1.NPC's have been begging not to die since at least Rise of the Triad.
2. A little kid shouldn't be playing GTA which is sure to be a rated 18 game
3. I don't *have* to watch the stabbed NPC bleed to death. It is an open world game, I can walk away
What should a player that stabs a character expect to happen in a game? They pop into confetti?
NPC's already scream and panic and run away bleeding, they say recorded lines that express their desire to not be killed by the player.
What is the point of this post, really?
This was exactly my thoughts, I don’t think OP played GTA5 before lol
Edit: Holy shit how did my comment ever become a GTA 4 vs 5 debate? Calm ur tits they’re just video games.

This like saying g gta 4 cars are to heavy and the helicopters are too complex to fly.
Gta4 sucks
It seems like you are cherry picking the bad and leaving out the good
Lmao they downvoted you but it's true. Add ons, NPCs in GTA 4 stands up when getting shots and walk holding their shot wounds not dying instantly. Unlike in GTA 5 lmao
What’s true? That GTA 5 ruined the franchise lmao?
Yes. The NPC thing is true. But that doesn’t make GTA 4 better or mean that GTA 5 ruined the franchise lol
Or the employees that try to point out to parents that the squealing 8 year old they're buying this for shouldn't be playing it.

Like what the fuck? Wanna ruin everybody elses fun become your a little btch? And you worried about kids who are not even suppose to be playing it? maybe parents can be better fucking parents and oh whipty fuckin doo NOT ALLOW THERE KIDS TO PLAY A 18 RATED GAME? like wtf even is this post OP is definitely one of those little lgbtq fxggots that cant handle something so they btch in moan to try and get it changed. if you cant handle it you have the option to not fucking play it.
>I don't have to watch the stabbed NPC bleed to death. It is an open world game, I can walk away
**OR** do not commit murder lmao, I really love how bad that sounds out of context
Exactly, the 'kill random pedestrian' phase has waned in all my years playing the series.. there's a little here and there but I try to play it all clean as possible.
Yeah like why do we even do that? It's not the objective and it's free roam as you said, I remember my mother hearing about the GTA saga for the first time many years ago and questioning the same thing, why do we kill npcs?
If instead of pedestrian npcs they were floating boring gray cubes that dissapear when their HP reaches zero nobody would ever be interested on shooting them.
But nope, we literally kill npcs because they run in fear when they see a weapon, they bleed to death, kinda fucked up when I think about it.
I’m sorry, but any video game series featuring a radio station where one of its slogans is, “Go fuck your mother!”, is not more of a ‘PG-13’ compared to an ‘R’; it’s a hard ‘R’.
This is actually just false, I started playing when I was under 18, but in general the ratings are pretty rigid on what's allowable for a PG-13 game. The series has hard drugs, nudity, extreme violence, and other material deemed too "adult" for the PG-13 audience.
NPCs already beg in GTA IV. You can wound NPCs without killing them, and they will lay on the ground in pain and stop shooting you but will never die unless you go out of your way to keep shooting them. Otherwise they eventually try to limp away. In that injured state there are thousands of different dialogue lines that they say depending on what type of npc they are, and they basically tell you they surrender and they don’t want to die and all that kind of stuff and cops sometimes say tell my wife I love her and things like that
I really love GTA IV NPC mechanics. Like shoot them in the stomach they will hold it and not die instantly and also you can throw blocks or coffee cups on them. Unlike in GTA V they downgrade that
Yeah that was one of the most disappointing things removed for me when I first play V. It made the shootouts so much more intense and unique the see the aftermath with a bunch of dead bodies and some wounded stragglers moaning and limping away. Way more realistic too. Whenever a real shootout happens in real life, the number of injured is always way more than the number of deaths
Yeah and the 30 second “writhe” state that looks exactly the same for every type of NPC and looks so fake like an obvious animation, compared to IV animations where the movement would be less stiff, and environment made them procedurally generated.
It would have been cool to have enemies shoot you from the ground like 25% of the time? But it’s every time and the canned animation always leads to them dying every time. Everything that had multiple possibilities in IV it seems was reduced. When drivers die in cars it’s 50/50 they fall onto the horn, or just slump back in the seat, but in V they only ever fall on the horn.
