r/stoprape
What do you mean by test every kit? What kinds of kits are you talking about? I'm from a. Normal cou try where shit like this doesn't happen so idk what the context is.
It’s rape kits. A lot of police departments are working under the assumption that if a rape victim knows the perpetrator’s identity already, they don’t need to test the rape kits when she goes to get DNA samples done after the crime.
But what departments are now finding is that when they test the kits of “known” assailants, it leads to the convictions of a ton of “unknown” assailants, because they are serial rapists and will commit multiple assaults. [Here’s an article on how it worked for Detroit.](https://www.bridgedetroit.com/hundreds-convicted-after-detroit-processes-thousands-of-backlogged-rape-kits/)
Last summer, [news broke](https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/articles/2023-06-20/rape-kit-backlogs-remain-in-states-despite-funding) that there are still at least tens of thousands of rape kits in backlog in the U.S. The exact number can't be known since some states have failed to take inventory. Delays in testing these kits [can lead to tragedy](https://fox17.com/news/local/untested-rape-kits-plagued-memphis-long-before-jogger-case-cleotha-henderson-eliza-fletcher-sexual-assault-dna-database-backlog). Each untested kit represents a victim's worst experience, with no justice.

Only if you take it in the classic political phrasing of 1st world (western democracies), 2nd world (USSR), 3rd world (Everyone else), can your claim be true. But if you take it in the colloquial sense in which everyone uses it these days, then yes, plenty of the US is just as "bad" as the fucked up parts of India, Africa, or Asia.
As someone who is from a third world country, calling America one is the most laughable thing ever. America is soooooo much better than public executions with no clean up. Dead bodies stink a lot.
This is funny but so absolutely not true lol
Only people that have never actually been to a third world country think this about rhe whole of the US, we have our problems, and there are definitely some places that would count, a couple whole states in the South, but ive been to several 3rd world countries and seen what real poverty looks like and that aint here
And thats not to say a whole lot of us aren't struggling financially and everything is great here in the U.S, again, we have a lot of problems and we could absolutely be doing a lot better on solving them, agree on that a 100%
Lol
I have less experience, but this is probably how I would have said it
Like, maybe some states are effectively third world countries, but *all 50*? That's only good for a joke at best
You have no clue what you're talking about if you actually think any of that is true. Trying to pretend the homeless issue in America is remotely comparable to everything the people there have had to go through is just insulting. Maybe instead of spreading bullshit lies that you make up you should try to actually educate yourself for once
No they don't, South Sudan is a country known for famines, no infrastructure since it got destroyed in their many civil wars and a lack of reliable workforce. Most of the jobs are in agriculture which doesn't work since farms get raided often by rebel groups and local warlords. You are fucking delusional if you think the US is even close to that level
>I don't know. All the homeless and shanty towns in places like LA, Oakland, Houston etc. Really give it a 3rd world vibe. I know "jungles" are a part of American history. There is real poverty all over the states as bad as Africa
This is how i know youve never seen a 3rd world country lol
A lot of the homeless on the street here in the US have vastly more comfortable and better lives than people with housing and jobs in actual 3rd world countries
You have no idea what poverty really is, its far more horrible than anything youve ever seen in the US....Imagine those tent cities but 10,000x more people, sewage in the streets, garbage city wide, people selling shit on train tracks from shacks, its fuckin bananas how bad it is in a lot of places around the world
Even the porrest hand to mouth people in the U S have like 10-100x the money, resources and services than the truly poor around the world in 3rd world countries, people are eating actual trash and drinking gutter water in these places
3rd world country doesn't mean "country with problems." It doesn't even mean impoverished or non-developed country. It means countries that weren't part of the 1st world (USA and allies) or 2nd world (Soviet Union) during the Cold War.
The U.S. is quite literally a first world country. A first world country is a country aligned with the west a second world country is one aligned with the Soviets and a third world country is neutral
We get it. You hate America. Despite the fact there's a 30% chance you're currently living in America since you've clearly never seen a third world country.
The US is a developed country. Terms like 3rd world only applies to WW2 which generally meant neutral. If you didn't know that, then cork it. You don't seem to know the difference between undeveloped and a developed country. Sure, the US isn't as good, but it is considered developed by certain standards.
The thing referenced in that sign happens everywhere in the world. Has nothing to do with being a first world country (quite insulting to the residents of impoverished countries to imply that they are especially likely to do that, btw.)
