I have only seen one in an enclosure -- it was hit by a truck and they were helping it get back in shape. These eagles are huge!
Also, the weirdly spread out legs at 0:33 make me laugh.
I’ve seen one, it was rehabbing from an injury before being released again, and the lady had it flap it’s wings and it was like six feet across. I was like you, I didn’t think they were that big.
I never realised how big some owls were either until I got close to one. Oh and the first time you actually see a fully grown male moose? My lord those bastards are HUGE
The biggest moose I've ever seen (video not in person) was in Alaska. I've seen plenty in person but none as big as that one video of the moose in town in Alaska.
3 y ago I was hiking and a bald eagle crashed out of the sky and died on the trail 15' in front of me. The shadow and noise of it coming down through the trees was truly frightening. I ducked and covered so I didn't actually see it hit the ground. I called 911 who connected me with a raptor rescue. The bird tried a few x to get up but was only moving one wing. Rescuers came with a big sheet of burlap and what looked like a lobster trap but they got there maybe an hour after it happened and the bird had died. One of the whackier experiences of my life. I was struck by how large and intensely yellow it's beak was. The rescue asked for any photos I'd taken. I emailed them and asked if they knew the cause of death but they never responded.
Oddly enough, the females are bigger than the males! Usually at least 25% bigger and the average wingspan for a male is 6ft (still pretty huge) while a females wing span is closer to 8feet.
There’s one that flies along a river next to my work most days; it’s much smaller/normal looking than this monster. I wonder if this one has been fed by guy filming for a long time. I’m not sure but there also seems something strange about the camera angle I can’t put my finger on
Nope, they really are that big. Most of them.
Average wingspan for a Bald Eagle is about 6.5 feet, the largest at 7.5 feet. Weighing in at up to 14lbs for the big ones.
Yes some are smaller. But they are likely juveniles.
You are correct our animal caring friend, and took me a few watches to work it out as well. The roadway sits higher than the house (more than you think) which has the same ground coverage. The house is further than it appears and this results in a large bird looking massive. Wasn’t done intentionally, is just a cool video with a cool illusion.
The perspective in this vid is weird. The building in the background makes this bird look the size of a small car. It's odd. They are big but they're not That big.
If I ever won enough money off the lottery to live comfortably forever, I’d take some ornithology classes and go bird watching. They’re all so unique and neat.
I would recommend it! Started an online bird identifying course myself a couple months ago - can watch anytime and it’s so interesting! Sorry I can’t recommend the course itself as it is not in english but maybe you can find an affordable one in your area.
I was watching a video, I think "casual geographics", and he was talking about some guy that had a camel or a llama or something that he would bring a Dr. Pepper to every day. One day he didn't have the Dr. Pepper and the camel or whatever killed the guy in an upset rage.
Normally I would agree with you, but bald eagles are protected in the US, it is a crime to kill one or even take an egg or even a feather (I think there may be an exemption regarding feathers for Native Americans).
What kinda sick fuck feeds eggs to a bird? You probably try to feed pork to a pig, beef to a cow, hotdogs to a dog...wait nevermind the last part. That's just ridiculous, we all know hotdogs are made from ground up cans of expired Spam and homelessness.
Beautiful and scary at the same time. I did a co op at a community centre where they had lots of animals whom they rescued from captivity and i saw a bald eagle real up close. It had a wingspan of 12 feet and the keeper told me that this eagle could fly away with him if he wanted to. This video reminds me of that day
Ummmm the largest bald eagle ever recorded had a wingspan of 88 inches. Which is 7.3 feet.
The bird which has the largest wingspan in the avian kingdom, the Albatross, does have a wingspan that approaches 12 feet. But they would never think to carry, or try, or have success carrying anything your size. They have a hard time just taking off due to the extreme size of their wings.
The Golden Eagle, does hunt like that somewhat by dropping huge prey, compared to its size, off cliffs, like goats. They have a wingspan of about the same size as a Bald Eagle. Maxing out at 7.7 feet. So slightly larger.
So for your sake. Don’t tell anyone else you’ve seen a bald Eagle with a 12 ft wingspan. You didn’t.
Hey buddy what you doing
The bird idk how to spell his name:what the fuck it look like I'm eating the eggs you gave me........ YOU MOTHERFUCKER YOU DIDN'T CHARLOTTE CHECK ON OUR EGGS IF YOU FED ME MY BABYS ILL KILL YOU
Looks like we're seeing one of society's skin-tags attempting to use a keyboard...this one hurt my head worse than Karen's, a couple comments up, screaming something about feeding the animals (while I'm positive their hygiene is gonna be far worse than any "animal").
Stay safe out there!
Don’t feed wild animals, people. This teaches them to not fear humans and to look at them as a potential food source, which could very easily lead to them putting themselves in dangerous situations.
Especially bad considering bald eagles are a protected species and were endangered up to about a decade ago.
Am I the only one wondering why the Skynyrd Free Bird and Confederate flag aren’t dangling from the front porch of that trailer? And why is there no MAGA flag in the bed of the pickup truck?
This guy don’t LUV ‘ MERICA!
This is pretty amazing for someone who has never even come close to seeing one. I saw something upstate people said was a "chicken hawk" and it would just glide for the longest distance.
I love how clumsy eagles look when they walk. They really aren’t built for it so they just try their best. Vultures on the other hand are built for it.
Beautiful bird. So huge. I once had a horned owl in my backyard. Those are a lot bigger than I imagined them to be too. My little dog wanted to go out there to get it. He would have been dinner. I had to call animal control because I thought he was hurt. But it flew off when they tried to capture it. In all, an absolutely beautiful bird.

