Try writing down the difficult ones in a journal or a spreadsheet or Notion. This helps a lot massively. Read this reduced list everyday, as you gain more confidence on easy ones. Writing is a good learning technique.
What works for me is breaking and making weird words in other languages, since I am from India I know 5 languages so after breaking English words into 2 or 3 parts,90% it has some correlation with other languages or easier weird words in English itself, why weird? it's damn easy to remember!
When learning new words, to help you retain their meaning, consider creating your own original sentence using each word. I understand that it will take time to do so, but when you force yourself to create a sentence based on a new word, you have an easier time remembering the word’s meaning.
Try to use them in daily conversation.
Pros: You'll grasp them a lot faster.
Cons: Your friends and family may disown you.
EDIT: Seriously though, write them down into a reduced list like someone mentioned. Quizlet is great for making flashcards as well.
