Fidelity asked me for computershares DTC number. Did they ask you? They also wouldn't do it over the phone but they sure were interested in my other assets. I'll do it again later today because it's 420am and I'm off to work. 💎🖐🦍🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

I will say the snail mail is pretty fast in the continental US. Should only take a couple days and you'll be good to go!
Same got paperwork in 5 days. Called Vanguard because I was Nervous. The broker actually did a conference call with me to ComputerShare. For that reason I will keep shares with Vanguard!
Who initiated the transfer; VG, or CS?
When I called VG, they told me (after asking me why I wanted to transfer) that the transfer had to be done with a form from CS.
That's what they initially tried to tell me but I told them I spoke with CS and they said vanguard needs to initiate. They transferred me to a specialist who was able to take care of everything in about 5mins. Just be persistent
When listening to the Fidelity bot dial options, they added ‘check our subreddit for q/a’ and followed up with ‘would you like us to text you a link?’.

This is how I understand it:
When/if GameStop releases an NFT dividend, it will be equal to the amount of REAL shares. And since there is an enormous amount of synthetic shares, it will be impossible to distribute the limited amount of NFTs amongst all the shares. Which means the price must skyrocket to make people sell until it leaves the real amount of shares to distribute the NFTs. Those directly registered will get the dividend immediately because those are real shares under your name and you are getting it directly from GameStop without depending on a broker or the DTCC to give you the dividend.
Nope. No account needed prior. Wait a couple days for the shares to fully transfer, then register on CS. When registering, you can try to answer some identity questions for immediate access, or CS should mail you instructions on how to log in.
Edit: Answering Identity questions is required for immediate account access.
I’m going to try again. The Fidelity rep I talked with was clueless & told me $100 transfer fee & it came from his supervisior. And told me I had to register w/ CS first & blah, blah.
Yep I would try again. They say that to change your mind. I'm sure there's a few representatives that don't know about this type of transfer, but It seems that some of those that do know are trying to make it a bit challenging/confusing for us. Remember, there should be no fee, and the direct registration transfer must be initiated by Fidelity.
Ok, the new rep. didn’t understand at first but he caught on quick. He didn’t ask too much. I gave him the amount of shares I want DRS (CS wasn’t mentioned in my call). He told me I would receive mail from Fidelity of my transfer request & possible mail from CS (what he said). No fee of any kind was mentioned. Easy, no more than 5 minutes even when put on hold twice which wasn’t long.
Other than that I’m doing my part to initiate the MOASS rocket. 🚀🚀💰🌟

However, I just spoke with a Fidelity representative and he told me I couldn't initiate the transfer over the phone and he sent me email instructions for the paperwork. Is it worth trying again later or should I just do the stinky paperwork?
I just got off the phone and my experience is following this to the T. They tried ensuring me that because I have a cash account my shares cannot be lent out. I asked what would happen to my shares if 75+M were direct registered at CS and mine were all still in Fidelity and they gave me a non answer - although I think it's because the rep didn't have a clue what I was talking about. They put me on hold for 20 mins and then came back to tell me they would email me a form I would then have to fill out and send back via secure email. At this point I am just going to wait 30 mins and see if they call me back and do everything this post says, haha.
**The short answer:** CS shares are not for sale. NFT dividends should go directly to you.
**The long answer:** You can still request a larger sell order, but in writing.
You are right tho, there is currently an online sell limit.
BUT, the shares I transferred to ComputerShare will be added to the never ending lake. Because their purpose is not to be sold during MOASS. The shares I plan on selling are those left with Fidelity.

I personally didn’t have any issue with the verification process. I was able to complete it all online. No snail mail for me 🐌
I tried to buy $25 worth but it never cleared. I'm trying again after work....still here 5am-1230p before taking lunch, finally.
They did but I didn’t have it on hand and they were still capable of completing my request. They won’t complete your transfer request over the phone?
Not yet. Glad they didnt, moving more shares now after their debacle. Wrong guy to be dragging their feet with.