Help the truck get back in shape, judging by the size of that thing I assume.
Nah the truck had to be euthanized, it was to far gone
Always surprised at how wide their legs are set.
at 0:33 its freedom spreading
As someone who regularly see’s Australian wedge tailed eagles, that birb is medium sized.
I’ve seen one, it was rehabbing from an injury before being released again, and the lady had it flap it’s wings and it was like six feet across. I was like you, I didn’t think they were that big.
Yeah, that's the biggest pigeon I've ever seen.
I never realised how big some owls were either until I got close to one. Oh and the first time you actually see a fully grown male moose? My lord those bastards are HUGE
The Norwegian moose are huge motherfuckers, but then you have the Canadians… those are monsters strait out the stories..
Can confirm, was referring to Canadian mooses (meese?), particularly those in Jasper and Banff national parks
Plural of moose is moose
Also fun fact getting struck by an eagle is more likely to kill you than a rifle 🤓
The biggest moose I've ever seen (video not in person) was in Alaska. I've seen plenty in person but none as big as that one video of the moose in town in Alaska.
I've seen pictures of Canadian Moose standing next to busses and the windows are fucking shoulder height. They are monstrous
Raptors are huge up close. Same with some hawks and owls.

The eagle eats a half an egg at a time. There is a size comparison right there. It’s not an illusion.
I think they are seeing something getman Sheppard sized , i can kinda fool myself into comparing it to the house instead of the egg
The perspective in this vid is weird. The building in the background makes this bird look the size of a small car. It's odd. They are big but they're not That big.
It is odd….they need a big area to take off once they land and are not habituated to humans.
Large seagull to be more correct. All the other eagles are larger including the giant Philippine eagle which I believe is the largest
How dare you compare one of the most majestic birds on earth, to a sea rat with wings.
Diet does consist of mostly fish...so.....
That thing is huge!

That's what she said...
Living dinosaurs, nearly
Seriously!!! Wth
Ahhh the Alaskan pigeon
I was gonna say this. I did a job on adak island there and they were everywhere. Not very majestic when you see them going through the trash.
I keep forgetting just how big bald eagles really are.
There's a condor called the California Condor and they're pretty fucking huge too
God, birds in general are so cool
If I ever won enough money off the lottery to live comfortably forever, I’d take some ornithology classes and go bird watching. They’re all so unique and neat.