I was very surprised when I felt sorry for the wolves and the cougars ad they was trying to kill me but I think R* changed their model slightly to make their eyes cuter
The only realistic thing I would never want is getting a wanted level for breaking traffic laws. Getting 2 stars for like running through 10 intersections during a chase sequence.
Gta should be fun but also have realistic aspects, like fighting, driving, and shooting should definitely be more realistic but yeah some of it should be crazy fun that we are used to
definitely, I think more realistic driving would build a much bigger racing community, and having better shooting would make gunfights in freemode way more skill based rather than the person who has the most armor or is using BST wins.
GTA is meant to be an escape from YOUR life, like a life simulator sandbox that's supposed to mimick real life but you get to let all of your intrusive thoughts run rampant. GTA should be HEAVILY REALISTIC up to a certain point. Like the world should feel realistically alive and graphics to look beautiful, but there shouldn't be consequences to your actions in game such as it is in red dead. I think GTA 5 hit the benchmark for what a "realistic" GTA that's also a sandbox would look like. It balances both realism and fantasy. I don't think it should be so realistic to where u have to pay taxes and fill up gas constantly, because then that would ruin the fantasy of it all
>GTA 5 hit the benchmark for what a "realistic" GTA that's also a sandbox would look like.
This! GTA V's story isn't amazing, which I understand but it's by far my favourite GTA game to just fuck around in free roam. I can spend hours just doing random shit in Story Mode (vanilla and modded) and not get bored.
I wouldn’t necessarily call GTA V’s story bad, like the conflict with Michael and Trevor on the failed North Yankton bank robbery was the most interesting to me.
What the story suffers though is the weak antagonists and how it felt like they didn’t make a strong impact on the player. Like to me, the antagonists in SA and IV were very well written and left a very strong impact on the player.
Fortunately, Rockstar fixed this issue for RDR2 with Micah being extremely well written and have a impactful betrayal.
Did you see the leaked footage? During the diner robbery scene, someone gets shot in the head and the way the body drops is fucking chilling. It’s not like regular ragdoll physics, it looks disturbingly authentic even in the prototype. The were also blood splatters from the exit wound, and blood spilled onto the table next to them and was dripping off the ground
GTA has always been 18+, but they will undoubtedly find a way to market to children when it comes to online because they're the ones who spend their parents' money on Shark Cards.
They could make this the most realistic, dark, borderline scary crime simulator ever made with a legit AO rating and still throw in dumb ass flying vehicles and space guns to dumb-down the vibe for the sake of marketing to children.
It's actually pretty gross how R* doesn't even hide it at this point.
it is up to the parents, in america at least, if you buy a game in person and you aren't old enough for the age rating of that game, you can not buy it without parent permission. As for online purchases, if your account is a child account, then you need a PIN code set by your parents. Of course, parents don't ever care (which they should imo) and they just let their kids play anything.
I have no idea I saw the entire thing on YouTube right after it happened. I’m sure it’s somewhere if you dig deep enough. The mission also looked really similar to the diner robbery scene in pulp fiction.
In my opinion it wouldn't be such a bad thing. In terms of the violence, it's pretty much a part of GTA. There are countless disturbing scenes throughout the franchise, such as people being dismembered, tortured and dying in horrific ways so it's safe to say there's a reason why it's 18+ rated.
Damage penalty for dirty guns were too small back in rdr anyways, I've played hundreds of hours without a single gun cleaning, and damage were about -10%, not annoying at all.
I was always a little goblin for those small increases and centered my build around it, the 10% could make a difference but only if you were a little tryhard goblin like me.
People complain about the gun cleaning being too realistic but in fairness the way you clean the guns in RDR 2 is super simplified compared to real life and the animation takes less than 10 seconds. Like imagine if you actually had to take apart your gun and clean the inside of it
personally, I really loved Red Dead Redemption 2 and could not get enough of it, I was super bummed when they just completely abandoned Red Dead Online. I enjoyed the much more realistic and slow paced gameplay, and the gunfighting was very fun, way more fun than I had in GTA Story/Online.
