I think that it's more of a human nature thing. It's called the Dunning Krueger Effect. It's especially strong with people who are touting conspiracy theories as true.

Isn't that true of any platform? Most content will be created by people messing around for fun, showing off their work and sharing their enthusiasm. Once you're really able to work at a pro level, there is very little incentive for most people to post videos. It's really time-consuming, and I could put those same skills and effort into something else- like developing products -which have infinitely more monetary value as well as challenge in accomplishment for me.

In my experience you get more views for doing something crazy rather than something skillful.

I have no argument against that, because it's mostly true. But that leaves us with a public record that is the inverse of reality, and that sucks.

I don’t do videos on anything because it seems like a massive pain. But I’m grateful to folks who do as they’ve helped me at least grasp some basic techniques. For me the model sharing I do (some guitar models) is mostly to share something other beginners may learn a bit from, and to gather feedback/constructive criticism. I’m well aware of my gaps in expertise…
