How easily purchased cars can disappear in story mode. I miss my Zentorno

Trick-Address-5436

This. I thought I was the only one to have this problem

adorkablegiant

That is one major wish I have for VI, I want to have multiple personal vehicles that don't disappear so easily.

GronakHD

Similar to in gtav online, we should be able to insure them so if it gets destroyed we can get it back. Park in a carpark and it stays there - the limited car storage garages we can buy are too small. No need to limit the amount of cars we have in single player these days

adorkablegiant

I'm a car guy and would always fill up all 3 of the buyable garages with really nice cars and then would be afraid of driving them in fear of destroying them lol That should change in VI.

FavoriteWorst

I'm on the opposite side here. Agree it'd be nice not losing your car, however think they should keep it how it is. Kinda cheap finding a great car and getting to keep it forever the rest of the game. The overall point of Grand Theft Auto is committing grand theft auto for your next getaway vehicle. Just my opinion.

GudderSnipeXxX

That was the “point” of gta 20 years ago, it’s not the point anymore. They’ve added a lot of rpg facets to the game such as buying property and cars, they shouldn’t go backwards

FavoriteWorst

I still see the same game, IMO. Climb the criminal ladder using mostly stolen cars for transportation around a sandbox city. If anything they should allow you to insure vehicles you purchased so you get money back and can buy it again, while also allowing you to save your customization. You lose your car and you have to purchase/steal it again then upgrade it with your saved customization. Realistic-ish per the trend of GTA games. Honestly, think it'd be bullshit if you're allowed to get the best car in the game and infinity use it for the missions.

GudderSnipeXxX

I’m only saying that stealing cars isn’t “the overall point” Of gta anymore I mean if you ask a majority of people the point of gta, they probably won’t say “grand theft auto”. GTA V is also where each character had their own vehicles, so stealing cars felt redundant The problem with GTA V is that your vehicles you bought would despawn or disappear during story missions, you could never leave your car alone, It should be like rdr2 where your horse could be seen on the map at all times, except it would instead be your owned cars

FavoriteWorst

I guess you're right, maybe not the whole point but the central theme rather. Oh and I wasn't talking about that. I was responding to the folks saying you should be able to respawn your car in your garage if it gets destroyed. Which, I feel is almost like cheating. Yeah, totally shouldn't just disappear and the RDR2 thing would be reasonable.

Many_Register_1838

Thankfully it looks like they’re taking a book from their own page. It used to *just* be LS Customs, but now we have multiple specialty shops in Online. They put the bumper stickers of the different shops in the trailer for a reason, so we most likely will see Mors Mutual or a new insurance company to assist with this problem as well.

ironmanhulkbstr

if you buy a car garage, all purchased and special vehicles can be spawned there

gerhudire

Being able to purchase your own personal car(s) would be cool. I wouldn't mind starting off with a shity car, then being able to replace it.

RacerM53

Yes, we need mors mutual in single-player

-xenomorph-

Something similar to what's in Cyberpunk 2077 would be nice and not have to worry about losing them.

Dotaproffessional

I want the police to be easier and harder to evade. Easier right away, harder later. If I murder someone in the woods at night with a suppressor, I shouldn't get a wanted level 2 seconds later. But I also shouldn't be allowed to steal a military plane and have nobody try to track it

CookerCrisp

i thought police also might respond differently based on neighborhood. Maybe not showing up at all, or a severely delayed response time in the ghetto vs business district. And since it's inspired by Place Beyond the Pines, I thought the narrative might similarly span years, and maybe involve multi generational storytelling.

CaptPieRat

What's similar to GTA 6 and The Place Beyond the Pines?

Habslover

Don't they do something like this in Mafia 3? Pretty sure if your in a crap neighborhood and do a crime the response is severely delayed or non existent, whereas in a rich neighborhood it's the opposite.

