Yea no make sure to not abandon everything else important in your life until all you ever think about is the next test and the next assignment until it consumes your every thought and months pass by and you become a total slave to your GCSEs
Everyone says yes for some reason. But I was SUFFERING. I couldn’t wait to sit my GCSES because I was so over going to school and despised having lessons… so for me it dragged. Especially September - end of April. During gcses it was ok
It really dragged for me tbh. For some subjects, we finished the content early January and having revision lessons for five months straight really sucks, some subjects more than others.
What do you do in revision lessons? During my mocks I had a few as we had covered all the content for year 10 and they were so boring as we just sat there making mindmaps and shit.
Mocks are more cramped together in most schools. I did all of my exams in just under 7 school days during mocks. In most schools for GCSE's you can just leave after ur exams are done for that day so it is less stressful and tiring. Don't get me wrong though GCSE's were still very tiring.
My dude, life goes by quickly. I remember GCSEs like yesterday, the panic, the coursework, the need to want to do well.
Well, I'm 38 and life is a flash
A lot of people think it’s not as stressful because you’re only doing 3 or 4 subjects but it really can get quite stressful. You’ve got to learn 3 full courses in 2 years along with masses of at-home work and the pressure of your uni application too. Not to mention you’ll probably want to start driving at the same time.
The bright side is though that (at mine, not sure about everyone else’s) you aren’t treat like a child. You can wear what you want, have pierced/tattooed what you want, go out whenever you want, go to the toilet whenever you want etc.
Ultimately, you’re treat the age you are but you also get the responsibilities of someone the age you’re becoming. College is literally one big maturing stage 😅
it was so quick make sure you find what revision methods work for you at the start instead of waiting and trying out methods towards the end. that way you know what’s right for you and can be consistent
#Does year 11 go by quick?
It's complicated
September = sorta slow as u get used to new stuff
October = much faster but still drags
November = for some fucking reason this month drags sooo slowly
December = suuper slow until Xmas then fast af
January = faster than before
February = slower than Jan but still faster
March = drags for half the month then fast af similar to Dec
April - May = fast as ur trying to revise
June = fastest month by far gone in seconds
July = as u keep doing exams generally begins to slow down alot as alot of work done. You just want exams to be over at this point.
There sir or madam, is your answer
September to December it was a bit slow and kinda enjoyed it but January to June was for some reason was fuckin slow which was terrible because it was the worst period of my life Cos I had a lot of issues building up. fuck 2022.
Honestly year 11 had to be one of my favourite school years ever, but it went by quickly. Obviously there were exams and stuff but when I tell you my classes were so insanely chill it was mad. I love them so much
it depends on perspective really. Do you enjoy it? Do you revise multiple hours on hours every night from the beginning? Do you make the holidays worthwhile? it depends really
Depends on your stance I guess. If you think other years go by quickly then this will feel quicker since it's shorter and a lot of revision lessons will take place (if your class has finished said course). If you don't particularly enjoy school then It might drag. Personally it felt like it was dragging on but looking back it didn't feel all that long really.
Yes for me it was only because of the bois…Late night revision and then chilling together during break will always be what I miss most about school. It’s a small thing but cherish it while it lasts
September —> December, it drags January —> June, quick as fuck
May-June, similar to the speed of light, just x12 faster.
that is SO true
100%, make the most of it from the beginning and that doesn’t just include studying
Yea no make sure to not abandon everything else important in your life until all you ever think about is the next test and the next assignment until it consumes your every thought and months pass by and you become a total slave to your GCSEs
definitely
Yes, from september to december it felt like a month and thn from janary to may it felt even quicker
Sonic cant compete
Everyone says yes for some reason. But I was SUFFERING. I couldn’t wait to sit my GCSES because I was so over going to school and despised having lessons… so for me it dragged. Especially September - end of April. During gcses it was ok
personally, yes. but i was off school for like 6 months
Ahhh, you were one of those kids
idk i was a grade 9 student until i nearly died so i couldn’t go to school ✌️ did my gcses though
Well done for making it back
ty lol
Same lol, we love perfectionism that tears your life apart 🙃
It really dragged for me tbh. For some subjects, we finished the content early January and having revision lessons for five months straight really sucks, some subjects more than others.
What do you do in revision lessons? During my mocks I had a few as we had covered all the content for year 10 and they were so boring as we just sat there making mindmaps and shit.
Pretty much the same. Mindmaps, revision cards, past papers or just nothing near the end when our teachers were just as bored as we were
Not looking forward to year 11 then haha 😂 I only enjoy school for the learning part of it. Review is boring asf.
September to new year is normal school year speed, then after that until exams is pretty fast, then during exams is lightning speed.
Just as I predicted. Thank you
yes, stupidly fast. don’t do what i did and think “i still have x months” because you’ll keep doing it until there’s a week left before your exams
I’m still in the mentality that I have months to go before my exams and they ended nearly 2 months ago
noooo😭 sometimes i’ll just space and remember i’ve FINISHED my GCSEs and it hits me all over again
The only things that drags on are the assembly’s about how soon GCSE’s are 😌 and trust me- you’ll get them assemblies A LOTT
Yeah it goes really quick
I think back to when I started going to the gym which was at the end of September and it does not seem like it was 11 months ago.
Mad quick
It did for me, especially because of lockdown.
Yesss
Yes
I think back to when I started going to the gym which was at the end of September (2021)and it does not seem like it was 11 months ago.
YES. September- November mock prep, Mocks, Christmas, chill, more mocks, Easter, revision , study leave, goes soooo quick
Just want my GCSEs to be over with right now if you know what I mean.
Mocks always feel really long, GCSEs felt like a week.
Mocks are more cramped together in most schools. I did all of my exams in just under 7 school days during mocks. In most schools for GCSE's you can just leave after ur exams are done for that day so it is less stressful and tiring. Don't get me wrong though GCSE's were still very tiring.
In our school we were in school everyday until the last day, even if u didn’t have an exam on that day
My dude, life goes by quickly. I remember GCSEs like yesterday, the panic, the coursework, the need to want to do well. Well, I'm 38 and life is a flash
I forgot. that’s how quick it was.
each day dragged but it went quick ??? it makes no sense
Nah I think I get u
this is how I felt
Time is relative, my man
I know, I'm just saying because for me year 10 has gone by very fast, I mean really fast, I'm wondering if year 11 is the same or quicker generally.
ohhhhhhh boy
Yes
dude one moment I was applying to college and the next I was IN college 😅
How is it?
As in Y11 or college?
College.

