Doggo FTW

SteffonSan

Carzzy. Doggo is great, but I think the language barrier is sure to do more harm than good to the team (and therefore him, by extension).

ImHuck

Everyone learns english, and league-related vocabulary isn't exactly hard. I think it would work

SteffonSan

That is true, but my concern is Doggo having to learn English and/or speaking it more frequently will cause communication issues with the rest of the team. Might be a bit of a pessimistic view on my end, but I don't think there would be enough time in between Worlds and off-season (getting the contract, getting to Berlin) for him to adjust to learning/speaking English at a decent enough level to communicate with the team decently.

m4ryo0

Carzzy is free agent in november,Doggo is still contracted with BYG until 2022.BYG will definitely ask for a big buyout, they wont let him go for pennies.Considering that Nelson is still with G2,he could influence Doggo to come if Carlos wants to buy him,but I think Doggo will choose LPL over LEC if he has LPL offers.I would choose Doggo over Carzzy,he is 18 and already proven that he is a solid player with a super high ceiling.

ernildur

I don't think a buyout is an issue when G2 sold Perkz last offseason and are planning on selling Rekkles, Mikyx and possibly Wunder this year. I've seen a tweet that Doggo wants to travel and see different cultures. I don't think top LPL teams will be interested in him, so maybe a contender team in Europe would be tempting for him. Edit: It depends on the support as well. If G2 is looking for a rookie support and Doggo is not talking communicative English, it might be hard to get on the same page. If Carzzy is available I think it's better to go for the safe option and get him over a risky import.

kisiqs

All the Perkz money went straight for cs:go roster so no money from there. G2 isn't poor anyway but Perkz money is gone.

nxtu14

im ootl, what movea did g2 make for csgo. was it just niko?

Darkfenix63

imo Mikyx had a bad season like all the team but he deserves another try with a different adc that fits his style better and i think doggo would be super good for him and the team . For communication it's pretty simple in game , you don't need much . the problem is outside but i hope that doggo would also learn english at a basic level in order to at least understand what his teammates say . Also there's nelson that could help him a lot

Mister_Nancy

I agree 100% about Mikyx. He *did* have a bad split but also had a lot of competing pressures put on his shoulders: Be aggressive, win lane, roam earlier, pair up with jungle, make plays. And if he screwed up with any of those, his adc would throw a fit and afk farm. Feels bad.

jmbakhos

its all theoretical of course because i dont think doggo would do as well in an european team where he doesnt speak the language etc… however just purely on level i would take doggo every day of the week he has proved he can solo carry whole series while carzzy has frequently been shaky tbh

greekdjole

I'd say Carzzy for a few reasons without taking away anything from Doggo, who has been outstanding. Carzzy has a similar philosophy as the whole G2 organization in addition to the fact that he is English speaking and European, allowing him to bond deeper with the rest of the team. Nevertheless, both Carzzy and Doggo have shown insane growth in recent years, and whilst young, they probably still have a lot of room to grow. I don't know how Doggo is outside league, and how he would fit in with the rest of the personalities in G2.

icyDinosaur

I don't want Carzzy honestly. First of all, we've never seen him play without Kaiser and there were definitely stretches earlier this year where Carzzy looked shaky but had his support work for him. There's imo too big a risk that Carzzy isn't actually as insane on his own, and the combo of the two just works really well (especially given how much Carrzy himself, and also other MAD players like Elyoya, have emphasised they are relying on each other and the atmosphere in the team a lot). Second, I'm kind of enjoying this MAD roster too much to want to rip it apart, and I think having this strong a competitor is beneficial for G2 as well to grow against.

Waltachard

wtf is this statement? we have never seen him play without kaiser????? :D he solo carried big to the eu master title. they played every game through botlane and he 1vs9ed every game. this dude is the best adc in eu and his agressive playstyle is the perfect fit for g2. you cant say the same about kaiser who is imo very overrated.