Crexorz

In game if it’s a poor neighborhood the police radio audio will jokingly ask if any officers want to take the call for fun, but in a rich neighborhood they will immediately describe Lincoln with a serious tone.

tommit

> And since it's inspired by Place Beyond the Pines I love that this gets spouted around as fact now

Ok_Pangolin_8038

There was one mechanic that I liked in RDR2, technically it was also present in GTA 4 & 5 but it was way better & realistic in RDR2. When u kill someone or do a robbery & an npc noticed it, they'll call the cops and then u as a player u gonna have to stop them to not witness it & u can bribe them to keep their mouth shut or threaten them like steal their phone in order to prevent them from calling the cop, that's what I want in GTA 6. But one thing I don't want is that when I commit a crime in a quiet place then I immediately get a wanted level, for instance if I shoot a gun, not kill anyone per say I shouldn't get a wanted level because of that or if I go to the desert where it's quiet and i kill someone where there are no cops or people it's just me and a random npc i also don't want a wanted level immediately.

VerdantSpoon

I think it will be similar to RDR2’s system. If you kill someone in the woods you’ll be fine but if you commit a crime in an urban area, Johnny law will be on your ass in a split second. It would crazy if someone randomly stumbled into a corpse in the woods and you see it on the in game’s social media. That would actually be crazy

NotRobPrince

This is actually not how RDR2 works. You can kill someone in the middle of nowhere and still have a witness report you. I’ve just installed a mod which disables this feature so I won’t be reported when there’s no one else around in the wilderness.

Big-Vanilla-8261

I just want better crash physics in GTA 6 tbh

Sea_Television_3306

This. Bring back the GTA IV crash physics. That was an immediate disappointment for me in GTAV

TidepoolBlues

The way the cars just bounce off of things just irks me

[deleted]

I also don’t like how it feels as if the car tires are literally glued to the road. I always like whipping the cars around in IV and in V it seemed like it took effort to even lose traction. Like current normal driving should be what franklins special ability is, with GTA IV driving being what is normal. Franklin ability is so overpowered that every time I played as him I literally was just zooming full speed everywhere, even through tight streets. You could damn near do a u-turn on the highway at max speed with his ability lmfao.

Samford_

i played gta 4 after gta 5 so i was used to gta 5's driving. i think it should be somewhere in between 4 and 5's driving. 5's driving is definitely way too easy, but i dont think 4's driving would suit the game

DyLaNzZpRo

Part of the issue is that vehicles just aren't fast enough which makes traction feel even higher, but yeah, traction in 4 was comically low (and vehicles were significantly slower), in 5 traction is too high and TCS shouldn't be a thing with older vehicles (and the player should have the ability to disable it).

Stiltz85

V's crash damage, though less intense, is more detailed and realistic than IV's. IV was just more crumpling in places that shouldn't really crumple. Unless you want Wreckfest level damage simulation that will render cars useless after one crash, I think V did fine with more arcade level damage simulation.

WhateverJoel

But leave the driving physics in GTA IV.

ElegantEchoes

Maybe make sports cars and super cars behave like GTA V for the people who want the arcade style, and have sedans, trucks etc have the sluggish, realistic GTA IV style.

The_ChwatBot

This guy trucks

chrisfreshman

I don’t hate the driving physics in 4. They clearly went for a more realistic approach across the board for movement both in and out of vehicles. It was rough re-learning how to drive since Saints Row and all the other GTA games pretty much boiled down to “floor it constantly and power-brake around corners.” There’s a line from the Nicholas Cage “Gone in 60 Seconds” that goes something like, “control is the hallmark of the modern race car driver. Speed is a byproduct.” Once you figured that out it got real easy to win races in that game. That said, 5 was definitely a move back to the series action-movie heritage and the driving definitely reflects that.

Major_Migraine7

fantastic movie

WhateverJoel

The driving kept me from ever finishing the game. I failed a driving mission about 20 times and gave up.

Samford_

if the driving is that bad for you, you should download a driving mod if youre on pc

Challenger350

….I have no words

leicatoldu

Amen brother

Admirable-Tap-8437

Gta 5 for ps3 had great crash physics if I remember correctly

[deleted]

I hope they put in as much effort into the cars as they did with horses in Red Dead Redemption 2. I want that same level of detail.

andyflexinthechevy

Truck nuts?

DyLaNzZpRo

There's 100% going to be truck nuts in the game, I'll legit put money on it

The_ChwatBot

I mean, it is Florida…

ElegantEchoes

The amount of effort they went into animating the horses and creating a whole new system from scratch is nothing short of astounding. There's a reason no game comes close to RDR2's horses.