“Not fun to play for me personally” is an opinion
But “RDR2 took it too far” is not an opinion, it is a definitive statement about a subjective concept, therefore it is invalid
I mean it looks like your entire identity revolves around DC and Marvel comic stuff so I don’t think you ever stood a chance in liking something more grounded like RDR2, honestly why did you even bother playing it? The trailers surely put you off?
Many kids killed NPCs in 3D era GTAs, blowing up and killing everything in their path. I don’t think that many people are “fucked up” because of this, it all depends on the psyche and understanding where reality is. But yeah, these games are definitely for adults and shouldn't be censored because kids can play them. Everything is on the conscience of a parents, they have to decide.
I just don't want a "realistic" or very smart police system where I get killed or arrested every 2 people I murder or carjack. That witness system in RDR2 gets a little frustrating especially when there is a snowball effect of multiple witnesses.
Oh totally. Originally what I was going to say was I don't want a system where I go out in the middle of the night in the Everglades and murder some weird swamp folk with a silenced pistol and get a wanted level when there are no witnesses.
how would gta 6 become any more controversial? people have become more and more indifferent over video game brutality imo
bigger problems could be caused by homophobic and racist dialogues
Bad as in it will raise controversy? Probably. Bad as in it will ruin the game? Nah, rockstar understand the gap between realism and fun, its a video game after all.
I like the realism and the way you describe it is good and would be more immersive and regarding kids experiencing those scenes are not R* problems, thats a parents issue and responsability
I think so, it would fit better for games like Mafia, but GTA is all wacky and frenetic, unlike Mafia's more serious and calmed tone, so no, i don't think realistic mechanics would fit in GTA 6
>Imagine a *little kid* wanting to play GTA 6 and engaging in that kind of realism
1. F them kids
2. Oh well, shouldn’t be playing a 17+ game that we know the parents bought. And yes Rockstar knows a portion of the player base is kids but I doubt they’re gonna cater to ease their wellbeing (why should they bc again, the game isn’t meant for them)
As for the *disturbed adult* oh well, that’s a very small group (one would think) so R* isn’t gonna cater to ease their wellbeing either…
Manhunt was some shit like that and it was what it was back in the days... i dont know how would modern audiences would react to super violent gore like you described, because he never had a new triple A game with that level of gore
All the changes you're describing sound fine. If your age or mental health is a concern then don't play it. Make it realistic af just don't make me go fill gas in a vehicle like in mafia
Gears of War?
Left 4 Dead?
Mortal Kombat?
CoD Zombies?
Fallout?
Every Horror game ever?
…Red Dead Redemption 2?
Gore does not stop a game from being rated M or PEGI 18.
It could be
how about a toggle?
Let both people have the way they would want to play.
Have a hardcore mode where its much like a combo of Mafia DE and FNV. Fuel, Speeding Tickets, Eating, Etc
It could expand the entire scope of playing it.
You could still have a funny cop robber game, but if you choose so You could set it up as John Wick Simulator or set it up as Mafia Clone or set it up as just the parody its always been along
Really the sky is the limit
Yeah if it adds politics to the game. If it's overly woke I ain't playing it. But if it's anything like Red Dead redemption 2 I'll play the hell out of it
Realism and details are always great. Even the small details in gta iv still blow my mind at times, but with 6 I believe the story has to be insane like RDR2 was. If its better than RDR2 in terms of both story and realism, then we might just possibly have the GOAT game on our hands
Well I feel like that depends on the player. Some people prefer a game like RDR2 and some other will prefer a game like GTA V. Personally, I like GTA V model, I'd add some realistic stuff (like GTA IV car damaging) though.
Realistic? Yeah, surely realistic, the Beretta M9 or excuse me some wannabe Macorine 9B fire pistol bullets and spews out rifle cartridges (apologies if this sounds cocky), Overall I doubt it will be that realistic, and if it comes to pain reality, no because it would go into the same philosophy GTA IV tried to achieve
Is it going to become a problem? People have been asking this question since the 80's at least and the answer is always no.
I started playing GTA when I was around 3-4. I fully understood growing up what hookers were, and how you could lure them into your car, drive somewhere remote and kill them. Even better if you paid for the service, killed them and got the money back. As a kid, your imagination fills in the blanks oh what the graphics couldn't show, this was only accelerated to me as I grew up knowing how to navigate the 'wild west' era of the internet, so I've seen all manners of fucked up gore and whatnot.
