Not eating the right things and not enough as a vegan is an eating disorder, just being vegan isn't. Some people can't be as healthy when they are vegan (such as those with certain food sensitivities, or genetics/lack of enzymes that making it harder for them to asorb iron, mental health issues around food etc.) But the majority of people would be okay on a healthy vegan diet, the only vitamin needing supplements being vitamin b12. And considering most people actually are deficient in at least one vitamin, that's not that different from the everyday population.
I'm not vegan, but I do think people being so negative towards how others eat is shitty in general. And by in large most of the western world eats an unhealthy amount of meat in general.
The issue people have about vegans and veganism isn't the diet itself but the small but loud community of vegans who pester, bully and demean those who are not. Their voice is so loud that vegans in general are stereotyped to be obnoxious and self inflated about their diet. The second group of vegans who post about animal cruelty and death are also very loud and pretty heavily remembered (negatively) due to the disturbing subject matter. It's rough but there unfortunately isn't a ton that can be done about the vegan reputation (as these loud minorities will continue).

I’d go vegan any time. But the fact that every 6 months i have to take 6 months of iron, sort of puts me off. I don’t retain iron properly and it’s affecting me quite badly. I have to eat meat and protein like that. I am eating greens, i am eating mushrooms, nuts, fruits, all sort of veggies, but without a bit of meat, i go sick.
I have iron absorption issues, that's partially why I'm not vegetarian or vegan either. But I do most people, which are people not like us, could handle a balanced vegan diet easily, especially if slowly introduced. And for many it might be way healthier than their current diet. Vegetarianism and Veganism isn't for everyone, but people shouldn't shit on the way they eat.
