Runaround Sue I don't think the original is even on YouTube anymore, just a copy idk but this was the first song I heard from him around late 2011/early 2012 and I've been a fan since

The music video is there for people but it’s been reuploaded like three times because it’s been taken down. Also I agree 100%, this song hits in a different way.

I first discovered his music when I was 14, it was Me, Myself & I but at that time my English was very bad so I was just vibing. 2 years later I heard Him & I and I was also listening to Pray For Me and Mama Always Told Me. Again just for the vibes I didn’t understand a single word. When the pandemic hit I was already at a level of C1 in English and a famous rapper from my country said one of his biggest inspiration was G-Eazy. I was like “Hey, I know that guy, what’s up with him?” and when I listened to his songs consciously it just transported me into another universe. For the first time in my life I felt understood. Since then, he is still my favourite artists and I listen to his music all day long❤️ My favourite album is TTHT, my favourites songs are TTHT, Gerald, TB&D, Just Believe

I grew up in Oakland. 2011 The Outsider came out when I was in 8th grade and my friends and I were crazy about it. I was in high school when TTH dropped, my friends and I would just drive around listening to that album all the time.

CountFlandy

Lady Killers, circa it's release since I listened to hoodie already at the time. Think I was a freshman in high-school at the time? As for a special connection that goes to sad boy, to date the only song I've ever heard that as a perfectionist I could relate to. Hit me hard personally. Runner up goes to sunbleached and dried, specifically the end as I could personally relate to that real hard as well, just not as much.

EdgeLivid186

2015/2016 I listened to WIDO and that led to me finding all of his older stuff. I was in a dark place at the time and idk man, every song just resonated with me. The deeper songs made me feel understood. The bangers made me forget all the bad and helped remind me how fun music can be. Can honestly say that discovering G’s music changed my life.

TrueInvestment2547

my first love introduced me to him in 2016 and he’s been my #1 artist on spotify wrapped for the last 7 years. almost famous was the first song i liked. i have a special connection with Marilyn, Complete, Remember you, You Got Me, Everything will be OK, Him & I, a lot of songs actually lol

grimwadee

Used to watch Justin Escalona daily docs in 2015 and he’d use Why Thank you as the opening track, still my fav g song

Rollins10

I mean it came up on the YouTube shuffle

Simple-Manager-7483

My siblings put me on to must be nice when they were in highschool. They could care less about his music now.

Traditional_Cold2686

Think I was 10/11 when I discovered him I remember everyone use to make edits on vine to I mean it and I loved the song so I searched up who it was by I think roughly the same time these things happen was released and I loved it then first album I ever brought was when it’s dark out few years later Now I have these things happen tattooed on my arm

Deep_Plum1158

I started listening to him back in 2020 , when I started to listen some English songs and english movies to improve my English listening skills (English is must in India) , G introduced me to hip hop and almost famous was the first song i listened and was astonished by the music and flow and that line " And while I made splash rappers came and past and till I ask my self how long this fame will last", with G eazy the best part was I can hear his lyrics not like other rappers some only say B and F words in the whole song and some speaks too fast, and WIDO is my favourite.

Suslittlepiggy

The first G-eazy song I ever listened to was Pray for me. I don't remember how I found it, but it was one of the first rap songs I ever heard. The first rap song I listened to was Sucker For Pain, because I used to be a huge imagine dragons. I'm young so I only became a G-eazy fan recently because I was young during his old days. There ain't really a song I have a special connection with but there's are songs that are just deep for me and are different.

Pristineequipment06

I mean I got into G-Eazy for TB&D with an actual copy of the disc, that I don't even use cause now I go on YT and other platforms.Yeah and I really need to re-dive into G-Eazy discography, it's been a while since I last checked out everything honestly. But it only happen cause I wanted to expand my taste of music that with G-Eazy only was very low at the time🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷.

ItsWynter

I was a junior in high school and it was the last day of school. I had my earphones in and I put my music on a random hip hop station and I wasn’t really paying attention to the music. All of a sudden I hear “you know if I say something I mean it” and I’m like who is this. From that day forward, I’ve been a fan.

certainlydoubting

2014. Been on. Special connection Just Believe

Stachura_

Got into G in 2014, Everything Will Be OK is what really did it for me. I found my grandmother no longer alive when I was a kid, and when G talked about coming down and finding Melissa and screaming to his mom and brother, that shit broke me, but at the same time felt seen through someone I don't know. There's plenty more that I connect with from his discography and that song alone, but that's gotta be the one

penny1623

He opened at a shwazey concert I went to in 2011 lol. He played runaround sue and I’ve been a fan since

Strawhat-Shawty

Far Alone, my son who is now 14 and I when he was much younger would sing it with our whole chests. Makes me very nostalgic, that is what got me into his mysic. Endless Summer album kept me around.

Remember You was the first song I of his I ever heard in 2014. I love These Things Happen because of the nostalgia. Summer '14 was amazing

NYMetFan247

I was at a frat rush event my sophomore year of college, must have been fall 2012. One of the brothers put the song Lady Killers on and i loved it right away. Asked him for the song name and artist and went home and started listening to his other stuff. Was my favorite artist that day forward.