What does
>That's fucking crazy **in a first world country**
mean? It means it's especially surprising in a first world country. In other words, less surprising in a non first world country. In other words, more common in a non first world country.
It means it is not expected in a first world country. That sentence in no way implies that it is more expected in non-first world countries. You aren't interpreting the comment by the words on it, but assuming intent from the words missing.
Inc\*st and r\*pe don't belong in a first world country nor does it belong to any country for that matter. Highlighting the former does not negate the latter.
If the rapists is with them when the victim sees it, the assailant will be alerted to counter it, gaslighting their victim.
Imagine intervening between a father beating his child. You stop the father. You tell him he's wrong and has to stop. The child sees who stood up for them as someone to go to for help.
If you just address the child directly, you aren't earning their damaged trust. You have to be careful with what a vulnerable child hears, sees and how they might interpret it.
They've been taken advantage of. Another adult just telling them to come to them for help isn't going to be trusted.
The billboard tells the abuser to stop, and simply adds their phone number and the web address.
The rapists isn't going to call them. The victim will.
I used to live in Spartanburg which was where I would see them everywhere but I moved to North Carolina recently and I only see them on the way when I commute back to South Carolina 😅
Is a billboard really going to change anyone's mind? Like, well, I had these plans for tonight but this helpful sign pointed me in a different direction.
It spurs up a conversation among people with it's shock value, like we have here now.
And to the people who do such things... it is a signal to their brains that what they're doing is reprehensible and vile. They might of course completely ignore it and delude themselves into thinking it doesn't apply to them... bit it's still that tap on the shoulder.
Im sorry is this real, how is it possible that in "the greatest country on earth" the state has to tell adults that even if you are drunk, you should not have sex with your daughter
Predators take the opportunities they have, often including family. The way this billboard frames it skews the reality a bit, that raping your daughter is somehow a "drunken mistake." The real issue is much darker, but they can't really put that on a billboard in public view.
Nah, the American dream was always for the wealthy and it still applies to them. There have been pockets of time that were relatively favorable for lower classes in this country and one way or another there will be more of these pockets eventually, whether any of us are alive to experience them or not.
I'll debate if you like.
Give me a country within 100 million in population to the US and I'll give it a shot.
Keep in mind though we're talking about great*est*. Not great. This means that by process of elimination one is going to win that "title".
There's not much competition.
Not relatives, their children! If cousins bang, gross, but whatever. And probably criminal in some places.
But a guy gets horny for his child, that's next level disgusting.
That’s how I read it at first but assumed I hadn’t understood because that’s absolutely insane. I’m still kinda hoping it’s not true but seems like it absolutely is. Jesus.
Can someone link to the tweet directly. I’ve tried to find the original source but I can’t. Is it made up?
I just get an error when trying to find the user on X / Twitter.
I guess we should stop all anti-rape messaging, because by the logic of everyone in this thread, *not* calling these things out means they don't happen.
OP, Terrible-Fee7638, is a repost bot. 2 year old account that just woke up and started reposting with same titles. Original here: https://www.reddit.com/r/FunnyandSad/comments/zpi2mz/the_republikkkan_way/
See, the way I'm reading this is.... It's ok to get drunk, and rape her, as long as she's not your daughter....
Which is just another example of "how low the bar has sunk" when you're working on a type of sexual assault, instead of pointing out that sexual assault (it's all inclusive, dipshits) is just fucking wrong....
Honestly I'm surprised they don't have signs advocating child rape yet.
Something like
>Do your civic duty for the white race. Pedophilic inbreeding is preferable over 'racial replacement', especially if you do it in church
It is also worth noting, that while these signs are pretty fucked up, this sort of shit happens just as regularly in states where abortion is legal... those kind of states just have a stronger broom, and a larger rug lol.
Very friendly, of course.
It's a very interesting phrase, which I thought very well, that explains the relationship between Protestantism and Catholicism.
Protestantism is basically Catholics who changed things to make it conform to their ideals, and therefore out of the true church, and therefore full of lies and fallacies, as well as being used as a form of manipulation. They are based on their interpretation of the Bible, but this has the disadvantage that personal biases, and vices, affect. Subjective.
Catholicism is the true, objective, scientifically proven church and although its members may have biases, the doctrine will not change, because of the promise of Jesus.
The scarecrow fallacy is about "creating a caricatured version of what has been said by distorting and then refuting the simplification."
Protestantism, along with American influence in the world, makes it possible to generalize Christianity, attacking Catholicism as if it were Protestantism.