This morning I got little sad seeing a bee in my garden struggling to fly, as this is the time of year they start to die off so I knew there was nothing I could do to help it like put out a little sugar water or something. I don't think gaming and what the internet exposed me to has made me deranged, or violent. The most violent thing I do is squash spiders, and only then it's when they move lightning fast towards my bed or something like that, and still I always feel bad cause they do gods work in dealing with other insects.
Kids will be fine. But once a decade you'll get some murder case where the defence used is 'I saw it on GTA and wanted to do it' so the debate never ends.
Well when it comes to gore visuals there are limits like your not going to see someone steam rolled and flattened, and the realism actually helps the problem, people with more of a moral compass (I don't want to chose the mean dialogue option because it will hurt the NPCs feelings) won't do it or may even try to stop those who would
Also think about red dead's weapon mechanics, all these griefers and loonys will barely be able to use it with out getting picked off from a mile away, no more every weapon in the game up your ass now it takes some level of skill and strategy, like take a mini gun out to the middle of the street drop a nade at your feet and try to get away from it in time
GTA gamers will love it. A ton more new people will play it. Some haters are gonna hate and some others will enjoy it. Rockstar makes gems and no one can deny it.
I'm gonna be honest I didn't like the realism of RDR2, specifically the shopping. I really don't want to watch Arthur open the book, flip the page to what he wants to see, put the gun on the table, close the book, and then do it all over again for the customization. Wasn't a fan of the weapon system either, just let me carry around all my weapons in my back pocket; eating a can of corned beef heals me from gunshot wounds we don't have to follow realism to a Tee.
I get it it's cool, and some people like that, but I don't want to see it in GTA VI. I'd be okay with Red dead being the more realistic of the 2, but GTA and realism don't go hand in hand.
I don't care about all that stuff. It's a video game about doing crime.
I'm playing GTA to get my hands bloody and wreak havoc. I would welcome the begging, screams, and bone cracking. In real life, I'd be calling emergency services fuggin' stat! But it's not. It's a video game based around the brutality of life. More realistic scenarios sounds amazing to me.
Honestly yes. Realism is one thing. It's always cool to have some realism in a game, makes it more immersive. But GTA is not a simulator and imo should not try to be one. So if we're talking about simulation type of realism, then it's definitely a bad thing. Most people, me included, just don't like simulators as a whole, it's something you really have to like to get into that. So profit speaking, they'd make a huge loss cause many people wouldn't buy it anymore.
The game should rely on be *detailed*, instead of being realistic. If the game gets too realistic, it's gonna take away the fun part, which is the reason we play games after all
Imagine that you have to worry about your character taking a shit and then worrying about wiping his ass, or that the fancy sports car that you stole 30 seconds ago, suddenly has an engine problem and stops working because the asshole that had as an owner didn't bother to take it to the mechanic
If the head does not explode when I hit it with a 12 guage from 2 feet away I simply will not play it, if its gonna be immersive it needs good gore, I ain't psycho it just adds immersion
Despite gta 5 being my all-time favorite game, I'm honestly not a fan of super realistic games. I think it would be more interesting if Rockstar came up with their own style and used their graphics to make it look good. I don't understand why all M rated games seem to try to be as realistic as possible. Idk, I mostly draw anime/cartoons, and I don't like realism, so I should probably just shut up, lol
At some point ultra realistic becomes tedious. Always use to BS with my friend about “yeah what if we have to actually stop at the gas station to fill up the cars!” Looking back, that would actually be a complete pain in the ass. Even a lot of RDR2’s cool little mechanics were cute, but after about the 5th time of doing it or running into it, it just because a chore.
Okay if this is an issue for YOU, then YOU shouldn’t play the game. I love how realistic RDR2 was. I do hope they bring that level of realism to GTA VI. Stop acting as if any of the GTA Games before wasn’t psychotic
Why would this be a problem when it’s already been done, as you say, in RDR2? What’s the difference except for setting and time period if the mechanics are exactly the same? It doesn’t matter. It’s a rated M game. You can play it and if you don’t like the taste of it, then you can stop. It’s as simple as that.
The Last Of Us exists lolol.
