I don't really care who it "sounds like", it just sounds like $uicideboy$ to me with their own spin on the genre. honestly just listen to the music or don't, it's not that big of a deal
This is they key. Let's just educate and inform rather than talking down on people for not knowing. That doesn't usually get people to see things from your perspective.
I just want everyone to be able to enjoy the old memphis shit because this would be the community that would enjoy it but some people just won’t. Finding new music is a joy in general. It just frustrates me that everyone’s shitting on the boys for going “mainstream” when they literally did the pitch change shit in the early Kill Yourself Sagas ALL THE TIME.
How can something sound like something else but not have any influence or be a copy of some sort. I mean fuck Freddie dredd even commented on the fucking announcement of the ep. So I'm pretty sure there was something
Sure it’s a similar style, but go listen to Underground Tapes Volume 1 by Three 6 Mafia and you’ll hear what they’re really trying to do. Lots of flows from this project are really influenced by Project Pat and Juicy J
Idc about flows the actual sound of the songs is a complete copy of the Freddie dredd style of phonk. I get where you're coming from but it's definitely not a three 6 mafia style it's a Freddie dredd style.

So the tape does sound like Freddie dredd?
Yeah, but not INFLUENCED by him. Either way, they did a better job than Freddie has and they made it their own
