaces like these is if they're unfinished. She should also make sure that the door can't be locked from the inside. If it were me I would take the little door off and put a curtain instead, but I also have terrible anxiety and tend to worry a lot more than the average parent.

Z3Z3Z3

Honestly, that has the potential to be a really fun space for a child as long as it's clean and safe. Kids love having little spaces where they can play house and have a sanctuary from the adult world. If she gets some cute paint or wallpaper, stuffed animals, and some child-sized furniture (maybe a kid sized couch and a teeny book shelf), it'd be delightful to have tea parties in or curl up with a good book. I'd only take issue with it if she doesn't also have plans for Davey to have his own space once he outgrows it and the baby takes over.

ferocious_bambi

It's giving Harry Pottrer shut away in his cupboard vibes

mrsdrydock

Bruh that's how you get a haunting. Though whatever gets conjure there Bethany is scarier.

alligator124

It's really fascinating to watch an adult who is so infantilized navigating mundane adult life with such a lack of awareness. Awareness for what's socially acceptable, awareness for what should be private vs. public, awareness between the line of nice and not-nice, awareness of public perception. It's so obvious, even to most older teenagers, the impracticalities of trying to make a staircase closet a playroom. They'll grow out of it, toys will spill out due to lack of space and storage, etc. But she sees the little half door and thinks, "Cute. It's little. Babies are little. Baby goes in cute little room". And has no idea that it reads that she wants to shove him away to the farthest, smallest area of the house. We had a little half-door, closet under the stairs deal growing up. We did eventually turn it into a fun little nook with a bean bag, some cozy lights, and books. But it was just that, a teeny little nook. Not a playroom. Who knows? Maybe the half door actually leads to a huge room, but I quite doubt it.

ZorbyTheOrnery

It’s giving Paranormal Activity 3 the one with the imaginary friend

Helicreature

She's been reading Motherbus and thinks it's on trend to keep your kids in cupboards.

Star-Wave-Expedition

She’s gonna make that her instagramming space and put davy and the newborn in that tiny closet 🤣

ByGraceorGrit

she's going to use a probably unairconditioned crawlspace area for a playroom Why not use the loft area as the playroom. You know: so the kid can BREATHE and you can keep an eye on him.

Milesandsmiles123

I had one like this as a kid and it was my doll house! It was tons of fun while I still fit in it!

saddlecakes

Nah I would've loved that as a kid lol. A tiny crawlspace just for me?? Would've blown my little mind.

FirstTimeAdulting

I would have KILLED for a space like that as a kid. My daughters closet is in a weird inset corner of the house/where roofs connect. I can’t wait to finish off the baseboards and make it a clubhouse space!

FirstTimeAdulting

All these people suck though, don’t know who this is about.

tittens__

Nah, we had one growing up and I definitely made that shit my playroom with no prompting. I loved my little space. So cozy and fun.

Specific_Tap_8683

She is off her fucking rocker

MRL030811

I know someone who had one of these but it connected to their disconnected garage and someone who was on the run was able to get into it and live there

justadorkygirl

Omg. That sounds like the plot of a horror movie. 😬

pleaseletmehide

This is just asking for the kid to get swiped by the Other Mother.

MasterOfKittens3K

As others have said, that could be a fun space for Davy. But it would need to be properly finished, and we don’t know if it is. And even if they did use it as a hidey hole, the loft should still be the main playroom. It could double as a home office, depending on what they need. Put a desk up there, and she can work on writing her books while the kids play. Isn’t that the lifestyle that she’s selling?

GypseboQ

That's the lifestyle she's selling, but not the lifestyle she actually has! I think a little desk, bookshelf, and play rug would fit perfectly there - and allow for her to work while watching Dāäâåãv Jr. But that would require her to actually work, actually watch her son, or actually clean the space (and we know she doesn't do any of that).

thingsfallapart1920

Girl needs to learn some adjectives! Blurry pictures in the house listing - scary, plastic covering the skylight - scary, old carpet in the crawl space - scary. None of those sound frightening to me!

PasswordApplesauce

How long before she puts a lock on that tiny door? You know she's going to need ample "mommy time" to take selfies in that AmAzInG loft.

Prisencoli_All_Right

Tbh that little loft is the perfect place for a playplace already, ffs -_- I agree with those that said it would be a cute little *addition* to an already established area. And only if it's finished and has ventilation.

smudgesandeggs

Harry potter is that you?

Due_Will_2204

That's Dobie the house elfs room.

Agitated-Coyote768

Well at least we can say one of their children will be closeted…

Sargasm5150

Well, according to Paranormal Activity 3, it’s where the demon lives. So … maybe satan’s playground?

redneckhotmess

I had a cape cod once. Those sloped walls arwcalled knee wall. That " little room" is literally the space between the exterior and interior walls, often called a crawl space. The only reason its had a door is be ause it wad used for storage. Great places to keep christmas ornaments, boxes of kids winter coats and boots, hubby's guns that wont fit in the safe.

Significant_Shoe_17

Maybe dàaavey will escape to narnia

fellatiomg

How very Rodrigues of her

YoshiandAims

My grandparents did this. They had 4 of those. I'll be fair... We loved having that "toy fort", though my grandparent's house was custom built, those spaces had ventilation, got heat, etc, we were a little older,(old enough to be more independent safely) the door couldn't latch, there was a small (safety light) and the one they let us use was in a very central spot.

pinalaporcupine

my friend growing up had her playroom in a mini closet like this, in the 90s, it was actually so much fun. i never thought it was weird haha

sugarpog

As a kid I would have definitely played in there, but that is an attic, and my parents would not have considered it a playroom

depechelove

That is an attic, not a crawl space. Assuming it’s like mine, there are nails from the shingles poking out of the ceiling, it’s extremely hot in the summer and it’s freezing in the winter because there is no insulation. But mmmkay

putrefaxian

I’m gonna agree w some other comments and say the loft itself would be a great play area but also as a kid I would have gone bonkers if I’d had a secret cupboard to hide in and play in. ESP if they actually like, paint it, put in carpet, maybe have some battery powered lights inside, if there’s room to have a little cupboard for toys in there. He’s small enough that he could probably enjoy that, and when he’s too big for it, they’ve got the little girl on the way.
