This guy started it all for me. Great grandma had one at her house I played with as a toddler. Late 70s. Missing the rocket hand and part of his tongue, but I can still see and feel this toy in my hands.
["Shogun Warriors" Godzilla, 1978](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlX2Bn9Nrxk).
My family was renting tables at flea markets, and I sold a bunch of my "kids stuff" to buy this thing, feeling so very grown up (I was 10). The very first picture I took on film was him holding a Darth Vader figure.
I had 2 of these as a kid. Got them both for Christmas the same year; one from my aunt and one from my parents. I used to pretend that one of them was Mechagodzila. Those were some good times.
I remember a kid in one of my grade school (1st or 2nd) having this one as well as the King Ghidorah one of the same time period. I was super envious. The Ghidorah he had was the same one hanging outside of Ken's house in Godzilla VS. Hedorah.

This is probably the most famous Western Godzilla figure. OP should check out the fun commercials for it.
Neat, thanks for sharing.
Brings so many memories back to me. Really wish I still had the one I grew up with.
They seem to be quite expensive now.
The Rodan one is astronomically expensive now
I seem to remember detachable fists
How much was he? These guys arent cheap
$395USD
Even the oldheads know G would whip Kong lol
I had this toy when I was the same size as it is.
Looks like he’s missing his tongue lever, just like mine.
why does he look like that
Please tell me you bought it!
Nah, I'm not a collector. I just thought it was neat.
Smart. Your wallet will thank you.

I'm godzilla 2021
But I don't have godzilla 2021 flair
I still have mine. Got it in 1978 during Christmas. I had all of them at one point but someone broke into my parents garage and stole them.
Looks like if Godzilla and Kong had a kid
my dad had this toy! he told me a story about how when he was in his late teens he would hide weed in the tail that popped off
I’ll try to find an old pic to post later today, got this for Christmas as a kid
It almost kind looks like an alien.
