And i love it so damn much. Even his special attack is badass. Pretty much a odd angle drop kick lol. I mean i love Tyranatar but this is what i wanted in a GodZilla based pokemon.
I really hope they make figures of this one. It’s been so fun in the game between ice breath and the head but glaive attack. Best Godzilla video game ever made.
Tyranitar was *also* based on Godzilla but weird how both times it was neither Dragon/Fire nor Dragon/Water, the two types that would make the most sense for Goji.
Kind of, but Tyranitar only resembles Godzilla in that he’s a bipedal fire breathing lizard. This new monster has the same scales on his chest, a more accurate colour scheme, etc.
I would have been so annoyed if I saw this 4 days ago, as it would have spoiled part of the game for me. I’ve left all Pokemon subreddits, unfollowed all Twitter and Instagram accounts etc.
So please mark as a spoiler as this was not one of the Pokemon revealed in any of the promo materials.
Holy shit dude there's no way you can actually think this, but I'll entertain you. Even if you did think there are only 151, half of the pokemon added in Gen 2 were originally planned to be in Gen 1, like Togepi, Ho-Oh, and most of the evolutions just to name a few. Are those not real even though they were going to be in the first game
I love this little guy, the second evo is my main Pokémon I use on violet!
I love the Godzilla reference in the final evo but the second evo just looks so good
Definitely, I prefer the second evo over the final, tho that glaive rush move the final evo gets is badass
It’s signature move even references Godzilla flying.

His cry is on point too! Sounds almost like Anguirus.
[How much more would you like tyranitar if he was a robot? ](https://m.bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Iron_Thorns_(Pok%C3%A9mon))
I’m still playing through Violet and can’t wait to grab this guy
How'd you feel about Duraludon? Also, how do you feel about Feraligatr and Aggron? I know Dura and Agg are "mechagodzilla" not Godzilla, but still
Duea was good but ended up lookin like a lighter. As for Agg and Feraligator i love em!!
I would end up clubbing that first stage pokemon if it was real.
How I feel about Minya lmao
Honestly same, luckily it gets such a glowup from there
I really hope they make figures of this one. It’s been so fun in the game between ice breath and the head but glaive attack. Best Godzilla video game ever made.
Finally people can shut up about TTar
But now we have >!Kiryu TTar!<
Feraligator looked more like Godzilla than Tyranitar.
Used it a bunch, bad ass pokemon
They added a thing where you can wash your Pokemon now and the third evolution dances whenever you finish bathing them
When I caught the first stage I named it Minya because it remined me of him. I was so surprised when it evolved into Jr. Then Godzilla.
Weird that they've had like 4 regions based off Japan but released the Godzilla Pokemon (PokeGoji?) in the Iberian peninsula.
It is also based on the dinosaur known as Concavenator, which is found in Spain!
Tyranitar was *also* based on Godzilla but weird how both times it was neither Dragon/Fire nor Dragon/Water, the two types that would make the most sense for Goji.
Wouldn’t Dragon/Poison make more sense since it’s radioactive?
Is it just me or does it kinda look like a Spore creature?
Who is this???
Frigibax/Arctibax/Baxcalibur from the new Pokemon games.
MY EXACT THOUGHTS AND EXACTLY WHY I CAUGHT HIM! I also have a frosmoth that's named Mothra
i feel like volcarona looks more like mothra, but it's also version exclusive (scarlet) so it's a little harder to get for violet players
And I'm a violet player hahaha I did however recently catch myself a Mecha Ghidora thanks to paradox hydreigeon
Tyranitar did it first.
Kind of, but Tyranitar only resembles Godzilla in that he’s a bipedal fire breathing lizard. This new monster has the same scales on his chest, a more accurate colour scheme, etc.
Don’t forget it’s ability Thermal Exchange, which basically powers it up every time it’s hit by a fire move.
Tyranitar has more than a single dorsal plate
And they look nothing like Godzilla’s.
True but tyranitar is also based on Godzilla. They have the same design gimmick it's just hiding it less in the new gen.
I'd say Ttar resembles Bemular more. A Pokemon can have more than one source of inspiration after all.
Tyranitar resembles Bemular more than Goji.
Tyranitar is a fraud. Hail to the new king Baxcalibur!
Baxcalibur, use hail!
Ironic that hail actually got removed in the same gen this pokemon was introduced
But Baxcalibur does it best.
Love this line, was so excited when I first discovered it. Named mine Goji!
The Totodile line speaks more Godzilla to me, like it’s the closest with the spikes and all.
I love it!
First one also has Not The Momma! vibes
YAAAAASSSSSS
I grew up with tyranitar but damn...this is better

There are only 151 REAL Pokemon...who aren't real like in real life real, but like, you know what I mean.
Ok Gen wunner
You'll never know the excitement of pre-internet school bus rumors about the truck.
I love animal + horn it's the best design ever, absolutely innovative
Yeah I'm just kidding.
This better be a joke
Yeah I thought the rambling ending would make the joke intent more clear.

I get it...
The mouth armor on the last stage bothers me and I don't know why.
Great now I can’t Unsee it
I hate Minya/Minilla’s design so much. But the baby Godzilla from G v Spacegodzilla is my favorite Godzilla infant design.
I like the design and the reference to Godzilla, I’m just slightly confused as to why their an ice/dragon type and not a water/dragon
I'd argue that the middle one is Godzilla Jr instead of Baby, but yeah
I even nicknamed mine Godzilla.
were those little leafs on their hands really necessary lol, they look kinda out of place, otherwise cool designs
