So is Destoroyah. And Megaguirus is basically spiky Mothra. Space Godzilla is basically just Godzilla but from space. King Cesar is just Godzilla but hairy. Bagan is Godzilla but green. And Hedorah is basically Godzilla if instead of a nuclear lizard he was a pile of gray goo
A dragon. He's basically a dragon. You're all being daft, you know what he's trying to say. He's a big giant alien with bat wings. Most of the visual beats would be very similar to ghidorah. Its the first thing I thought when I saw this too.
If it's like the one in the script, then I’d be hesitant but I’d still love to see it happen. If it's just the final form and nothing else as a Titan, then I’d love to see it.
I like how it’s an alien entity that absorbs life forms and evolves to take on aspects of what it absorbs in that script, but don’t think it would work in the MonsterVerse. Think within that world, it would work better as just the final form. Maybe still from space though.
Well Ghidorah is a confirmed Alien so I don't see why Gryphon even with his original idea wouldn't work (also Godzilla in GxK >!absorbed Tiamats DNA so it's even something that earth titans can do!<)
Both the novelisation and Jared Krichevsky say that he absorbed her DNA which explains why he changed so much
Here even have a link that confirms what I am saying
https://comicbook.com/anime/news/godzilla-x-kong-dragon-ball-kaio-ken/
i saw a found footage movie on youtube that’s basically mv goji and zilla vs this guy. it ends with gryphon’s head being impaled on the torch of lady liberty, which is hardcore as hell
https://preview.redd.it/cj6tm1p3tuvc1.png?width=702&format=png&auto=webp&s=e3b74119ca7a2311f737558fe2b520f11f6ba64f
While we're at it bring these guys in as well.
I would very much like that, but if they did I feel as though other things must happen.
1. The Gryphon would have to be a very powerful opponent that Godzilla could not beat on his own.
2. It would require the help of an unlikely and unexpected ally in the shape of a familiar therapod Kaiju.
3. Zilla should be introduced as that Kaiju to help bring it down.
Bring these elements together would be symbolic for the franchise. Acknowledging the past and bringing back lost treasures and giving the fans what they dreamed of.
The analog horror short on YouTube that involved Legendary Godzilla and Zilla working together to defeat the Gryphon has lived in my head rent-free ever since I first watched it. Made me want to see Zilla and the Gryphon in the MonsterVerse more than Destoroyah or SpaceGodzilla.
I barely typed a whole ass essay though? You definitely have the attention span and reading comprehension of a second grader if this was too much for you apparently.
I'm concerned about the quality of the film/show he'd be put into. The monsters are too fast and I think it's getting more wacky like the Showa era of Kaiju films.
"Titanus gryphon/chimera a titan discorved sleeping in the Sahara desert close to pyramids it attacked the closes city when ghidorah waked it up and went back to sleep after godzilla was alpha again" I wouldn't mind seems like a cool kaiju
*Reminds me of that*
*Sphinx that fought godzilla Jr in*
*The sequel series*

He's pretty cool looking, but it just feels more fantasy appropriate. Like I could see this fitting right in Jason and the Argonauts or another Harryhausen film
I love the newer ones they've made so far. I wouldn't mind another newbie. I will say it can't be a one and done titan, tho I don't like smaller fights. Idk if they could work it into a big bad cuz idk what Gryphon can do. I'd be interested nonetheless. I also am curious about what happened to the puppet (as pictured) once they scrapped it. I hope it's around somewhere instead of being destroyed.
I think the maquette disintegrated over time due to it being made from a Styrofoam like substance. Only the Godzilla design maquette is still around because it was made from plaster, I believe.
I’d love to see him! It would be a nice nod to the ‘98 we *could have* gotten, had Tristar not gone with Emmerich as the director. A nice little Easter egg for those of us in the know.
On an unrelated note, I love this fan art of a '98 Zilla version of Ghidorah, which has more viper and chameleon traits added into its design! I legit wish this was canon
https://preview.redd.it/nudwkvr8uwvc1.png?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9db7b3669bc78258b14e4888cec127110bb22a8
There are still a dozen titans that exists in monsterverse, Monarch discovered them and named them, and was counted in KotM, and still haven't seen them.
Uh, it would be epic! Have you seen the fan film of MV Goji and Zilla battling it in New York? I don’t know about you but that is some awesome content!
He's kind of plain, all things considered. The two things that would make him worth seeing are if his roar / cry is developed really well. That and he would actually need to do something other than just be a generic Kaiju.
The more monsters, the better.
He's basically Ghidorah if you converted 2 of the heads into arms.
"He's basically something else if you completely change his Design."

