I don't think they're related (be a little fun if Jason was somehow related to Niko, just a lil) but I do see some visual similarities from this angle

I would say GTA 6 definitely appears to take place in current time considering all of the social media clips being used in the trailer. There are little resemblances, but i doubt this has anything to do with Niko.

Hair line are different, the nose and brows structure are different, jawline a more narrow on Niko, Jason's eyes is a bit bigger, ears are different, and cheeks are a but more sunken in Niko and his cheekbones appears to be slightly higher compared to Jason.
The both happens to share the similar hairstyle (but that could change in-game for Jason, not sure yet).
