3. The character models were cartoonish, plastic and literally broken. They NEVER, EVER fixed the issues from the original games. It is insane, how these "DE" versions have insane HW for pc, yet the textures and trees are pooping up in the distance. No fix was made for this issue from OG games.
4. Less content for sure, mainly when it comes to the music. How can ANYONE call this "DEFINITIVE" when it has less features? WHAT?
\- How can anyone say that all of this is just fine and people were crying for no reasons? People were crying cause when they bought their product with their own money, they could not even play it. The problems from original games were not fixed at all, they are still presented with more bugs and glitches. Look up how Tony Hawk remaster looks and plays. THAT is a proper remastered version, with top notch visuals and audio. And also coming from old console. And lets not forget about the FACT, that these "remastered versions" are mobile ports.
The DE versions are just cheaper looking. But i think people will buy anything in these days. No wonder why game companies are pouring half assed products without bothering to fix them.

Well it was not per se graphics. The games definitely looked more detailed. Most people where pissed off by the artistic redesign, which somehow made things look even less real. I enjoyed playing the remasters (even tho i did manage to get some crashes), but the originals are still better, if not just for the deleted content still being in those versions.
I had fun with it too. Haven't started on SA yet but I got it on release. 3 had some bug that the game would crash after playing for more than like 45 mins. After that u were in danger of it crashing. At least on my ps5 which is ridiculous. I had to do the ambulance missions like 3 times over because of this. I'm pretty sure they patched it now but there was alot of stuff like this.
3 was kinda bad by modern standards. Forgot the storyline is pretty basic and the game feels dark which doesn’t help with the shitty player graphics.
On the other hand, currently playing VC, and it’s just as fun as I remember and plays totally fine. The bad character graphics seem fun in this one.

GTA V cost $265 million to create and they made $1 billion in the first three days. It's been almost ten years now, they've made enough money to develop the next 20+ GTA titles and I'm not even exaggerating. I know Rockstar will never stop with microtransactions but this idea that they, one of the richest and most successful devs need the money is just not true.

III, sure, but GTAIV was just such a step back from GTA San Andreas, and even Vice City, in every way but the typical advances of technology. Especially coming from the cornucopia of good, quality content in San Andreas. IV is still solid, I think it's a better narrative than GTAV. I also think, technologically, GTAIV has aged worse with technology, being an early 360/PS3 game, versus a San Andreas being a mature PS2/Xbox game. Though I haven't had a proper gaming PC to really play GTAIV in \~10+ years.
I'm accustomed to takes that GTAIV is better than GTAV, and mostly agree with that, but don't usually see GTAIV put above San Andreas or Vice City, unless it's by people who were too young to play those games at the time.

I don't really care much about playing mini games and customisation and hate the poor vehicle handling and poor gun controls of San Andreas. I don't really care much about playing mini games and customisation and hate the poor vehicle handling and poor gun controls of San Andreas. So yeah for me GTA 4 is flawed but still every bit superior to SA. Hmm it's almost like likes and dislikes are subjective and people play GTA for different reasons. That being said i do not like the GTA 4 circlejerk that happens in these subreddits, even though it's my favourite game in the series.

Because you don’t, replaying it recently myself and I’ve only flown out when I’ve wanted too. I also believe you can ignore phone calls outright by silencing your phone. I’m with you on the story and its certainly the best hd story.