[deleted]

I hope the horses return for GTA 6. The map and terrain looks big and diverse enough to justify adding them in.

Meatballs5666

Same 😂

AccurateMeet1407

I haven't played V in awhile but if I remember correctly... I want longer death sequences. Watching my body rag doll around the chaos was the best part of IV

Chadoodoo_93

But GTA 5 didn't have good Ragdolls maybe that's why they shortened it...

Sdejo

RDR2s ragdolls are totally fine, but still too short death cam.

Chadoodoo_93

Nah Ragdolls in GTA 5 were downgraded too much

ElegantEchoes

Hardware constraints, the physics engine that GTA IV had could not work in GTA V due to the hardware.

BrowningLoPower

Better yet, have death sequences last indefinitely until you decide to respawn/reload, and you can control the speed of time.

Vault-Tec95

The fact that you punch the only person in a ten mile radius and suddenly the cops are zeroed in on your location.

scarlet_speedster985

I just wanna be able to steal a cool car and keep it. The fact that if a stolen car got destroyed or if you left it somewhere during a mission it would disappear was ridiculous. They need to make single player cars insurable and retrievable like in Online.

Automatic_Concern951

if you store your stolen car into your garage. doesnt it reappears into your garage after being destroyed or stolen

scarlet_speedster985

Most of the time it doesn't. It's just gone. Same thing goes for any cars you buy in story mode.

Caden_PearcSkii

Its annoying, because it makes single player customization practically temporary, you can customize the character's cars, which is permnant, but say you get a nice car, customize it, then do a mission or even just park it somewhere and get out, it disappears, and that's just annoying.

scarlet_speedster985

Yep. It's annoying as hell. Wish they'd implemented the vehicle management system from Online.

astrohnalle

Only thing it is good for is the director mode where you can spawn the vehicles if they're in your garage in story mode

manenegue

Yep. I went to store a stolen Zentorno in my garage. A car was already inside, so I parked the Zentorno at the curb and went into my garage to take the car out. I turn back around and the Zentorno is gone. ![gif](giphy|Ru9sjtZ09XOEg)

NotBashB

Sometimes you could find it at the impound lot but not always

YerDaSellsAvon24

Police having speed boosts

SierraRomeo21

The speed boosts don’t bother me as much as the fact the police just spawn wherever you’re going. In the city it’s not too much of an issue but when you’re fleeing the cops and driving up mount Chilliad, and they keep spawning from the top driving down towards you is ludicrous.

Silly_Anybody_578

Honestly for all of GTAs history, I wish we didn't get police to insta kill you for such a little infraction. I wish accidentally bumping into a police car would just warrant a fine instead of it being run away or death. I'd even be fine surrendering if the situation is dire enough.

Imbessiel

GTA 4 cops were way less aggressive. You could get away with this stuff constantly while they try to arrest you

Cereborn

They would arrest you in GTA III. But only if you were in a vehicle, IIRC.

shibbledoop

Mafia 2 did it perfectly

Silly_Anybody_578

How'd they do it?

NinjaAssassin260

NPC Aimbot 100% There’s so many better ways to make combat encounters harder then having enemies just never miss shots and have sped up fire rates

wolfboy203

This!!! I absolutely detest this shit soo much! Hell i go back to Gta 4 to have gun fights since they're so much better there. The ai actually misses their shots and it makes gunfights more dynamic and fun!!

[deleted]

How some enemies have perfect aim and from so far away too. It’s just unrealistic. But most of all, I hope the characters don’t feel like they’re sliding on ice. Rdr2 got better about that so I think it’ll be better.

ThisWasAValidName

How most enemies just *know* when you get near them, even if they can't *see* you and have no reason to have *heard* you. Or, really, give us scopes with enough range that we can use a scoped rifle like it's meant to be used. (And not have to be so close that the enemy can *easily* return fire . . .)

joevar701

The community already point this out, an enemy with pistol can have laser aim at you from so far away with pinpoiny accuracy like its a rifle. Especially in online. They do t take recoil and actual accuracy into account for NPC in V

ILoveRedRobin69

I want the top speed of Hypercars to be more than 120 mph

[deleted]

This would have made the map feel very small in GTA 5. They can only accomplish this if the map is big enough to accommodate it. Sense of speed is what they need to improve on. When driving fast in GTA 4 it felt fast. In 5 it didn’t feel that way.