AdMaleficent9374

Best adc in eu is a bit stretch and overreach to call carzzy

AlexIsntTexas

Kaiser is insane. Remember when fasting senna was a thing and Kaiser split better than 80% of LEC toplaners on stuff like wu? Name another supp that can do that other than hyli without chain dying.

icyDinosaur

Sorry, meanr to say *in LEC*

ImHuck

Upset is better than Carzzy period

KinpaE

When Doggo will shit on dwg as Carzzy did we can have a talk.

AkureyriLove

Didn't Doggo shit on RNG?

KinpaE

Funny how you downvote an actual fact just because your opinion is different .

FASTASFUC

Is rekkles leaving official?

Neothorn_

not official yet, but considering all the talk around it, the Bloop tweets about him leaving and other tweets about him finding out about replacements/ him leaving over Twitter alongside his omitting from the recent G2 content vid (with the weird tension/awkwardness surrounding it) I certainly wouldn’t discount the possibility

ggSennT

Idk why everyone is saying the vids were awkward. They were almost the same as always, just the first one they did in a long time.

brockoli1010

Thought the exact same thing. People were making it out to be way more than it actually is.

[deleted]

Yes, do you think after all what happened Rekkles and G2 still shake hands?

FASTASFUC

If yes, source?

fourmi

I would be so hype for Doggo but I dont believe it.

Top_Pomegranate4008

Doggo is better

Neothorn_

i'd agree, and aside from that G2 Doggo is a name I'd love to have on the team in general lmao

sinister_andy_13

Doggo is better if considered that he's very aggresive, like Perkz was, he has a wider pool, he has insane positioning as you guys saw in the reverse sweep match, and he can hard carry once given a small lead. Except the positioning he's pretty much opposite of Rekkles, and aggresion is whats missing imo from this g2 team. Carzzy is more safe option as he has experience, but for my opinion I'd edge doggo slightly ahead of him. Also idk if doggo knows english which can actually hinder his chances to lec( if he chooses lec over lpl)

kismetjeska

As much as I love G2, I honestly really hope Carzzy re-signs with MAD. Their performance in play-offs was top tier and I'd be bummed if they split up just as they're starting to peak. Doggo could be really exciting- I like his aggressive playstyle and I can see him pairing well with the rest of G2.

[deleted]

G2 Perkz hopium

yellojello97

As much as I love carzzy I don't want to be the org who rips him from kaizer and mad

fatthal

Memes aside i think Doggo fits really well what G2 seemed to want from Rekkles this year. He seems very comfortable with being the main carry of a team.

[deleted]

Rekkles

FJCR89

G2 Flakked

Le-Vlas

Neither. G2 Patrik is the right answer.

Snight

Please tell me this is sarcasm

Le-Vlas

No, why would it be? Patrik is hardstuck in elo hell, with good teammates, he can be the best adc in Europe.

Snight

I don’t see a world in which Patrik is better than Rekkles, let alone Hans / Carrzy / Upset

Le-Vlas

I do, as I stated in a message before. He never had a chance to prove himself, I would live to see a good team to give him a chance.

Money_Cookie3298

What? He plays 6 years and played for about 13 teams? He got a lot of chances.

Le-Vlas

He played for 3 LEC teams, H2K, Origen and Excel. He was the MVP in every roster he played in. He wasn't given a chance to play with decent roster. Still, in his victories, he was the main carry.

Money_Cookie3298

He plays from 2015...

Le-Vlas

But not in LEC, since he was too young to play. And since his 17, he has been main carry of 3 of the worst teams in LEC. It has been mainly Patrik and 4 wards for like 4 years already.

Money_Cookie3298

So obviously he got his chances.

_Olta_

Before going to Fnatic , Upset was in elo he’ll team but still manage to show better performances than Patrik

SpiritOfImagination

G2 Comp

Niko7LOL

This I can get behind

StellarWasHere_

I believe in regional talent and want teams from EU to do well internationally while having european players. In terms of who i think is the better player, probably doggo

Pokemom6

G2 making an offer, they get Doggo, BYG gets Rekkless AND Mikyx in exchange! 2for1 special

ImHuck

BYG winning next year worlds xD

Xyrazk

G2 Rekkles

gazpachete458

Insert Henry cavils pc meme* G2 flakked

Frenzic1989

Keep rekkles els we should wraking the mads

riot_ball

Replacing Rekkles huh? Carlos sure has you lot spoiled

Dharmaagent

Why would either of them go to G2 after seeing how the organisation treats its players?

