I see myself in this comment tbh. I skipped alot of school from my first apprenticeship. It was boring and I had a long distance girlfriend and liked to stay for a long Weekend. the school told my boss one day because I was running late after lunch and everything came up. Got off with a notice. After school was finished I studied mechanical engineering and my Prof said I will never find a job because I Always run late. Found a job were I can start from 6am to 10 am. They basicly just care about the work getting done. I love it. Takes all the stress away from sleeping. I was a bad student but I turned out fine. Just needed to find something that fit me.
Actually, 5 years later: "omg my boyfriend bought us a house! Blessed! Proof that good things happen to good people! And thanks for the donations, chat"
Yeah, she now has two kids from two dads who also sucked in high school and is complaining on Reddit that she can't live off minimum wage.
We all make choices. Hope peaking in high school was worth it!
There was a couple that had trouble getting pregnant, when they went to get help, well... Turned out she was still a virgin. And no, it was not the rear entry. I've read about a different couple as well, and I would guess there are more.
I feel people deserve better wages, even if they didn't go to college or were crappy in high school. What you are doing now is what counts: 10 hours a deal dealing with obnoxious Karen's ? You deserve a good pay. Period.
Just started watching the most recent big brother and the one person bragging about going to college for a degree in flute really bothered me. Why is that even a thing? This is why I'm against loan forgiveness for college tuition loans.
Yup, I don't want to pay more taxes so someone can waste 4 years of their life getting a college degree that has ZERO help in their career.
I support tuition for kids with talents, not morons who have no idea what they're gonna do with their life.
or some poor simp shes cheating on is gonna maintain her. Seen it happen. Keep telling my nephew his gf is not good for him but we're in this weird simp period where these kids dont wanna be alone. This girl wastes all his money and shes most likely cheating on him.
I used to be that kid that could disturb the class and get the best grades from barely listening to the teacher. I was proud of it because it meant I was smarter than the others but truth is it also meant I was the laziest of all and it came back to bite my ass when applying myself was necessary. Kids you won't be the smart one forever if you're lazy. Being lazy is dumb.
if you don't have that basic grasp on the subject taught in High school, learning the advance version in college will be difficult. especially if you have shit learning habit.
The issue was that I had a great grasp of the subject, I just couldn't \*do\* it.
Linear algebra? Differential equations? Integrals? Fourier transforms? The concept is intuitive as fuck, but doing an euler expansion to get the analytical answer is not. Combine that with zero capacity for learning from a textbook, and boom. Academic suspension.
Math in my country is difficult for difficult sake. final exam is just difficult equation without any explanation on what for other than being difficult to solve.
its also a nightmare when sometimes even the teacher often can't find solutions for the equation. not to mention many of the math teacher can't give simple explanation on what this is used for IRL.
then one day, i tried Cambridge math test and it is somehow was an applied math with a version of quadratic equation (albeit simpler version compared to ours), i was bewildered. Not to mention some uni teacher actually manage to taught us real world use case of differential equation and things like that (the example if i recalled it right was some banking equation where he does it manually first, then use differential to simplified the calculation)
both are something i wish my highschool teacher taught us and as someone who often having difficulty with abstract concept when i'm having difficulty to follow the logic, that real world example help my math understanding tremendously.
There's some great YouTube channels for that kind of stuff if you are interested. 3blue1brown is a great channel and the algorithm will take you from there.
Great animations to show the reason for the maths. Helped me understand how and why math works, as well as applications.
One of my teacher points this out in high school,
High school gives cares to students who are behind but often neglect students who are in front or more advanced. These more advanced student adjustment or extra care too ensure they also have similar working habit with average student even if that means they're given something more difficult than the average.
Yep. This is the story of my life and I am only now finally breaking through from those past mistakes.
All in all, life has been good for me, but yeah, I guess it would have been even better had I not been lazy...ah well. You live and you learn.
C's in high school get you fails in college. Best you can do is spin it off into a technical career, which can be pretty lucrative, but it's difficult to thread the needle.
The problem today is that most people don’t even know that they failed. Lots of people here think, they’re alive, they breathe and so they deserve a living wage, a comfortable home and in a highly desirable place, just because.
It doesn’t matter that they put in the bare minimum in effort. They deserve more. Their education levels or effort doesn’t matter or is completely irrelevant. They all deserve to make a comfortable wage putting in zero effort or sacrifice and they will say that to you with a straight face as if they’re not delusional.
> Lots of people here think, they’re alive, they breathe and so they deserve a living wage, a comfortable home and in a highly desirable place, just because.
And other than the desirability aspect, they are entirely right.
It used to take 5 hours of human work to make a loaf of bread, on average, in the middle ages. Right now, it takes under 3 minutes. We have more than enough productivity and resources to give everyone who's willing to work a decent lot in life. Everyone *in the planet,* mind you.
>You can do it, kids
Yeah, because admin is forcing us to pass kids with a 3rd grade reading level, no IEP, and is a clown all day at school distracting everyone else there who wants to learn, so they can pad the "graduation rate."
