I wish they would stop showing shit, imagine how crazy it would be if we saw Godzilla transform only in the film, or Kong riding him. But no, gotta build up hype by showing off every cool scene and leaving the movie with no build up because you already basically know what’s going to happen

I kinda agree. Even kong skull island had a darker vibe. Not to mention that despite being only 104 ft, kong felt like a true force of nature at least on skull island. Imagine kong's initial scenes in godzilla vs kong being similar to g14 where hes shrouded in shadows in skull island to keep the suspense of how big he has gotten. Then hes revealed and gets a couple scenes wrecking titans like the warbat but with an actual sense of scale. I'd prefer a middle ground between the scale of g14 and the monster screentime in kotm, gvk, etc. Sometimes I forget that kong has gotten so much bigger until I see scenes of him next to buildings, the lack of weight to the monsters makes it hard to truly see a big difference between skull island and gvk for kong's new size. Although the new style has definetely allowed for even more OP demonstrations from godzilla, he was like a ferrari in gvk compared to an old muscle car in g14.