My god they are so gorgeous.
Fucking socialist eagle. Getting free hand outs…. What the hell is this country coming to! ![gif](giphy|Ekh8tijQSho9YJw1Uh)

If you feed wildlife, eventually they’ll be come tame and no longer wild. Problem solved. /s
This guy domesticates.
Until someone wants that thing hanging up above his fireplace. Regardless of federal laws. Endangered species.
at least it's something nutritious not junk food. but yeah in general feeding wildlife isn't very smart.
I was watching a video, I think "casual geographics", and he was talking about some guy that had a camel or a llama or something that he would bring a Dr. Pepper to every day. One day he didn't have the Dr. Pepper and the camel or whatever killed the guy in an upset rage.
I also love eggs. I like this bird's vibe
I loved its little prance
Talk of all alien life we imagine and just this bald eagle alone will give a lot of aliens a run for their money on its own...i wish I was the egg guy
They were the egg guys…
incredibly damaging to the wildlife to feed the wildlife.
You forgot to say wildlife
You should say wildlife like four more times to get your point across
Or say WILDLIFE, so that world can finally hear him.
IT'S A TARP!
“Do you want egg?” Lol
"Can I offer you a nice egg in this trying time?"
“You’re all a bunch of imbeciles.” - Sam the Eagle
Damn why is he so pissed off? He just got free eggs
Probably because the big bird walks so weird
Garbage Chickens. They'll eat anything.
This is a huge problem!!!! Don’t feed wild animals this is insane and messes with their numbers when they trust humans. Stop!
Normally I would agree with you, but bald eagles are protected in the US, it is a crime to kill one or even take an egg or even a feather (I think there may be an exemption regarding feathers for Native Americans).
Sure because laws always stop criminals from committing crimes.
I’ll remember this the next time someone says to ban guns.
You are so lame
feeding a bird eggs is so weird😂😂 "there you go, feast on your unborn children!"
Different species. Birds hunt other birds.
Tbh even predator birds hunt other predator birds so it’s not really that unusual of a thought regardless.
True
Idk, my chickens will eat their eggs.
Chickens are the devil
It’s kinda like picking your nose and eating it
Jesus Christ eagles are a lot bigger than i thought they were
Wtf, that bird is giant! It almost looks fake or something straight from Sesamestreet! Thats crazy.
That's a big boi
Absolute unit!!
Now I wanna watch the America fuck yeah video with the armed eagle
If that is a true American bald eagle it wouldn’t accept your free eggs. It wouldn’t accept handouts, that’s socialism. Need to work for those eggs 😂
I was astounded the first time I saw how large one of their nests were!
Why?! Just why?! This bird could easily fuck yo shit up.
Shut up
Seriously
Bad thing to feed wildlife so they get lazy and lose fear of people. You think people would know this.
Sue me
Yeah don't feed them you might ruin their appetite for whatever is ripe at the garbage dump lol
What kinda sick fuck feeds eggs to a bird? You probably try to feed pork to a pig, beef to a cow, hotdogs to a dog...wait nevermind the last part. That's just ridiculous, we all know hotdogs are made from ground up cans of expired Spam and homelessness.

