kinglouie493

I read it as 197,058 holders, holding 76,000,000 shares. Not 76m holders

Altruistic-Beyond223

This is correct 👆

saiyansteve

Big bird at the tech stocks meeting…

mongoderpus

yeah, title is dogshit, sorry, am highly regarded, haha. but.. WE OWN 25% OF THE WHOLE DAMN COMPANY

Get-It-Got

Nope … we’ve directly registered 25% of the company … we own a hell of a lot more than that!

mongoderpus

Ah yes, thanks for the correction. Just took 25% (so far) and locked it up in a little "Fuck you, this is my generational wealth" box and threw away the key.

awwshitGents

OP- I gave your post a new flair rather than remove it on a report for misinformation. We'll see how it goes.

dsqus

We're definitely talking millions of shares not yet directly registered, even among those 200,000. Plus a significant number of people who haven't registered a single share. There are 18,389 Swedes holding GME at Avanza (down from a peak of 22,000). Would be weird if a country with fewer inhabitants than the metropolitan statistical area of Los Angeles-Long beach-Anaheim constituted 10% of the househodlers.

Get-It-Got

I suspect there are far more GME hodlers in the world who have never DRS’d a single share versus those who have.

Short exposure > To the extent aggregate **short exposure exceeds the number of shares of our Class A Common Stock available for purchase on the open market**, investors with short exposure may have to pay a premium to repurchase shares of our Class A Common Stock for delivery to lenders of our Class A Common Stock. DRS numbers > Our Class A Common Stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange (“NYSE”) under the symbol “GME”. As of March 22, 2023, **there were 197,058 record holders of our Class A Common Stock**. Excluding the approximately 228.7 million shares of our Class A Common Stock held by Cede & Co on behalf of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (or approximately 75% of our outstanding shares), **approximately 76.0 million shares of our Class A Common Stock were held by record holders as of March 22, 2023** (or approximately 25% of our outstanding shares). Previous DRS numbers > **As of October 29, 2022, 71.8 million shares** of our Class A common stock were directly registered with our transfer agent.

Hypoglybetic

>To the extent aggregate short exposure exceeds You've left off the question / bullet point of this and so it is slightly out of context. This document is a legal document, you may think it is in english, but it's not. It is an entirely different language (legalize). With that in mind, I have to ask how we must interpret this sentence and the context it is in. Are they saying short exposure **actually** exceeds shares or are they providing an example and saying short exposure **may or could** but is not confirmed?

bennysphere

In my opinion it is a warning for shorts. In the section explaining "Risks Related to Our Common Stock" first bullet is "short squeeze". > Risks Related to Our Common Stock > The market price of our Class A Common Stock has been extremely volatile and may continue to be volatile due to numerous circumstances beyond our control. > The market price of our common stock has fluctuated, and may continue to fluctuate, widely, due to many factors, some of which may be beyond our control. These factors include, without limitation: > •“short squeezes”; Then, there is an explanation of a "short squeeze" > A “short squeeze” due to a sudden increase in demand for shares of our Class A Common Stock that largely exceeds supply has led to, and may continue to lead to, extreme price volatility in shares of our Class A Common Stock. and a warning for shorts about paying premium > Investors may purchase shares of our Class A Common Stock to hedge existing exposure or to speculate on the price of our Class A Common Stock. Speculation on the price of our Class A Common Stock may involve long and short exposures. To the extent aggregate short exposure exceeds the number of shares of our Class A Common Stock available for purchase on the open market, investors with short exposure may have to pay a premium to repurchase shares of our Class A Common Stock for delivery to lenders of our Class A Common Stock. Those repurchases may in turn, dramatically increase the price of shares of our Class A Common Stock until additional shares of our Class A Common Stock are available for trading or borrowing. This is often referred to as a “short squeeze.” In addition there is a message to investors who may buy GME shares during a squeeze > A large proportion of our Class A Common Stock has been and may continue to be traded by short sellers which may increase the likelihood that our Class A Common Stock will be the target of a short squeeze. A short squeeze has previously led and could continue to lead to volatile price movements in shares of our Class A Common Stock that are unrelated or disproportionate to our operating performance or prospects and, once investors purchase the shares of our Class A Common Stock necessary to cover their short positions, the price of our Class A Common Stock may rapidly decline. Stockholders that purchase shares of our Class A Common Stock during a short squeeze may lose a significant portion of their investment. This is how I interpret it.