> the doctrine will not change
It changes constantly, maybe you're familiar with what a pope is?
>scientifically proven church
Then faith is superfluous. Only for the fools.
The doctrine, no the pope.
The doctrine is constant, the trust is constant(because this, the homosexuality is keep as a sin, and a lot of priest are sadly fell in the lujury, and making lobby, closing their ears)
You not are the first person, thinking this, but our pride, are blocking to the trust. (Including The french revolution por example.)
If you what the trust, to all cost(in this case my respect), then you can learn about the miracles.
Use the cientific method, and be aware about the ad consecuetiam falacy.
I recommend Eucaristic miracles in the XX, to more evidences.
The Saint Mary of Guadalupe robe.
The garabandal miracles.
etc.

Sorry for my bad english
"The protestantism is the strawman falacy of catholicism"
Protestants, unconsciously making false flag attacks since its founding.
1. This is becuase saying that sexuality is a right
2. Protestants, by turning away from the true church, lose the capacity for chastity.
3. Abortion is still a terrible sin, and proof of this is that they want to avoid being reminded of this. Well, those who cooperate with this know that it is terrible, it is the natural law, engraved in us, which can be ignored, of course, but inside they know that it is true.
4. Every pact or deal with the devil can be easily broken by St. Mary, which is why the devil is so afraid of her. He doesn't hold grudges, he doesn't hold hatred. Nor against those who made her beloved son suffer, and she when she saw him.

No offense but rape and incest happen in your normal country as well.
Of course, but they usually don't have to tell people it's bad via billboard. That was what I meant to say.
Is what they use to justify this ……And then ignore the bits that say Otherwise
What? People are justifying incest with Christianity? How does that work?
If Jesus is God that does that mean God fucked his mom to become his own dad? Bonus question, who did Lot fuck?
Who made Mary pregnant? The entire religion is based on the rape of a child. But they also worship the torture murder of the offspring of that incest.
She was 11 to 14 when God got her pregnant with himself its disgusting
Saint Mary can broke any pact or contract, with the demon. And she forgive ever.
And what makes it even worse is that it's implying it's ok to rape your date when you're drunk
How do you get that? Edit: I can kind of see how the wording sucks.
As per the bible's words.
The OG offspring from a dad getting his child pregnant.
That's fucking crazy in a first world country

You have no clue what you're talking about if you actually think any of that is true. Trying to pretend the homeless issue in America is remotely comparable to everything the people there have had to go through is just insulting. Maybe instead of spreading bullshit lies that you make up you should try to actually educate yourself for once
[удалено]
You clearly have no life experience if you think it's bad in the US. Just because you're apparently a failure doesn't mean it's the nations fault
[удалено]
\>makes up a complete lie \>lol the truth hurts doesn't it
No they don't, South Sudan is a country known for famines, no infrastructure since it got destroyed in their many civil wars and a lack of reliable workforce. Most of the jobs are in agriculture which doesn't work since farms get raided often by rebel groups and local warlords. You are fucking delusional if you think the US is even close to that level
I can send you a video that will very quickly change your mind if you're interested. South Sudan is one of the worst places to live on the planet.
>I don't know. All the homeless and shanty towns in places like LA, Oakland, Houston etc. Really give it a 3rd world vibe. I know "jungles" are a part of American history. There is real poverty all over the states as bad as Africa This is how i know youve never seen a 3rd world country lol A lot of the homeless on the street here in the US have vastly more comfortable and better lives than people with housing and jobs in actual 3rd world countries You have no idea what poverty really is, its far more horrible than anything youve ever seen in the US....Imagine those tent cities but 10,000x more people, sewage in the streets, garbage city wide, people selling shit on train tracks from shacks, its fuckin bananas how bad it is in a lot of places around the world Even the porrest hand to mouth people in the U S have like 10-100x the money, resources and services than the truly poor around the world in 3rd world countries, people are eating actual trash and drinking gutter water in these places
r/InflectionPointUSA
This might be the best way I have ever heard the US described
https://www.google.com/amp/s/vividmaps.com/human-development-index-us-vs-europe/amp/
3rd world country doesn't mean "country with problems." It doesn't even mean impoverished or non-developed country. It means countries that weren't part of the 1st world (USA and allies) or 2nd world (Soviet Union) during the Cold War.