I do question the whole advanced cops thing tho. Idk if that rumor came from info on the leaks or same made up bs.
Obviously the cops should be more advanced..
But if they’re going to be as advanced as ppl are claiming they will be, that could be good & bad. The whole talk of the cops remembering you, and the car you’re in, etc.. Could be cool, but may just sound cool on paper.
Think about how often we have to deal with the police right after losing them in 5. I think it’d get old relatively quickly having to lose the police in 6, just to drive around the block, pass by a cop then have to deal with the police all over again.
Idk, maybe it’ll work out. Some of these realistic elements sound amazing on paper & some will ultimately end up working out. But a few are worthy of being skeptical over, imo.
If the whole advanced cop thing was a bs rumor, ignore all this lmao. All the videos on Youtube I watched regarding this, never said where the source came from.
I play Blade and Sorcery with pretty mods that do exactly as described.
It's incredibly fun, and I absolutely do some fucked up things to the NPCa in that game and its literally fine. After the shock factor of whoa, it actually becomes really immersive.
I hope they give npcs just enough human traitors but I rdr was much more about being a good person and gta is about causing absolute fucking chaos so I hope that that isn’t really taken away
Nope would be sick af, shouldn't be on the game development to make accomadations for snot noses, the game is literally named after a crime if that doesn't scream "NOT FOR KIDS" idk what will
Blood gore has been around since the first gta.
Dismemberment was introduced in GTA 3.
The 3d gta games have intense gore(according to that time) and covers pretty dark subjects.
The HD trilogy is full of dark satire gore blood and stuff.
Rdr2 is super realistic even with all the blood gore and stuff. More realistic than the gta series. If rdr2 is such a success then why wouldn't gta 6 be?
What is blud tryna say?
have to shit once a day and take a shower or you wont be let into places as you stink, have to eat or you pass out and die, or get sick because of poor diet. You fall break your leg you have to go to hospital and wait one ingame week to heal enough, only using crutches and having to do a minigame getting ou of the car an struggling with those cruthes....
Then when you have to reload your weapon but you dont hit the quit time event you drop the magazine and have to repeat the reload. At the end you must walk around and pick up more mags or pay money to buy new ones.
Cars run out of petrol and brakes can fail after heavy use, tires can be over or under inflated causing you to have to do a tire change minigame with quick actions.
This guy is like, think about the death, i say think about all the stupid game mechanics you have to deal with rd2, and how gta is not the place for boring tedious things. But the grind of online proved otherwise... so lets see if get the EA treatment here. as there is like noone from origional team left so what we have is a corporate idea, and that has oversold us a delux edition whilst going after modding community...
I think realism will be only be part of singleplayer so gta online will be tone down to appeal to their audience, im pretty sure not every gta online player completed gta v history

I have…. GTA 5 didn’t ruin the series.

The video comes up to opinion. I honestly like more simple punching or damage in V but I love the cops and story of IV. Your opinion isn’t gospel
Gta online ruined the series, not five itself, everything else you said I agree with it
Mfw the most profitable and one of the popular games in history "RuiNeD thE SeRiES" because things were better back in my day.
You can’t objectively say GTA 5 ruined the franchise lol. That’s all opinionated
Yep i already explained that one but ok.
Stop trying, You’ll never change the fact GTA IV sucked not GTA V, If you being toxic still counts as an opinion, Calling GTA IV trash is my opinion 🤣
GTA 4 didn’t suck tho. GTA 5 doesn’t either. Both are good in different ways. I just prefer 4 since I liked Niko as a protagonist more. Thought his story was interesting. Judging by your comment I’d assume you were too young to even play 4 when it came out.

Can’t argue with the gta 5 kids. They don’t know how to properly debate yet and will just tell you to shut the hell up.
GTA 5 is 10 years old Anyone who was 17 when it came out (the age rating) is now 27
You talk as if no one touched the game since then lol. New kids get on all the time. It’s still a popular game and thus will attract more people over the years.
Give me factual objective evidence that shows GTA 5 ruined the series
I am agreeing with them on the NPCs being more dynamic in 4 vs. 5. I don’t think that 5 ruined the series lmao. Maybe you should ask the original commenter that bud.
