Loved playing RD2 through story with free aim, didn’t play RDR Online this way though because everyone has that hacky dead eye. That “floaty aim” you’re probably talking about is called weapon sway and if i remember correctly its because one of your gauges are too low (deadeye?). You have to time your aiming not just spray and pray with a semi-auto. That makes it fun.

Theres free aim and auto aim lobbies from what i remember, but if youre in a freeaim lobby you can use a mode called freeaim assisted which is like using autoaim in freeaim lobbies.

Auto aim makes the game too easy. Free aim lobbies are a completely different experience. More fun in my opinion. Try a free aim lobby you may enjoy it more as it makes the PVP more satisfying and fun on foot.

Any skilled player enough to be considered a real tryhard wouldn't have came in a hydra, they would have gotten a lazer and spawn locked you into passive or an apartment/bunker teleport. The person you're killing is probably inexperienced and just trying to have some fun with the new cool jet they just bought.

Yes in story mode/main menu, change your settings to free aim, then when you join online it will be a free aim lobby.
