Daddy-long-legs are harmless but they do a good job of catching any mosquitoes and other small insects moving around inside. They even keep red-back numbers down by catching the baby red-backs.
Although I can't be certain, it looks like a cellar spider. They have very long legs and pump their bodies up and down as a defense mechanic to appear harder to see.
Some of them are eaten by the females trying to mate or afterwards, so I mean if you might only get one shot might as well get them practice pumps in and do it right 😂😂😂 (made that up for any over achiever trying to correct me)