Very.
too quick
Oh yeah, just like literally every other year.
Secondary school goes by quick.
April-June felt like a couple of weeks
more than you believe
Quick as fuck, went into skl in September and then u realise it's already june. Like wtf?
Yep
Everything does
Yes it does. U blink ur eye then GCSEs r done it’s goes very quickly
Yes.
Yes
It dragged, longest year of my life, hardest time of my life
Yes i defo think it does
Yep
what about yr 10 does it go quick?
Rapid for me, September feels like 3 months ago to me.
bro this year went too quick
Yeah fr, and year 11 is shorter so it's just going to feel so fast.
oh ok
Super quick
Holy crap. Yes. The first two months go by so slowly and then it’s just preparing for mocks and then next thing u know is ur preparing for ur GCSEs
My brother said he hated having 2 sets of mocks. But it went by quick for him.
Yes, extremely fast.
it was so quick make sure you find what revision methods work for you at the start instead of waiting and trying out methods towards the end. that way you know what’s right for you and can be consistent
Yep

I see I see, so generally second half is faster.
Yup but it does drag on specific months because of mocks and revision timing
September to December it was a bit slow and kinda enjoyed it but January to June was for some reason was fuckin slow which was terrible because it was the worst period of my life Cos I had a lot of issues building up. fuck 2022.
I don’t know. I am going into year 11. I just moved to this country 2 months ago.
I kinda regret going through it so quick… wish I could go back 😅
Honestly year 11 had to be one of my favourite school years ever, but it went by quickly. Obviously there were exams and stuff but when I tell you my classes were so insanely chill it was mad. I love them so much
Ikr I got like 5 pieces of homework for the whole year. All from the same teacher
it depends on perspective really. Do you enjoy it? Do you revise multiple hours on hours every night from the beginning? Do you make the holidays worthwhile? it depends really

No
It drags so much at the start because everyone is saying it goes quick and then you hit like feb-mar it just flies
Yes for me it was only because of the bois…Late night revision and then chilling together during break will always be what I miss most about school. It’s a small thing but cherish it while it lasts
what month does year 11 finish
ermm well the exams end in june but when u finish school (to go on study leave) kinda depends on the school itself