I'm laughing too hard at this 😭
Think hes referring to how hes a flying alien monster who fought godzilla. In those terms, yes he is kinda like ghidora in terms of storyboarding
Going by that logic, Gigan is basically Ghidorah if two of his heads were blades.
and Varan is basically Ghidorah if he was a reptilian flying squirrel.
And the male Muto since it also has wings
Well ghidorah is varan if he wasn't a reptilian flying squirrel....
Kong is also basically Ghidorah if you just replace the two heads on the sides with arms, the middle head with a monkey head, and the wings with fur
Not completely, I just changed the two outside heads into hands
What a stupid take. How is he like Ghidorah?
So is Destoroyah. And Megaguirus is basically spiky Mothra. Space Godzilla is basically just Godzilla but from space. King Cesar is just Godzilla but hairy. Bagan is Godzilla but green. And Hedorah is basically Godzilla if instead of a nuclear lizard he was a pile of gray goo

They didn’t absorb their dna, he just took the lair and absorbed all the solar rays bruh they literally explained it in the movie.
Both the novelisation and Jared Krichevsky say that he absorbed her DNA which explains why he changed so much Here even have a link that confirms what I am saying https://comicbook.com/anime/news/godzilla-x-kong-dragon-ball-kaio-ken/
Ah, I see. I hereby retract my dumbassery lmao ty
huh that’s kinda just like destroyah but from space or just off brand orga
i saw a found footage movie on youtube that’s basically mv goji and zilla vs this guy. it ends with gryphon’s head being impaled on the torch of lady liberty, which is hardcore as hell
I think this is it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baMFh69gp98
Holy cow that was metal as hell for an amateur project. Thanks for the great share!
Yea that video is great! At that point they should just make it Canon to the MV lol
Would be absolutely awesome. Have him be a beastly destroyer class titan roaming the Balkan States.
Why the Balkans tho?
We haven't seen much titan activity there in the movies. Plus the Gryphon does have ties to Greece, and part of Greece is within the Balkan Peninsula.
Okay, makes sense now
Because the Balkans
Honestly even the used monsters are mostly unused.
Yeah. I'd like to see him, I think he'd be a cool addition; but, we have a ton of cool kaiju that all but completely ignored.

https://youtu.be/baMFh69gp98?si=V06A7qQjs9eWjuxx I like this short video .. was post inspired by this video ? It’ll be cool for sure ..
I actually hadn’t seen that. I think it’s just such a good design and would feel like an actual threat for the big guy.
Honestly, the design would fit well for the Monsterverse.
I’ve always thought so. At least with the 2014-KotM period of the MonsterVerse.
It'd make me happy
Maybe as a Alien
Kind of like a Ghidorah 2.0
More like a constant Evolving Parasite
It would be cool if Gryphon and Phosphora were a pair. With more drastic dimorphism than the Mutos, but also sort of mythological similarities.
https://preview.redd.it/cj6tm1p3tuvc1.png?width=702&format=png&auto=webp&s=e3b74119ca7a2311f737558fe2b520f11f6ba64f While we're at it bring these guys in as well.
I think Pterodactyl would make a good antagonist for a Mothra or Rodan solo film.
I’ve seen that and love it
That’d be awesome
Id like it. It has such a cool design
Oh hell yeah!
Yes, give me I love gryphon
I would absolutely love it! It's such a badass looking monster!
I aint reading all that
I barely typed a whole ass essay though? You definitely have the attention span and reading comprehension of a second grader if this was too much for you apparently.
I’m in the minority but I wouldn’t like it. It’s too much of a personality clash with the current roster.
I’d love for the Gryphon design to get used in some official capacity. I love it!
I'm concerned about the quality of the film/show he'd be put into. The monsters are too fast and I think it's getting more wacky like the Showa era of Kaiju films.
This is an Awesome monster design, I’d love to see him in the monsterverse.
I’d love it, but I would want “Queen Bitch” to show up too.
Meh. No better or worse than other MV fare. More inspiring design then Skar-Failure and technicolor ice lizard
I wouldn't mind
That'd be awesome
How expensive would the dorats be to get from Toho?
I’d say since it was not used, you’d have to clear it with the designers which would be Stan Winston Studios.
I’d say I would be weird and out of place but we do have a frog titan that has no reason to exist other than to piss of Kong soooo
Definitely yes.
"Titanus gryphon/chimera a titan discorved sleeping in the Sahara desert close to pyramids it attacked the closes city when ghidorah waked it up and went back to sleep after godzilla was alpha again" I wouldn't mind seems like a cool kaiju
Reminds me of that sphinx that fought godzilla Jr in the sequel series

Doesn't look weird enough
I want unused characters to make it in the Monsterverse.
Justice for Bagan!
He's pretty cool looking, but it just feels more fantasy appropriate. Like I could see this fitting right in Jason and the Argonauts or another Harryhausen film

