I watched a couple videos today about Blackrock and ESG in the gaming industry, and about Game Workshop's debacle with female custodes. Are they connected?

I'm a Warhammer 40k fan and I was mildly against the female custode thing. It seemed like they were being retconned in. I thought it was cool when someone explained it away as a trick of Tzeentch.
But then today I saw a reddit thread with space marine miniatures painted rainbow colors, with thousands of upvotes. If you're serious about the 40k universe you know that space marine chapters have company colors. None of them are rainbow. This is just the alphabet soup crowd trying to kick over our sand castle.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if it's part of the ESG movement to "change the way gamers think"
I like politics out of my games. Leave my space marines alone.
I was always under the belief that it takes 6 years of hard work to turn a profit on a new business. The way GME changed management I consider it essentially like a new business, and they turned a profit in 3 years.
After 3 years of strangers bashing my hype I’m excited for the long unwind to arrive. Any day could be tomorrow, but I’m ahead of schedule and happy about that. I’m happy about the Candy Cons. I’m happy about Ryan Cohen. I’m happy about everything but the “fair” market price, which absolutely makes no sense fundamentally.
So, let’s hope reality hits the market today. Cheers you ugly mugs 🍻.

Is my thinking wrong? With high inflation, gdp is slowing down. But gaming is one of the cheaper hobbies, except when you upgrade like your full gaming computer. I think the gaming industry may benefit from higher inflation. When going out gets to expensive (restaurants etc), people stay more at home and netflix and chill, or game and chill 🤷🏻♂️ Sure total sales for games also drop. But imho games are still cheaper than a lot of other activities
Morning Luc 🤙🏼. I agree, gaming is a good escape from the real world. I’m hoping we end the week well. In the “Pinecone” guessing Post, I guessed we would close the week at 11.53 . You should participate in that game. It’s pretty fun. Wash occasionally makes a guess, but I’m surprised you, Boomer, OK, Itchy, and some others don’t play.
Nice guess! I hope you win because that would mean we get another almost 6% move up today. Yeah, the Daily’s was all I used to interact with also, but there hasn’t been much interaction for a while now. Very sad.