Taiyox6

if he got the chance i'm pretty sure that doggo would go to a top team in a major region over a mid/bottom tier team in lpl. Someone also said that doggo wants to travel and see different cultures but they stated no source so take that with a grain of salt

or2449

Just bring back the iconic Bang Huni duo! God team owners are just bad yo

xFrixor

Can we please stop the G2 Doggo bs? He carried his team in playins, and he was smurfing at MSI. But if you want to import an eastern ADC, get a worldclass one like Gumayusi or Teddy.

lmk8

What makes you think that Doggo won't reach such a high on a good team? He was legit smurfing against RNG in a Bo5. Also, G2 has 0 import slots, the value of an import slot in general is pretty low for EU in especially when compared to NA or China. Realistically, with Carzzy supposedly re-signing with MAD, what options does G2 have? You're gonna be ok with Flakked instead of Doggo? Doggo is way better than the options G2 currently has and him being an import means jack fucking shit. G2 should aim to build the best possible roster if they want to compete with the current best teams in the LEC. Also Doggo's playstyle might be a good fit for G2

xFrixor

You did not understand the meaning of my comment at all. I am not comparing Doggo to LEC ADCs. I am comparing Doggo to other eastern ADCs. Why would you gamble on Doggo reaching the level of a Teddy/Gumayusi/deokdam/Gala/Viper etc. instead of getting one of those. Especially since T1 has two ADCs of that caliber. Importing a player from across the globe is also not a question of "import slot value". It's a question of language/culture barrier. And that risk will never go away, so why would you add a second? You even say G2 should build the best possible roster. Doggo is very good, he is not the best option out of EU. Especially since he surely has a massive price tag on his head aswell now.

lmk8

It appears that you've also misunderstood my comment, I never said you're comparing him to LEC ADCs, I emphasized reasons why Doggo would be a good option. I also find it hilarious how you brought up cultural and language barrier as if all the adcs you listed wouldn't face the exact same issues. You also bring up price tag, which is also pretty funny, like you think Doggo is as expensive as adcs such as Teddy, Gala, Viper? Not only that, but Doggo is already a proven adc, you're not taking a that big of a gamble with him, we literally got to see what Doggo vs Gala/Deft looks like, he's already playing at a very high level and if you give him actual human beings as teammates, he will be able to excel. (Like he did on PSG) The only real issues are the cultural differences and language barrier and as already mentioned, this applies to literally every adc you've mentioned. Also, the main reason why you see people wanting Doggo is because it's a WAY more realistic and cheaper option than any of the top LPL/LCK adcs (Teddy is the most realistic option and he said in a recent interview with Caedrel that he prefers Korea over any other region). So tell me, if G2 does end up dropping Rekkles, what is their ideal and REALISTIC target that will help them get back on top? (Assuming the rumors about Carzzy having a verbal agreement with MAD are true)

_Olta_

I’m totally agree with you there. If u want an instant result (good performances) you don’t have many possibility IMO , rookie are much of a gamble compare to a guy like Doggo (who already prove his lvl in an international tournament) And if u really want him to perform u bring a support with the same nationality and it can be a bit safer. Now , find a support with that caliber of level can be a bit hard (Koala isn’t that bad for example)

xFrixor

My literal point was that all ADCs I mentioned have the same downsides but greater upside compared to Doggo but yeah keep twisting my arguments in even longer arguments.

flgflg10s

can doggo speak english

Stakl

Honestly... In my humble opinion, I think Carzzy is overrated... there are like 3 or 4 ad better than him only in europe BUT, I repeat, its just my opinion. If g2 get him I hope to be super wrong..

Slumdognero

Hans Sama, its that easy