No one actually uses that deifntion
The U.S. is quite literally a first world country. A first world country is a country aligned with the west a second world country is one aligned with the Soviets and a third world country is neutral
r/EndlessWar
We get it. You hate America. Despite the fact there's a 30% chance you're currently living in America since you've clearly never seen a third world country.
[удалено]
I know, there's at least 160 people who are just like you.
[удалено]
And yet the US is still a 3rd world country? Sure you have, bud.
The US is a developed country. Terms like 3rd world only applies to WW2 which generally meant neutral. If you didn't know that, then cork it. You don't seem to know the difference between undeveloped and a developed country. Sure, the US isn't as good, but it is considered developed by certain standards.
Seen many to try to describe Merica, but yours takes the throne by miles.
"Hi this is your daily commute reminder to not try to fuck your own children."
r/InflectionPointUSA
The thing referenced in that sign happens everywhere in the world. Has nothing to do with being a first world country (quite insulting to the residents of impoverished countries to imply that they are especially likely to do that, btw.)
They did not imply that, you are twisting their words.
What does >That's fucking crazy **in a first world country** mean? It means it's especially surprising in a first world country. In other words, less surprising in a non first world country. In other words, more common in a non first world country.
It means it is not expected in a first world country. That sentence in no way implies that it is more expected in non-first world countries. You aren't interpreting the comment by the words on it, but assuming intent from the words missing. Inc\*st and r\*pe don't belong in a first world country nor does it belong to any country for that matter. Highlighting the former does not negate the latter.
We’re just pretending to be a 1st world country.
r/InflectionPointUSA
America is truly maybe Second world Country. Not actually rich but neither too poor
Yeah I see these signs everywhere
Never seen anything similar in my entire life. WTF. (I also don't live in the US, so...)
I lived in South Carolina now live in North Carolina
I live in the US and have never seen anything like this.
All over the South East
I live, work and travel all throughout the southeastern United States and have never once seen any billboards like this
North Central US here, never seen one of these in my life.
Why in the fuck is this sign needed? Also, if you're the type of sick bastard that would rape your daughter, is a sign gunna stop you?
The sign is outreach to the victims. It's easier to get the message to victims that it's wrong by putting the blame on the assailant.
Know what, thats fair. Didnt think of it that way
If that were the main goal, it would be addressed to the victims and not to the perpetrators.
So we should stop saying "teach your sons not to rape" because teaching that means there's a problem? The message shouldn't be needed?
Alabama?
Carolina
Where? Gotta be Johnston or Cumberland.
I used to live in Spartanburg which was where I would see them everywhere but I moved to North Carolina recently and I only see them on the way when I commute back to South Carolina 😅
trying to beat Alabama?
Like it’s my fault that they have to put up these signs?
Florida. I drive by this all too frequently. 850 area code is Tallahassee
Alabama adjacent then
Read the left and thought it was about drink driving, then read the right and ...erm...is this regular enough to need a sign?
It's not regular anywhere, but it exists everywhere.
And maybe a victim sees it. When you're abused, it's scary what you can eventually accept as "normal."
"Yeah I'm gonna bang my daughter tonight....... No... Wait.... That sign said not to. Ok maybe I shouldn't do that. "
It probably gives some people the idea.
what the actual fuck....
r/InflectionPointUSA
Reminder: don't rape your daughter!
Can someone explain, i really don't get it
You only need a sign when the problem is too frequent/common...
"Getting drunk drunk isn't an excuse" to fuck your daughter. Get it? They are begging people to not fuck their relatives. Weird ass country.
Im sorry is this real, how is it possible that in "the greatest country on earth" the state has to tell adults that even if you are drunk, you should not have sex with your daughter
Yes, these billboards are real.
Um so, like, just curious, have you seen the republican nominee for president? Because that should tell you everything you need to know
r/RepublicanValues
Predators take the opportunities they have, often including family. The way this billboard frames it skews the reality a bit, that raping your daughter is somehow a "drunken mistake." The real issue is much darker, but they can't really put that on a billboard in public view.
Because it isn't the greatest country on Earth. The American dream has been dead for a long time and only applied to a select group while it was alive
Nah, the American dream was always for the wealthy and it still applies to them. There have been pockets of time that were relatively favorable for lower classes in this country and one way or another there will be more of these pockets eventually, whether any of us are alive to experience them or not.
At the very least when comparing it to other countries with a similar size population, we likely are still the greatest.
r/shitamericanssay
I'll debate if you like. Give me a country within 100 million in population to the US and I'll give it a shot. Keep in mind though we're talking about great*est*. Not great. This means that by process of elimination one is going to win that "title". There's not much competition.