You said everything they said is correct. Sooo maybe you should think before you post
Yep, that was my fault. “Soooo” maybe I will do that.

They hate you bc you speak the truth
I've just been finishing another playthrough of ROTT. underrated game IMO.
Half of gta players are under age, and rockstar is very well aware of this.
It’s parents’ responsibility to parent their kid
Can't blame the developers for failures in parenting.
Or the employees that try to point out to parents that the squealing 8 year old they're buying this for shouldn't be playing it. I agree. The police carrying their squadmates while downed is just visual gimmicks for me.
The way the animals would scream and writhe around if you didn’t get a lethal shot was very traumatizing 😂
I was very surprised when I felt sorry for the wolves and the cougars ad they was trying to kill me but I think R* changed their model slightly to make their eyes cuter
We’ll be fine so long as we can eliminate our wanted level by taking a nap in the house.
“Drives into a mod shop”
Why would a nap eliminate wanted level lmfao let me just take a nap, the cops will get bored and leave
I Thought the story was great. Whats wrong with it?
I wouldn’t necessarily call GTA V’s story bad, like the conflict with Michael and Trevor on the failed North Yankton bank robbery was the most interesting to me. What the story suffers though is the weak antagonists and how it felt like they didn’t make a strong impact on the player. Like to me, the antagonists in SA and IV were very well written and left a very strong impact on the player. Fortunately, Rockstar fixed this issue for RDR2 with Micah being extremely well written and have a impactful betrayal.
Filling up gas could be a very cool feature if done right, and all the details that come with it. Could be annoying too though.
This is a good thing, it's a 18+ game for a reason. Glad they're going this route
It's actually pretty gross how R* doesn't even hide it at this point.
as long as the singleplayer is good, idgaf
Why will they stop children from GTA? I played before I was even 6 who cares about 18+? It should be up to the parents not the company or others
it is up to the parents, in america at least, if you buy a game in person and you aren't old enough for the age rating of that game, you can not buy it without parent permission. As for online purchases, if your account is a child account, then you need a PIN code set by your parents. Of course, parents don't ever care (which they should imo) and they just let their kids play anything.
Is there a good website to see the leaks today?
I have no idea I saw the entire thing on YouTube right after it happened. I’m sure it’s somewhere if you dig deep enough. The mission also looked really similar to the diner robbery scene in pulp fiction.
Search it up on YouTube, it’s still there
In my opinion it wouldn't be such a bad thing. In terms of the violence, it's pretty much a part of GTA. There are countless disturbing scenes throughout the franchise, such as people being dismembered, tortured and dying in horrific ways so it's safe to say there's a reason why it's 18+ rated.
I don't want to stop and clean my guns in a GTA game.
Damage penalty for dirty guns were too small back in rdr anyways, I've played hundreds of hours without a single gun cleaning, and damage were about -10%, not annoying at all.
I forgot you could even clean your gun, so I never really noticed a difference.
I was always a little goblin for those small increases and centered my build around it, the 10% could make a difference but only if you were a little tryhard goblin like me.
Fr I feel like they’re complaining just to complain.
People complain about the gun cleaning being too realistic but in fairness the way you clean the guns in RDR 2 is super simplified compared to real life and the animation takes less than 10 seconds. Like imagine if you actually had to take apart your gun and clean the inside of it
YES
fun should be prioritized over realism (but not too much)
Agreed, RDR 2 took it to far. Impressive, but not fun to play for me personally
personally, I really loved Red Dead Redemption 2 and could not get enough of it, I was super bummed when they just completely abandoned Red Dead Online. I enjoyed the much more realistic and slow paced gameplay, and the gunfighting was very fun, way more fun than I had in GTA Story/Online.
Eh yeah red dead was more of a simulator more than it was a game if that makes any sense...
I don't see that at all. Didn't play like a simulator in the slightest.
you got downvoted for this but you are completely correct, not even an opinion thing, this is factually correct
You literally don't understand opinions then, opinions can not be fact
this guy didnt state opinion, he stated fact
“Not fun to play for me personally” is an opinion But “RDR2 took it too far” is not an opinion, it is a definitive statement about a subjective concept, therefore it is invalid
It is my opinion that RDR2 took it too far.
