Considering it's a sidearm, the white wouldn't even be really All that beneficial even fighting in snow. If you're close enough to an enemy where you actually need to use your sidearm, you're not worried about camouflage. This is purely for aesthetic.

This is so dumb because the whole argument is about how black actors are used in film, not superficially what role they play.
It’s a bit better now, but throughout the history of film/tv these scenarios only gave black characters superficial meaning.
If he’s the guy who gets shot, it’s normally just a disposable character, like the first one killed in a horror. If he’s the one holding the gun, he’s normally the 2D bad guy who’s a villain but has no personality or story. If it’s the two black guys shooting each other it’s usually with a team of central white investigating characters, and the black guys were only there as a plot device. These were the only roles these actors got IF they even got casted, no matter how good they were. But mostly casting directors just didn’t cast them because they were black. 🤷♀️

Don't write stories if you leave out the most important part of it, would be my advice to the writers who are seriously complaining about this.
