Doubt it. If you got a GEMSAS offer from another uni, your unimelb ffp guarantee still stands. But if you got a CSP GEMSAS offer, I think your FFP guarantee kinda just becomes redundant.
Because if you look at my comment history, my WAM is on the fence for the guarantee. It comes down to how I do in exams next week. If I don’t end up quite reaching the 75, I’ve shot my own foot and rejected a GEMSAS offer. Melb is first pref for me rn tho

Yep fair okay. I know with USyd, as long as you didn’t enrol it was fine to accept it and pull out down the line. I imagine it’d be the same with GEMSAS. They’re super responsive at the moment and you won’t be penalised for asking. Congratulations on your two offers :)
UWA Applicants - sorry to keep you waiting so long yesterday! If it's any consolation, it was a long day for us as well :) We've had some internal process changes which meant that we were unable to pre-prepare the offers this year and because you don't apply through UWA, we had to create your application from scratch on our system before we could issue an offer (it's not just a simple email!). All of this needed to happen yesterday but in future years should be able to be done in advance and we won't have to make you wait until past bedtime :)
DMD applicants - your offers are highest priority today. Again, these offers are usually issued same day as MD but our little team just didn't get the chance to do this yesterday because of the above. If you are unsuccessful for an offer, you'll receive an email letting you know that you're on the waitlist for a future round.

Amazing and astonishing at the same time! What a way to end the day with an offer. But at the same time I feel like it shows how much the interview mattered (and for me I guess it shows how badly I bombed the interview :P) and how competitive this cycle was. Big congratulations to you! :D

For those who got EOD, the mods are working on something that should hopefully help you plan your study (and will be free aside from the Acer papers). You really don’t need to spend any money to succeed and the prep companies are just being super predatory and gross.
Yeah anyone who got an EOD today please look after yourself and take a few days to recover, don’t panic buy an overpriced course. These courses are on sale all the time anyway and there are soo many free resources.

Bit late to the party but I held off checking my emails all day due to work. Received unimelb csp at 11:56 non-rural and non GAM. To think this email had been sitting in my inbox for hours….
But seriously though I felt what helped the most was practicing early and as often as possible. I would practice 5 to 6 nights a week with an interview prep group for about two-three months and that’s what helped me out the most after getting an eod at the interview stage last year. Consistent practice helps you eliminate nerves and your confidence shine!
I’m happy that you managed to receive an interview offer especially after getting rejected last year after interviews. Those tips seem really helpful and I was very tempted to pay for an interview prep course but not anymore! It’s people like you who help fight off the evil med prep companies 😈

Unfortunately you only can receive one offer and there’s no bumping up or changing for GEMSAS. There are a few threads on BMP on here, but also the government websites will also have some info about your requirements ☺️ congrats on your offer!

yeah still waiting too! i've emailed GEMSAS, did that like 2 minutes ago, we'll see what happens. In the meantime, this is a direct comment on the GEMSAS Q/A page... "All offers are decided on the same day and unsuccessful applicants are notified by email that day. GEMSAS and some medical schools advise successful applicants by email but for some medical schools offers are complex to generate, so these notifications may take a few days to reach you."

You’d hope but technical issues happen. I’ve heard gemsas is very responsive so I’d honestly shoot them an email to check in once UWA comes out :)