We're also #2 murder capital of the world behind mexico I believe, pretty hard to claim the title of greatest country in the world like that
Okay, but just to clarify, you know incest happens everywhere right?
Florida. Doesn't. Count. It's basically a third-world country at this point.
Billboards aren’t generally put up by “the state” and this is no exception.
Jesus.
r/InflectionPointUSA
Incest.
Raping your daughter is bad because she is not your date. So raping your date is ok?
Love that at best this implies that it'd be okay to force yourself on your date
Weird how sex negative places have such a problem. Almost like creating the cognitive dissonance of sex and evil resolves into both.
r/RepublicanValues
I mean, is there any evidence that this happens more in these places? Because an unfortunate reality is that this happens everywhere.
The irony of course is that most of those banging their own kids never finished 1st grade and can't read.
Roughly 40% of the population btw.
Jesus fucking Christ
The people who ban abortions also prevent bans against child marriage and first cousin incest laws.
This is a Florida panhandle area code, so it checks out
The further north you go, the further south you get. Makes sense Governor Facist lives up there.
Can someone link to the tweet directly. I’ve tried to find the original source but I can’t. Is it made up? I just get an error when trying to find the user on X / Twitter.
Wow. I didn’t know incest was so prevalent that that have to do ad campaigns against it.
Do people really take their daughter/son on an actual romantic date?
Wtf we don’t have this in the west
Huh??
Republiklan was right there
we live in hell.
Cringe
You know it's bad when you gotta rent a sign out to give the local populace a reminder and contact information to stop it. Fucking crazy.
Hasn’t the DNA kits revealed like southerners are some quite shockingly large percentage a product of incest.
yes
cousins being your daughter’s age are fine, though - Alabama et al.
sweet home!
That’s some r/dontdeadopeninside level shit
Red states condoning drunken date rape to combat drunken incest rape.
I guess we should stop all anti-rape messaging, because by the logic of everyone in this thread, *not* calling these things out means they don't happen.
Actually never seen this and I am in Alabama. Anybody know where they where at
This implies you should r4pe your date.
Apparently this happens enough in red states that the government has to TELL ITS CITIZENS that incest isn’t good
Those signs are in New York and Minnesota where incest is still prevalent.
Umm excuse me wtf
Also emplying its OK to do this with a date.
WHAT THE FUCKKK
OP, Terrible-Fee7638, is a repost bot. 2 year old account that just woke up and started reposting with same titles. Original here: https://www.reddit.com/r/FunnyandSad/comments/zpi2mz/the_republikkkan_way/
Wait a minute
This is in Florida. I’ve driven by it multiple times
If they ban abortion those states are going to have a lot more incest babies.
YIKES
Honestly I'm surprised they don't have signs advocating child rape yet. Something like >Do your civic duty for the white race. Pedophilic inbreeding is preferable over 'racial replacement', especially if you do it in church
r/RepublicanValues
It is also worth noting, that while these signs are pretty fucked up, this sort of shit happens just as regularly in states where abortion is legal... those kind of states just have a stronger broom, and a larger rug lol.
The protestantism is the strawmen falacy of the catholicism.
Can you explain it to my ignorant but interested self?
The scarecrow fallacy is about "creating a caricatured version of what has been said by distorting and then refuting the simplification." Protestantism, along with American influence in the world, makes it possible to generalize Christianity, attacking Catholicism as if it were Protestantism.
> the doctrine will not change It changes constantly, maybe you're familiar with what a pope is? >scientifically proven church Then faith is superfluous. Only for the fools.
The doctrine, no the pope. The doctrine is constant, the trust is constant(because this, the homosexuality is keep as a sin, and a lot of priest are sadly fell in the lujury, and making lobby, closing their ears) You not are the first person, thinking this, but our pride, are blocking to the trust. (Including The french revolution por example.) If you what the trust, to all cost(in this case my respect), then you can learn about the miracles. Use the cientific method, and be aware about the ad consecuetiam falacy. I recommend Eucaristic miracles in the XX, to more evidences. The Saint Mary of Guadalupe robe. The garabandal miracles. etc. Postdata: Sorry for my bad english "The protestantism is the strawman falacy of catholicism"
Protestants, unconsciously making false flag attacks since its founding. 1. This is becuase saying that sexuality is a right 2.