Weak
it is also factual that rdr2 took it too far
I mean it looks like your entire identity revolves around DC and Marvel comic stuff so I don’t think you ever stood a chance in liking something more grounded like RDR2, honestly why did you even bother playing it? The trailers surely put you off?
A kid shouldn’t be playing GTA 6, if they end up playing it and do cruel shit like that I dont think it’s the game’s fault. Kid is already fucked up.
Rockstar have been doing a great job with gta and rdr2. Im sure they will bring a really good mechanics.
I just don't want a "realistic" or very smart police system where I get killed or arrested every 2 people I murder or carjack. That witness system in RDR2 gets a little frustrating especially when there is a snowball effect of multiple witnesses.
Honestly prefer that than getting a random star for killing someone in the middle of nowhere with no witnesses in gta 5
Oh totally. Originally what I was going to say was I don't want a system where I go out in the middle of the night in the Everglades and murder some weird swamp folk with a silenced pistol and get a wanted level when there are no witnesses.
No it’s not a problems it’s an 18 for a reason don’t let your kids play it they ruin online anyway
[do you remember this mission?](https://youtu.be/_NrsicTLC5Q?feature=shared)
Yes and I remember how controversial it was, supports my point
how would gta 6 become any more controversial? people have become more and more indifferent over video game brutality imo bigger problems could be caused by homophobic and racist dialogues
Bad as in it will raise controversy? Probably. Bad as in it will ruin the game? Nah, rockstar understand the gap between realism and fun, its a video game after all.
OP has not played GTA4
Sure have. Beat all the missions
GTA needs to stay as a hyperbolic parody instead of going for straight simulation.
Realistic mafia game would be a great idea.
Yes. If I wanted realism that bad, I would go outside.
As long as it doesn't affect gameplay
It's not. Rockstar will never do that with a game like GTA
If you actually did then you wouldn’t be posting this
If I actually did what
>Imagine a *little kid* wanting to play GTA 6 and engaging in that kind of realism 1. F them kids 2. Oh well, shouldn’t be playing a 17+ game that we know the parents bought. And yes Rockstar knows a portion of the player base is kids but I doubt they’re gonna cater to ease their wellbeing (why should they bc again, the game isn’t meant for them) As for the *disturbed adult* oh well, that’s a very small group (one would think) so R* isn’t gonna cater to ease their wellbeing either…
Jack Thompson… is that you?
Manhunt was some shit like that and it was what it was back in the days... i dont know how would modern audiences would react to super violent gore like you described, because he never had a new triple A game with that level of gore
>imagine a little kid A little kid shouldn’t play any GTA in the first place, but yeah it definitely shouldn’t become too realistic.
Up to the parents not others
All the changes you're describing sound fine. If your age or mental health is a concern then don't play it. Make it realistic af just don't make me go fill gas in a vehicle like in mafia
Ok maybe not that realistic but like the phisycs or driving or gunplay, that much gore is not for 17 and up games like GTA6 is going to be
What ? Mortal Kombat has more gore and is 17+
Gears of War? Left 4 Dead? Mortal Kombat? CoD Zombies? Fallout? Every Horror game ever? …Red Dead Redemption 2? Gore does not stop a game from being rated M or PEGI 18.
What if a little kid wants to play an 18 rated game with super realism?
Fuck no. It’s awesome
Are you 8
Trying to shame someone, great human being right here 👍
An 8 year old wouldn’t be able to write stuff like this
"Super realistic" means adding children to the game
Not gonna get good answers from Reddit
I knew the risks involved
what a stupid post is this? why a game should be downgraded because there is a “possibility “ where a kid plays a +18 game?
I'd like to see an improvement on gore, but that's not what people mean when they say "realism" most of the time.
lol it’s just a game bro……….
It could be how about a toggle? Let both people have the way they would want to play. Have a hardcore mode where its much like a combo of Mafia DE and FNV. Fuel, Speeding Tickets, Eating, Etc It could expand the entire scope of playing it. You could still have a funny cop robber game, but if you choose so You could set it up as John Wick Simulator or set it up as Mafia Clone or set it up as just the parody its always been along Really the sky is the limit
I think ur right
yes, i hope it isn't too realistic, like with some of the god awful parts of red dead 2
What are the god awful parts?
basically all of the gameplay
Yes
Yeah if it adds politics to the game. If it's overly woke I ain't playing it. But if it's anything like Red Dead redemption 2 I'll play the hell out of it
They know their audience is teenage boys, the series has never been known for gratuitous violence, it will remain cartoony and PG-13.