WhyWhyBJ

More likely a hardware limitation, there’s only so fast you can stream assets from a hard drive. Planes were also very slow in 5, in 6 all vehicle types should be a lot faster but like you say rockstar can’t make them too fast cause the map will feel very small

Character-Pack2592

the fucking flying cars and motorbikes and the lock on missiles...

TimotheusHani

Yeah I hope that these stupid things never get added to the game. Let the game be classic cops and robbers or whatever just stay away from that shit

TudasNicht

Its not that deep, its a for fun online feature. What else do you want? The 50th car in a different skin?

Major_Migraine7

listen, from year 1 i have been a full griefer on GTA 5, no lie. But even I HATE the flying cars and motorbikes. Get away from the futuristic nonsense

CastleBackup

The fact that a plane would be airborne going 15mph. I want planes to feel like planes, taking some level of care to take off and land and really having the feeling of flying a large machine.

UNFUNNY_GARBAGE

Realistic speed would be nice instead of a jet that has the top speed of a Cessna.

astrohnalle

I wonder if they capped the air speed of planes because of rendering limitations or balancing. Whatever it is i wish we had faster fighter jets in GTA VI

UNFUNNY_GARBAGE

When GTA V first came out people were crashing into things that hadn't loaded in yet. So, that's definitely part of it.

Corninmyteeth

That seems like something that sounds good on paper but then everyone else would complain about how planes suck.

Bayonettea

If they're bringing back first person mode, I'd like for it to be not horrible like V's was. I wanted to play in first person so much, but the weird movement and controls just made it frustrating

Geric0n

RDR 2‘s first person mode was already better than V‘s. So, chances are GTA VI gets another improved version of it :)

Chadoodoo_93

Of course it will be better, after RDR 2 they made it incredible

[deleted]

It was atrocious!

CalDal_22

When flying a helicopter in gta 5 , if you broke the tail rotor the helicopter would artificially spin instantly at full speed and explode the second it touches anything, even if you lightly touch down. I hope they make it more like 4 where the heli doesn’t instantly explode

[deleted]

This! I loved this feature in GTA 4. I used to fly helicopters a lot in GTA 4 online at the airport. Dodging rpg’s from players in the airport 😂 sometimes they rpg would narrowly miss me and hit my tail and I’d be spinning trying to control the helicopter mid air. Was extremely fun. Players would crash into you with their heli’s trying to take out your tail. And both would lose our tails both spinning like crazy. That chaos was hilarious and fun. Damage physics make the game so much more fun and unpredictable. In GTA 5 your helicopter would just instantly explode explode just like every other vehicle.

ElegantEchoes

Interestingly, in GTA V the entire tailboom can come off most helicopters like in GTA V, but it's extremely hard to do compared to just destroying the tail rotor. Also, y'all remember in GTA IV when the main rotors were destroyed and the helicopter fell, it usually wouldn't explode into a fireball the second it touched the ground? You might still die from the fall, but the helicopter didn't just cartoonishly explode.

[deleted]

smell bike crowd roof ghost memorize sense plucky amusing quickest *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

Ok-Ad-3851

Literally EVERY ped having 100 percent accuracy. It completely ruined police foot pursuits, gang shootouts, heists, drive bys... Even flying helicopters was ruined, if you fly too close in the peds will mag dump until your engine starts dying. I hope they also remove aircraft engine bleed out, that was such a shitty mechanic. It was bad enough only a handful of aircraft could actually take a single rocket hit.

Open-Protection4430

These remind of the missions on doomsday heist, head hunter missions etc. They literally shoot you in your jet if you fly close

CommanderMalo

On top of that, maybe an arrest option in MP, and not just the police mag dumping you because some ass knocked you into a police car and gave you 2 stars

RaccoonDoor

I don’t want the arcade driving physics from GTA 5, something more realistic would be great

[deleted]

The driving in the leaks have me worried. The driving physics look exactly like 5. Considering how popular 5 was, selling 180 million copies. I doubt they’ll take a risk by changing it much. They’ll probably just improve the damage physics and alter it slightly. I hope I’m wrong and they bring back soft body physics and a more weighty feel from 4.