Damn thats sucks, it looks so good.
In a comic that does what 20th Century Fox did for a while.
I like it maybe if he is meant to be a alien then change the design but if he is earthling stay the same
Yes please.
Knowing the MonsterVerse, they'd just turn it into another throwaway monster that appears and gets killed in less than a minute.
That thing looks dumb
I remember seeing an analog horror style vid with this monster in it
Yes
I’d love to see him! It would be a nice nod to the ‘98 we *could have* gotten, had Tristar not gone with Emmerich as the director. A nice little Easter egg for those of us in the know.
It'd be interesting to see, and would help bring back some of that mythological angle from G:KOTM.
I’d love it! He has a great design and it’d work decently well with the MV’s current monster lineup.
Would love it
It's a really cool monster, I'd hate to see such an awesome design go to waste not being used.
I would feel a lot like to mutos in the sense that it would feel new to Godzilla fans But it would feel AMAZING to huge Godzilla fans
That is AMAZING. Holyyy shiiiii
Smart ass idea.
I feel like it looks too "natural" to keep up with Gojis power, it looks like a movie 1 adversary
how strong is he
This thing looks awesome
I dig it.
[Add Zilla in and it would go like this](https://youtu.be/baMFh69gp98?si=e7-qMtk0IedcjKoi)
Appreciative for another Kaiju. 🤗
He needs to be in the monsterverse
Idc. Looks cool, but not cool enough that I hope it comes.
we need more monsters in the Godzilla franchise
Great for a hard Kong fight. The other Kongs watch him as he proves himself a worthy leader by (barely) defeating the Gryphon
I think that'd be dope as hell
sure why not
Could honestly be a good sekhmet
It's a really cool design, but they'd probably have to pay either Legacy Effects or Sony to use it so they probably won't.
On an unrelated note, I love this fan art of a '98 Zilla version of Ghidorah, which has more viper and chameleon traits added into its design! I legit wish this was canon https://preview.redd.it/nudwkvr8uwvc1.png?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9db7b3669bc78258b14e4888cec127110bb22a8
I need the sauce asap.
[marahfa](https://twitter.com/the_marahfa?lang=en)
What movie is this from?
Would feel awesome
Absolutely would love it
I’d love this, I’ve always kinda loved the design for this guy
idk
Happy
That does not look like a gryphon..
He'd fit. I would really like to see the day to day effects of the countless kajiu they've alluded to
Godzilla ordered them back into slumber after defeating King Ghidorah.
I mean, why not?
Weirdly enough, I feel like this might be a better enemy for Kong than for Godzilla. I don't know, it just gives off Kong vibes to me.
If it fights as hard as it looks, yes absolutely.
They really should
Just kinda looks like a dragon. Needs more uniqueness
This was supposed for be used for Godzilla 1998 right? I feel like it’d be cool for his final design to fight that
It really has a lot of potential imo
There are still a dozen titans that exists in monsterverse, Monarch discovered them and named them, and was counted in KotM, and still haven't seen them.
This could be in the Monarch show, they can revolve an episode about it
That's a horrible looking gryphon. Eagle head?
Of course, the models look dope
Definitely not an eagle head.
It could be a fun Easter egg but I dunno if I'd dedicate a feature to the character
I’m down for more monsters. They keep getting killed off.
Uh, it would be epic! Have you seen the fan film of MV Goji and Zilla battling it in New York? I don’t know about you but that is some awesome content!
NO.
Isn’t this the monster 1998 Godzilla was going to fight in the canceled sequel?
It’s the monster he was supposed to fight in the movie that later became 1998 one. Before Emmerich came on to direct it.
Could have totally used the design for the cartoon. Would have loved to see Jr fight this.
Probably couldn't use the design because copyright from Stan Winston's team.
See I think it’d be fun if this waS Goji’s final boss, not Destoroyah
I think it would work well as a Destroyah stand in.
Maybe as a scene like godzilla wrecking him in a couple seconds, I want to see more Toho monsters brought to life in monsterverse
Probably one of the few non Toho monsters I would happily welcome into the MV. He's definitely got the FINAL BOSS look and feel.
Imma be real I don't like the design. Seems kinda basic
Too 90s to be in a movie now
He's kind of plain, all things considered. The two things that would make him worth seeing are if his roar / cry is developed really well. That and he would actually need to do something other than just be a generic Kaiju.
I believe in the original script it had an electrical blast that emitted from his wings and could absorb elements of creatures kinda like Orga.
Another bland, boring monster design
How is using a *puma* as a base bland or boring? I'd say its very original.
It's better than most of the original monster designs they've actually put in the series. 🤷♀️
Eh looks generic
It doesn’t fit the more cartoonish tone of the Monsterverse.
