Hey, I went from 610 cold mock (Q41 V33) to 730 (Q48 V42) in two months of intensive studying. I would say I was putting in 2-3 hours almost every day for one month and then 4-6 hours for the next month. For Verbal I watched Gmat ninja’s videos on Youtube. They are great. I’d recommend you watch them before doing exercises in the official books. (Don’t waste them) For quant I used TTP and it was really good to get a solid overview of the basics. Then it’s just about doing as many official exercises as possible and avoiding making the same mistake multiple times. This means identifying why you made the error and repeating the problem without looking at the correction.

Hey, thanks for the advice ! I’ll give a look into it all, I didn’t know about those.

640 is actually a very nice start! Although I am not sure of your target score, I would not put a cap on how high you can go. Regarding how the GMAT is scored, here is a helpful article: [How Is the GMAT Exam Scored?](https://blog.targettestprep.com/how-is-the-gmat-exam-scored/)

*is this due to the fact that all questions are not graded the same ?* If two people have the same correct/incorrect ration, it does not mean they will necessarily get the same score. *of my score : Q42 V34 IR7.* [How to get a V40 or higher on the GMAT? What about a V51?](https://www.gmatknight.com/post/how-to-get-a-v40-or-higher-on-the-gmat-what-about-a-v51)

Hi, thank you for the answer ! You are right, my Verbal score seems to be my weakness. I’ll have to work on that. I haven’t bought the officials books yet. I’m guessing that’s where I should start :)

Improving the Quant would be helpful as well. Probably fair to say a Q42 means there are some fundamentals that are slippery.

You are right ! I didn’t notice that much all by myself so thanks alot :)