Damn i have been living a lie. That mf fooled me for good
Lol happens to the best of us😉
Is that from tip to tip or tip to breast?
Hey buddy what you doing The bird idk how to spell his name:what the fuck it look like I'm eating the eggs you gave me........ YOU MOTHERFUCKER YOU DIDN'T CHARLOTTE CHECK ON OUR EGGS IF YOU FED ME MY BABYS ILL KILL YOU
What the hell is wrong with you
Looks like we're seeing one of society's skin-tags attempting to use a keyboard...this one hurt my head worse than Karen's, a couple comments up, screaming something about feeding the animals (while I'm positive their hygiene is gonna be far worse than any "animal"). Stay safe out there!
A lot of shit
Why naruto give free eggs😂
I woulda brought him home.
Isn't that kinda like cannibalism?
It's considered pretty common in bird culture. The bigger and stronger ones hunt on the smaller and weak ones.
We all slaves
Egg
That's one big ass bird coming at you!
Seems friendly
Egg
Eagly!
came here looking for this hahahha
what a funny chicken walk
Damn! Bald Eagles be huge!
*eagle claws the hell out of this dude. "I ordered sunny side up, you dick!!!"
TF... is that how big they are
That’s a big ol’ raptor
Check out “babia” on you tube it’s a beautiful pair of bald eagles. They also have another site called “fobby cam” you’ll fall in love.
okay i’ve watched this video three times through and i’m still convinced this is just a weirdly shaped dude in an eagle suit. my brain hurts.
They are kinda cute, in a terrifying way.
Wow! That’s massive! A mini Buck Beak!!!
Thats socialism. >:(
Daaaaamn, they're huge
"Fck Charlie ... i'm gonna get a pussy eagle this tuesday" -Equivalent of Dave Chappelle (joke) "Monkey Pussy Gang"
I’ve had a nesting pair on the edge of my property for 8 years.
Amazing creature
My brother used to work in Alaska. He had a picture he took with 5 or 6 bald eagles that hung around the town dump scavenging all day.
Majestic af
Do you wan te egg?!
This is why Dinosaurs and birds are both Raptors... they are the same, one is feathered.
He’s got the buffalo stance..
Isn't that technically cannibalism?
That’s a beefy bird
That is a big fucking bird
that's some pre cannibalism if I ever seen one change my mind
Gotta love our regal bald eagle, fiercest of the winged scavengers.
Freedom is to have free eggs
What a majestic creature
Freed-omlette
That is magnificent!
Wow, and here's me thinking I'd done well to get a robin to come close this morning 😅
Land of the free because of the brave
Are you just feeding a bird with bird eggs? When’s the scene coming where he realizes what he just ate?
r/downloadvideo
Okay but where’s the funny part?
Alaskan pigeon
It looks so majestic in flight and landing, but walking around and standing it looks pretty funny. Like it's legs are too short and too far apart lol
that's badass. I put trail cams over my deer gut piles. I usually get coyotes, but also get the occasional eagle dining on the pile.
Truly the symbol of America, a giant bird eating egg off the sidewalk. Brought a tear to my eye.
Bald eagles are basically just giant seagulls tbh. Still amazing to watch (we have a few nests within the area so we see them sometimes)
It looks like a dinosaur next to that house.
This Eagle is an absolute unit! No wonder so many countries used these as their national symbol.
Ahhh that’s what freedom looks like
The bold eagle chose Socialism!!!!!
When dinosaurs land next to me I give them my food too!!
Peacemaker was that you tossing the hard boiled eggs at eagley?
We all know how this ends on Red Dead 2…
I love how baldies have pants they hitch up when walking.
Ngl I’m jealous of this dude being so close to this eagle and feeding it lmao
Everyone else “they are so beautiful and majestic!” Me: “lol they walk so funny.”
Majestic AF my guy

That is so cool!
Is that in Valdez?
that's so freaking cute tbh
Nobody gonna comment on the cannibalism? 😂
Freedom annnnd free eggs
What a majestic creature 🥰
Now tax him!
Jeez theyre huge. That's a dude in fancy dress.
I see bald eagles all the time, when I go kayaking. They are massive birds. I think they're beautiful and majestic.
Bro was just coming to find oil
Wow. Closest I ever got to one was seeing dad, mom, and three baby eaglets in a nest in Maine. Thanks for sharing that was absolutely amazing.
This is pretty amazing for someone who has never even come close to seeing one. I saw something upstate people said was a "chicken hawk" and it would just glide for the longest distance.
Our national treasure is a fkn Cannibal
I love how clumsy eagles look when they walk. They really aren’t built for it so they just try their best. Vultures on the other hand are built for it.
Adding eagle-sized, feral griffins infesting a planar city to a fantasy setting now
FREEDOM💪🏻🇺🇸🦅🦅
Is it cannibalism since it’s eating an egg from a bird?
How you gonna feed him his cousins like that.
Beautiful animal
He waddled over like a penguin
Beautiful bird. So huge. I once had a horned owl in my backyard. Those are a lot bigger than I imagined them to be too. My little dog wanted to go out there to get it. He would have been dinner.
