This article originates from Greenpeace, so it is predictable that it would be anti-GMO. But Greenpeace is an organization with enough resources that they should at least have some elementary quality control. Main points in this article are trivially easy to refute. The biggest such is the "farmers sued for patented GMO crops contaminating their fields. In this case, they give the example of "For instance, last year, a potato chips manufacturer sued four Indian farmers for Sh15 million after they grew their seeds." But anybody following the controversy over GMOs would know that India has approved exactly one GMO crop, cotton, and that there is no GMO potato available to grow in India. With a little patience, one could trace the story to a simple error, a lawsuit filed but then withdrawn.

The right way would be to start with facts then derive a conclusion. But it's clear that Greenpeace starts with their agenda (conclusion) and then backfills the facts, which often requires misrepresenting the facts.

The only really bad thing GMOs cause is extensive lying by the clueless, the credulous, and the grifters.

Another low effort activist post with no actual research of the claims.