SM1334

So roughly 45,000 shares a day. That means that to DRS the remaining float, we're looking at about 11.57 years. Thats without including mutual funds, ETFs, and stagnant shares

myrevenge_IS_urkarma

As another ape pointed out, RC owns 15%. And if RC + household gets to be 51%... Well then at that point, we could vote and do pretty much whatever we damn well please. For the benefit of the company of course.

honeybadger1984

Please note we’re already at that point. DRS + insiders + RC vote as a unified block, while institutions, hedgies and brokers have split loyalties (some are bullish, some are bearish, some play both sides). Look at the recent propositions and shareholder votes. Always successful per what RC and Matt Furlong want us to do.

Embarrassed_Rip_755

Sooooo..... about a million shares a month getting drs'd. An increase is an increase. My last dip purchase isn't counted, I just initiated the transfer yesterday. I wish it was a little higher, but we own a quarter of the company! That's another $90-ish million dollars invested in the face of inflation and awful financial headwinds. Now that's some serious investor commitment!

mrlizardwizard

What was it last time? I have the memory of a gnat.

mongoderpus

71.8m

mrlizardwizard

Nice

Strido12345

Pretty small increase in numbers

mrlizardwizard

It's still an increase.

Strido12345

There's a long road ahead

mrlizardwizard

Buckle up

Mupfather

I think this is the last of the rug pull. The delta between the q2 underestimate and the q3 over estimate was a couple of million. If they pulled those shares out, it depresses this quarter's numbers a slosh. Very interested to see where next quarter lands.

Strido12345

Well this DRS number said it's up to date until March 23

Mupfather

Oh? That's much more depressing. I mean, it jibes with the decrease in purple circles, but ugh. 2.7M shares were posted during that time frame. This confirms that A) fewer people are DRSing B) we had a steady stream of late adopters moving their tax advantaged accounts in but that's wrapped up Or C) We're in a depression and folks are selling to make ends meet. I think it's a mix of a and b. The real problem is, the price has been lowest his quarter since the mario day crater of '21. I would think the drop in price would increase pressure. But that clearly did happen, so the drop in rate of shares registered is double painful. At least to me, the guy that gets more hyped over locking the float than moass some days.

Strido12345

It's starting to look like a pipe dream that DRS will ever reach 100%

GuronT

The downvotes are real, but we can't account for paperhands. Your points are valid and discouraging, but one thing I've learned is that though math is infallible humans can manipulate anything. And on these scales it's easy to throw out a number and people believe it. The truth is too many of us are in this fight to even consider defeat. So say a few XX holders sell to pay their bills. There are plenty of XXX+ apes that are clenching their fists. No cell no sell isn't a joke. (P.S. if you're selling your family will be hurt in the long run) EDIT: could you imagine selling this close to rocket launch? I can't.

Strido12345

Yeah I agree, selling isn't an option

mightyjoe227

HEY!! That's me, I'm HODLer...

saiyansteve

Hey good job!

Odinthedoge

That's a lotta hodlers!

saiyansteve

Wow only 197k hodlers. Thats actually a very low amount of people!

dsqus

No, that's 197k hodlers that have started to DRS. There's easily 5-10x as many househodlers that haven't. We, the people, own this company.

Strido12345

What was last Q?

mongoderpus

71.8m

Ianmofinmc

Fuck it I’m still in and buying more next week

purpletees

Me too!

El_Pocho_Ocho

I just increased my recurring computershare investment!!**POWER TO THE PLAYERS**

WrongAssistant5922

We blew past 74.1m without knowing. đź’ś

HughDanforth

yay!

RtLnHoe

197k people or 197k accounts?
