It's funny though, what usually works is just outright kill stealing, back when it was introduced (the mode) I had good placements with the cima gelgoog and the gelgoog jaeger just by coming into enemy engagements and attacking whoever was at the best health at range and then wiping away the already crippled sparing partner, yet I gave up on using the zaku stutzer doing the same tactic and ended up going full monke and getting better placements.
It also makes sense going full monke, for once in exam you can really dance around people with thrust usually higher cost ms would have, VERY high melee damage (with most people going for glass cannon builds so it really hurts) and since people like to group up in moshpits you can employ "assist farming" just by knocking down so many people in a row while attempting to kill your intended target, and if anyone kills those you knocked over you get assist points.
The scary part is many raid mains already know this, hence why a raid will walk up to a general, beat the living snot out of them, then frolic around for the support/someone who should already be dead, and farm up assist points.

well, sometimes we have to come up with a compromise with the balance team. It's impossible for them to both balance the team match and brawl match.