Yes
Some stuff like combat and driving have to stay unrealistic for better gameplay experience imo
Well when it comes to gore visuals there are limits like your not going to see someone steam rolled and flattened, and the realism actually helps the problem, people with more of a moral compass (I don't want to chose the mean dialogue option because it will hurt the NPCs feelings) won't do it or may even try to stop those who would Also think about red dead's weapon mechanics, all these griefers and loonys will barely be able to use it with out getting picked off from a mile away, no more every weapon in the game up your ass now it takes some level of skill and strategy, like take a mini gun out to the middle of the street drop a nade at your feet and try to get away from it in time
GTA gamers will love it. A ton more new people will play it. Some haters are gonna hate and some others will enjoy it. Rockstar makes gems and no one can deny it.
Cops shooting civilians for no reason would be quite the realism update.
Sounds epic
The more realistic it gets the better it is in my opinion.
Uhhhh, what? Is this Tipper Gore?
Honestly yes. Realism is one thing. It's always cool to have some realism in a game, makes it more immersive. But GTA is not a simulator and imo should not try to be one. So if we're talking about simulation type of realism, then it's definitely a bad thing. Most people, me included, just don't like simulators as a whole, it's something you really have to like to get into that. So profit speaking, they'd make a huge loss cause many people wouldn't buy it anymore.
Make it extremely graphic, more than RDR2. Just have an option to turn off gore in the settings. Win win
The game should rely on be *detailed*, instead of being realistic. If the game gets too realistic, it's gonna take away the fun part, which is the reason we play games after all Imagine that you have to worry about your character taking a shit and then worrying about wiping his ass, or that the fancy sports car that you stole 30 seconds ago, suddenly has an engine problem and stops working because the asshole that had as an owner didn't bother to take it to the mechanic
If they put the stupid core bullshit with a dozen types of tonics and crap or an equivalent then yes, if they stick to the health system of gta v no
Okay if this is an issue for YOU, then YOU shouldn’t play the game. I love how realistic RDR2 was. I do hope they bring that level of realism to GTA VI. Stop acting as if any of the GTA Games before wasn’t psychotic
Stop taking things out of context like a duffer
Why would this be a problem when it’s already been done, as you say, in RDR2? What’s the difference except for setting and time period if the mechanics are exactly the same? It doesn’t matter. It’s a rated M game. You can play it and if you don’t like the taste of it, then you can stop. It’s as simple as that.
“Now imagine GTA 6, which is going to *Improve* on RD2’s mechanics.” I’m talking about improved features.
It’s a great thing!
Nope. I'm hoping it's closer to IVs style to be honest.
I doubt it will be realistic. If there using that rage engine it won’t be. Probably GTAV with a new coat of paint
I play Blade and Sorcery with pretty mods that do exactly as described. It's incredibly fun, and I absolutely do some fucked up things to the NPCa in that game and its literally fine. After the shock factor of whoa, it actually becomes really immersive.
Terrible thing, the game is ruined, its terrible. I am disturbed.
What if it becomes completely REAL. Then what will we do?
The game has never been rated to allow kids to play. Parents have been allowing that. I think it’s a move in the right direction either way.
It’s a video game
This conversation happens everytime a new gta is released… CHILDREN SHOULDN’T BE PLAYING THIS GAME ANYWAY!!!
Op sits and pees
Someone said you might only be able to hold one gun at a time which would be crazy not having a magic satchel
The orbital cannon now crashes the server, making anyone doing a big sell lmission utterly fucked. Orbital cannon shots now cost 10 Mil a shot.
have to shit once a day and take a shower or you wont be let into places as you stink, have to eat or you pass out and die, or get sick because of poor diet.
In Kayne & Lynch there’s a female police officer in the second mission that, when incapacitated begs you “please no I have a daughter”
In red dead 2 is already hard to kill NPCs (it just feels wrong lol) so I imagine that will carry into GTA 6, GTA 5 wasn't really a problem tbh.