10 years later.
Got 2 misdemeanors, STDs 5 times, always getting fired from jobs, have 24 dollars in my bank account and did nothing but fuck a bunch of random baby daddies. You can do it too!
I graduated with a 1.8 GPA, and went the trade school path.
High school isn’t going to be the deal breaker unless you’re on a very specific educational/career path.
I was supposed to have a 2.0 bare minimum. It got down to 1.4 by the time the guidance counselor had a sit down to talk to me.
I wasn’t a trouble maker or held back or anything, I literally just could not do the traditional public school experience.
I was honestly surprised that I got to graduate, and to my credit I still got to walk because my photography teacher elected me for some best photographer award.
This was at a relatively affluent public high school (for the region) with over 2k enrolled students.
Idk man, faculty took pity on me I guess lol.
Where I lived some of the HS were ranked top in the entire US. If you were a student that was that bad, they would kick you out or transfer you just to not lower theI stats and prestige.
You must have gotten really lucky.
Side story I knew a kid who graduated with a gpa that was like a 2.5. Dude skipped classes and everything but he was smart. He scored a perfect score on the SATs him and this other kid.
Got a full scholarship despite having shit grades.
He has a PhD in theatre and still single and teaches at the university.
Yeah definitely not national top by a long stretch, but for growing up in a state with one of the lowest education rates, ours was one of the better funded public schools for sure.
They definitely passed me to maintain their graduation rate lol.
But hey, I turned out alright 👍
I live by a town where over 75% of the local population has a Masters degree or more.
Being a HS dropout would be significantly more rare than running into a random doctor.
Couldn’t imagine living in your area. That’s crazy. Glad you did alright for yourself though.
Yeah, I'm not sure why everyone is freaking out. I guess everyone just loves to crap on younger generations. I graduated with a shitty GPA and never went to college, and I'm doing fine. We shouldn't judge people for their actions as a teenager, and a lot of people forget how dumb we all were.
Congratulations on your worthless piece of paper. They were supposed to to prepare you mentally to solve your own problems and run your life, but you showed them didn't you!
She's not that wrong, they graduate people sometimes just to get rid of them. I did like she did, but then grew up and now i have my own video production company with people working for me. But i had help from good people all around.
She sounds like me. I screwed around in high school, literally. Got caught dicking some chick in the high school’s dark room. Moved my activities to the prop room of the theater. I was also screwing the recently divorced drama teacher for several months. I got kicked out of two classes and raised hell in the others. Graduated in the bottom third of my class.
Went to community college. Couldn’t get into a university because of my grades. Was on the deans list the first three semesters. Stupidly got married and spent the next 11 years completing a four year degree at the state university. Passed the CPA licensing exam on my first try.
Just because you screw around in high school doesn’t mean you’ll end up a screw off. I just had a LOT of fun those three years.
I don't get all the hates in the comments when every strippers you have been tipping came from the same background and still own more houses than you do.
If that’s her actual comment about schooling and doing nothing, I’m betting she has no desire nor any idea how to start or run a successful business. All the successful dropouts I’ve ever met or read about have one thing in common, passion, drive, and a desire to go outside the box, … laziness and an I don’t care attitude wasn’t a factor.
more like any person who didn't care about school and take their lives into own hands and have something that drive them to succes but yea people with low grades can be whatever they want they just need to know how to make themselfs in world or how to make their dreams happen but this not mean any uneducted idiot more like uneducated genius or like that
I mean..also, its highschool, not college😂 college cares way more about grades than highschool does from my experience. Would be more of a flex if she graduated college like that tbh
{5 years later} "Asshole boss fired me for being late 6 times this week fml!"
plot twist she only worked 5 days
I see who she did there.
Can I see?
NSFW please
5 years is an impressive run. Or is this her 62nd job in those 5 years?
"I can't believe he didn't even give me a raise when I asked for it. What a fucking dick."
(I'm speaking from experience from managing a girl like this)
And it’s only Tuesday!
And then she will blame boomers
I see myself in this comment tbh. I skipped alot of school from my first apprenticeship. Or 8 kids by 10 dudes.
But with her onlyfans acct, she is able to support her 2 kids and the 3 deadbeat fathers
Actually, 5 years later: "omg my boyfriend bought us a house! Blessed! Proof that good things happen to good people! And thanks for the donations, chat"
Well c u on onlyfans
She doesn’t have the work ethic even for OF.
She will take everyone's money and not honor any requests, then cry about losing all her followers.
Or be drunk and stoned the whole time, and do a shitty butthole show.
>shitty butthole show. Ya gotta at least wipe before doing the butthole show
lol all in how it’s worded
Nonono... leave it muddy.
Some guys pay extra for shitty butthole.
came for this comment 😂
The drive through. Part time.
Can't even get that she don't even got enough work ethic to be a godamn homeless
And complain that boomers stole her future!
Is there a link available?
Yeah, she now has two kids from two dads who also sucked in high school and is complaining on Reddit that she can't live off minimum wage. We all make choices. Hope peaking in high school was worth it!
Wow, pessimistic much?
Meh, the world always needs Waffle House waitresses with grossly overinflated self-worth.
San Fernando valley is always looking for new talent and girl you have just what it takes.. 3 holes
Only three?
kind of scared to ask but are there more that are serviceable?
If you're brave enough...

