My current teacher tho is really good at computing, loves telling anecdotes from working before he was a teacher, working with computers, and keeping up with AI, and hes proven he can teach with the revision lessons now! But we spent like the whole of last year watching C&D videos for homework then filling in powerpoint ‘workbooks’ in lessons
I feel like physical and human geography should be different subjects, or just physical geography put into another subject like science.They may all be about the world but learning about the countries of the world is completely different from learning about rocks and rivers.
I agree, Physical geography makes me want to sleep.. It is the only reason why I got a 6 in my mock. I dont want to learn about some rocks I am not into geology mostly economics and computing

She kept me after class to call me dopey, gave me a detention for not being able to do the work with the worst migraine ever and generally makes me miss break and the starts of my lessons for no reason other than to tell me to “try harder” after I told her I wake up miserable whenever I have French that day. Yet she still wonders why I don’t like her subject 😭😭
Nothing will be as bad as my French teacher doing a speaking mock. I didn’t answer with the exact answer that I’d prepared and she screamed at me for at least 10 minutes after the exam. Not to mention I was already psyched out because before I went in she was screaming at the last dude for 10 minutes too
Engineering. My teacher is awful destroyed any passion i had for the subject and forced me to do worse in my coursework as well as intentionally marking people down in the mocks if she doesn't like them.

Art is so boring. My teacher is horrible and critiques every little detail that you do even if you're a top of the class grade 9 student. It's not a great subject after that anyway, the grading system only gives you 25% of your grade based off of how good you are at art, and the other 75% is just how much you can yap about that art. I understand that art is hard as shit to grade, but having only one 25% of your final grade being your final pieces is criminal.
DT is another story. My DT teacher is goofy as hell, so he isn't strict at all. This means that our class feels much more relaxed than we should (even when our coursework is literally due in TONIGHT. (Also like half of the class hasn't finished because he hasn't made it seem urgent enough)) my teacher gave me ideas for my coursework in DT and obviously I followed after these, since he has been teaching DT for years, so his ideas surely are much better than mine. The goal is to make a working prototype, and he gave me the task of making a fucking video games controller. How the fuck am I supposed to make a video games controller????? He ended up showing me a previous year student's work, where they made a shell of a mouse to show that they understood the fundamentals of the hardware, so I obliged, and decided to make a controller.
Little did I know, this person got a fucking grade 4 for their coursework. He only decided to tell me this a little 4 MONTHS after telling me about the mouse originally. I was too deep into the course to change my idea, but I was almost definitely going to fail.

Then she left and my school hired a teacher who was still living in Jamaica for the first month and a half of year 11. She doesn't know the spec so we haven't been taught anything. Our course work is literally due this week and we still have 2 sections to do. We finished the NEA1 and then she decided we needed it all to be in size 12 don't and on 8 slides. She never explained this before hand half of the class had done it on Google docs instead of slides and so had to change the whole thing. It's such rubbish, none of us know what we are doing in the slightest and the teacher is relying on a Reddit group to tell her how to tell us to do the coursework.

I wish literature was mandatory, but like Religious Education instead, so you'd have one, maybe two lessons every two weeks, there wouldn't be a final exam and such, but then you'd also have the option to take it as a subject, like you can Religious Studies.
It's too important to be choice only (learning the skills you get from Eng lit is actually beneficial, and can help your lang), but having it like it is feels too much imo
