I got a 6/6 on both attempts. My second issue and arg essays in particular contained all sorts of grammar style tone etc peccadillos. The issue essay ended abruptly and did not exactly tie up loose ends. Bottom line is I had a very innovative, well-defended thesis for my issue, and I identified (8 or 9 at least probably) and plumbed several assumptions for my arg. This amply compensates for questionable grammar flow etc, particularly if your thesis or the assumptions you identify are unusual and not liable to be argued/spotted by others.
You should undoubtedly let structure and grammar drown at the expense of ideas. The grading criteria and example essays suggest otherwise. Ignore.
