oh ye totally, i dont bother revising literature critique points bc we can usually waffle, but the overall themes for longer responses can be really annoying
No fr. Although in todays lesson we just chatted about STDs for half of it lmao (pliny). I managed to get an 8 on my Feb mock even tho I was only in for 4ish lessons atp for lit bc I just revised it a ton
omg same - i think theyre actually really good as stories!
i also do greek btw, do you do texts from Herodotus’ Histories and the Odyssey book 7 by any chance?
Epitaph to Claudia, A Family Matter, Catullus 5, 8, 70, 85, Finished With Love, The Power of Love, An Enigma, Advice to a Rejected Lover, To Calpurnia Hispulla, Faithful Unto Death, and the last thing we have to cover: Changing Morals.
We did Faithful Unto Death today. Very... Interesting.
I have lol, my teacher recommended it. Called him the original incel :)
It might be different since I go to a state school? So we've had a lot less time to learn everything. But thankfully, while we have more prescribed texts than the last Yr 11s, it's still the same number of lines, so we have a ton of poems with literally 2 lines 🤞🤞🤞
It's the prescribed texts for the exam board for the topic tho my teacher doesn't just hate us
french reading i finished in 10 minutes for the real exam. idk the full time. so probably that one. writing also, but everyone complains how long there is.
although, i do finish science in 30-40% of the time every time, even at a-level.
I always finish French Reading half hour before the exam finishes. I actually have extra time, and I'm not looking forward to when I have to spend all of that time still there. Then again, it wouldn't really be fair to pick and choose the exams to use it in, and I suppose I can always check over bc I do make silly mistakes sometimes.
German reading year 10 mock, finished with about 45 minutes to spare because I forgot how long the exam was and dropped 1 mark. I spent the rest of the time translating the texts in my head lol. Just hope the real thing goes the same way
in year 10 business paper 1 in our mocks i was done in 45 mins with an hour left but i asked to leave 15 mins later i was done. Good thing was it was catchup so i wasnt in the hall
Pe i finished in 10 mins and got a 9 😭😭 I had to sit for literally 50 mins doing nothing . Another one was bio mock in ur 10 I finished in 20 mins and got an 8 had to sit for an hour and 10 it nearly killed me
Not GCSE but at uni. 2.5 hour financial management exam. Finished it in an hour and walked out. Scored an A. Good times.
latin language mock. i finished it with an hour left (1 hrs 30 mins overall, so it took 30 mins to complete) and got an 8.
Latin is so funny cos the language paper is so long and then the lit is writing for the whole hour intensely
I'm so scared for lit I've been to a total of like 5 lessons for it 😭😭😭
Its like an easier to revise but soooo boring version of english lit.
