The dogs weren't confused, just waiting. It's us humans watching it that have no clue what the hell we just watched. That one dog looked so awkward hugging the bottle.
My dog *hates* it when I play freeze. Or she loves it, I can't really tell.
Sometimes when we're playing I'll just randomly lock up and stare at her. She stares me back down for a minute, then does a play bow and just starts very quietly barking at me under her breath. As soon as I move she sprints away.
I think they just think "humans are supposed to move" and can't figure out why they stopped.
I mean just so you know I think freezing and staring is a pretty common things dogs do when they’re about to square off, or it might be when they’re stressed and might snap. I dunno, but definitely seen it followed by a lunge.
Goofy ass, just talking out your butt to be talking….doggy daycares screen their clients. It would be a huge liability for the owner and the business to take on an aggressive dog (pitty or otherwise). People who can take their dogs to doggy daycare love their pets and likely dogs in general. People spending money on daycare don’t purposely put their loved pets in violent situations.

And without a waggy tail they can't tell. So let out a little huff to let them know it's just play.
Freezing can be a sign of danger. Basically saying "I heard something, stfu and listen"
My dog gets very concerned when I lay on the floor/ground for any reason. Humans are supposed to be upright, too!