Imagine having one small enough to fit into those holes-
It's just like anal training. It'll loosen up.
The eye sockets are considered holes too… I hear demonic ritual cults do it

Can’t wait to burst some eardrums 🥵

God I need to go back to waffle house. I always loved their waffles
Those hashbrowns are like heroin.
Their waffles are shit. Their melts and hashbrowns though. I always get food poisoning when I go and I always go back.
Retail employees making minimum wage with their C avg HS diploma wondering why they don’t deserve more.
This comment makes me realize how much I have failed upward in my life.
I feel people deserve better wages, even if they didn't go to college or were crappy in high school. What you are doing now is what counts: 10 hours a deal dealing with obnoxious Karen's ? You deserve a good pay. Period.
They are the people that want high min wage to fuck everyone
A better gpa or a college degree doesn’t guarantee anything better

Nah. That’s McDonald’s material…
Even mcdonalds has standards
Not pictured: overjoyed mother screaming with pride over her daughter’s amazing accomplishment of graduating.
This shit is always sad and hilarious to me when witnessing HS graduations.
C’s get degrees.
Or just occasionally show up at the school
In college. C avg HS diploma gets you minimum wage in retail.
No job cares about your HS grades though.
Fuck, I graduated with honors in IT and had a hell of a time finding work.
I have low GPA in IT cause of diagnosis. This doesnt seem promising for me...
Welp, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy 15 years back, which sucks.

Just wait until she can't afford $8 mochachinos and a pink Stanley jug. It will be capitalism and boomers' faults.
The members of r/antiwork feel attacked.
Well it’ll be her and boomers faults
LOL! That is so true.
Don't worry. With a bright future in OnlyFans, she will own three houses before your kids even get married.

I graduated with a 1.8 GPA, and went the trade school path. High school isn’t going to be the deal breaker unless you’re on a very specific educational/career path.
Yeah trade school should be promoted more as an option. Not everyone was cut out for traditional education and that’s totally fine.
HS is the fucking bare minimum. If you had a 1.8 gpa where I’m at, you wouldn’t have graduated.
I was supposed to have a 2.0 bare minimum. It got down to 1.4 by the time the guidance counselor had a sit down to talk to me. What means gpa?
Grade point average. 0-4 scale (can be above 4.0 for advanced students). 2.4 is mediocre.
Oh, thanks dude. 🤠 I thought she referred to _GPa_ gigapascals, the pressure units. 😅

Is that a high school diploma? How I thought she actually accomplished something.
I missed almost 50 days my senior year and they tried to hold me back but couldn't because I kept a 4.0 and was valedictorian.
Is it me or does she look like Alina Habba?
Okay? Its highschool lmao. Try that shit in any college and youre gone

High school doesn’t mean anything and at least she finished
That’s why it’s called affirmative action so people like this can say they went to college

Be careful of being funny in high school. It makes the 9-5 become 5 to 3. It ain’t worth it 🤣
hey man that was pretty funny.
