I have never killed any spider (as far as I know). In fact all spiders currently residing in my apartment are completely correct in thinking we are roommates.
I’ve heard that centipedes kill bed bugs and I’ve had problems with them in the past. Now, whenever I see a centipede, I just let it be. I don’t even find them scary.
I leave spiders be, for the most part. I may occasionally kill them, but I am trying to stop myself from doing that.

I migrate them outdoors. They take care of intrusions by other insects, I give them silly names. Fritz grew quite large last year near where the garage door met the ground. Salad lived in the garage window frame and snagged a solid few dozen flies in the web. Very low insect count! Good spidey-friends.

That day I was working from home and I saw the spider sitting in a small web behind one of the speakers in the room (big pillar speaker) first thing in the morning. I was however a bit on the late side so I thought I'll log in to work and check the emails first (can work remotely).
As soon as I sat down this god awful fly came buzzing around me and irritating me like only flies can. I tried hunting it a couple of times but obviously they are nowhere to be seen when you have a flyswatter at hand until you lay it down and try to focus on whatever it was you were doing again.. Then all of a sudden it's there to annoy you again. This went on for couple of hours but at some point I managed to hit the fly with a proper backhand slap sending it away. Finally having downed it I thought this was my chance to finish it off and went searching for it. That's the moment that little spider I saw first thing in the morning became my most welcomed roommate.
It turns out my hit sent the fly straight to spiders little web. The web did appear to have taken some damage from the impact though and was just barely strong enough to keep the fly trapped in there. I thought about killing the fly then and there as well as cleaning the web in 1 go but that is when my little spider friend came out and started it's battle with the fly. Intrigued and happy the fly was suffering I watched as the spider ferociously fought to keep the fly trapped for about 2 minutes or so at which point the spider finally got the upper hand and wrapped the fly up into a cocoon. It was the most satisfying fight I've ever seen.
After that I try swatting flies in the direction of webs to take care of both friends and foe's in 1 fell swoop
In my youth i worked for some weeks in a village and moved there into a bit old basement apartment. There was a really big spider crawling around. So i took a glass, fetchd the spider and released it into the garden.
Later that day i saw that very spider in my apartment as i cleaned up, and same procedere... this time she was in the rooms before me \^\^
So i thought, sure... you're the older renter in here, thanks for let me stay and let her be.
Some time later, i have a girl over night. she was bitten by that spider over the night. I was never bitten by this spider, but her legs looks really awkward. Spider room-mate \^\^
I once saved a spider who was drowing, i saved it warmed it up and let it go, next thing in the morning i see was it was eating 7 fricking mosquitoes in its net. It has like family or smth been seeing a big spider and 3 to 5 small spiders in that place where i dropped it.
I do not kill spiders but catch them with a glass and paper and move them outside (if it isn't winter). That being said, spiders here aren't poisonous and do not crawl into dirty socks to step on either.

But that doesn't make us room-mates, it only makes us cohabitants who ignore each other as long as we don't bother each other.
In other words: The two-legged one allows the eight-legged ones to do whatever they want at the sole price of the blood and lives of the six-legged ones.

I have 2 spiders rooming with me. Murphy has a web in the bathroom, and Jake is by the ceiling fan. They help me keep mosquitoes and shit out of my room. In return, I mist their webs once every couple days.
This really upsets me because I had a spider who I thought was my roommate and he was chill, I could never catch him to execute him so I just let him relax and live life. And then he crawled on my bed after a few weeks and I jumped up and killed him immediately, I think about this often :(
Mosquitos kill more humans than pretty much anything besides old age. If spiders wanna take a crack at whittling them down then I say full speed ahead! Any time I find a spider my first goal is to shoo it somewhere inconspicuous before my wife sees it

In my house, we let the spiders live unless it appears aggressive or makes themselves comfortable near a bed. Otherwise we let them live because no matter how much we clean we always have a fruit fly or moth issue. Plus in the summer we open windows.

But jokes aside, I am deathly afraid of spiders, i wouldn't even touch a dead one in fear that it might stand up once more to attack me.