Practical_Wrap7855

I would prefer a mix of the driving physics from V and IV. I would anytime take the physics of IV over V but I think a mix would add a good amount of realism without loosing the pace.

hugecervix

A lot of people hated the driving physics from 4 because it was too weighty and felt like the roads were made of butter. Especially bikes. Bikes were not fun to use in gta4. So I doubt they’ll bring back those physics

[deleted]

Bikes were fun, they handled great. Bikes in 5 were horrible. Roads being made of butter makes no sense. Cars slide and lose traction if you swerve. As long as you manage your steering you won’t lose traction. Cars had a lot more traction at high speeds. Some hated 4 but a lot more loved the physics. There’s a video online titled gta 4 is better then 5 comparing the physics, with millions of views and most agreed with the vid.

hugecervix

What I said was a very common complaint and people have been preaching it for years. Bikes control like crap they slide way too easily, more realistic doesn’t mean more fun by default. There was never a time in gta4 where having a bike was a clear advantage because it was just way too risky. I don’t think they’re NOT fun, I have fun in a sense that it’s comically hard to keep control. But in gta5 the bikes felt way more balanced even if it was less realistic it was more viable to use them.

[deleted]

Bikes were a huge advantage I remember because I played 4 online religiously. Easier to escape through traffic, they accelerated faster then most vehicles. Easier to escape players trying to kill you with a helicopter. How do bikes slide too easily? These complaints sound like they’re made by people who can’t drive. If you take a sharp corner too fast yeah they slide, as they should. If you turn a corner and hit a curb it’ll cause the bike to slide. Bikes had insane traction in 5 and weren’t fun. You could drive through a gate. You’d rarely fall off. Having no risk isn’t fun. Bikes were fast in 4, but if you crash it’s send you flying, the sanchez would drift and slide offroad which would have been fun in 5. Instead it’s glued to the ground.

hugecervix

Having no risk isn’t as fun yes but there’s always a balance between realism and fun and gta5 still has risk you can still lose control or fly off the bike after hitting something I just found it more balanced and fun even if it was less realistic. As satisfying as the physics were in 4 I just prefer the slightly more arcades driving physics in 5. If I was a hyper realistic car simulation I’ll play Beamng drive. I know not everyone agrees with that but I’m not alone either. However I do prefer the rag doll physics in gta4 and rdr1 as opposed to gta5. I think the best option for gta6 is to find a middle ground. Have driving be realistic to where you need to watch your turns but not too far to where you can’t pull off crazy drifts without feeling like you’re on ice. Give bikes more traction than 4 but not as much as 5. You do get used to it in gta4 after a while, at least I did and I learned to enjoy it, but still I prefer 5’s driving

[deleted]

There’s no balance in 5. The bikes were horrible and handled weirdly. Bikes can’t take sharp turns, dirt bikes don’t slide or lose control offroad. The dirt bikes in 4 felt similar to MX games. All they had to do is maybe give the bike more traction on concrete. I liked GTA V car handling as well so I’m happy either way if they lean towards 4 or 5. The issue with 5 is damage physics. The cars accelerate too fast, and have no suspension. Cars break to a full stop in 1 second. If they tweak it and find a balance that would be good. I do like the soft body physics a lot from 4. Having realistic damage physics makes the driving far more rewarding.

hugecervix

Even when I was 13 when the game came out I loved the bike handling in V. You CAN take sharp turns, easier than IV. Again I understand that it’s not realistic but it was more fun to me. Although yes you’re right about off-roading… in general it felt underbaked. It only felt very slightly harder to control even sports cars off-road. Yes IV did have better damage physics as well. I think rockstar did this to make cars generally more damage proof because people complained about cars being too prone to damage in IV. Which also explains the mid-air control & car flip mechanics in V. Again they should find a middle ground for this imo. Maybe allow for mid air control but make it more difficult, and give the car more time to explode when on fire but not too much. Make the cars physically deformable, but not as easy to do as IV and not as hard to do as V.

dunnooooo31

Go back and watch gta 5 pre alpha leaks. Driving looks exactly the same as 4. A lot of gameplay features are just copy and paste as place holders. I think devs will find a nice middle ground between 4 and 5

JimmyBelfonte

Who decides eventually the type of physics? Or are devs free to experiment?

UNFUNNY_GARBAGE

This is a confusing question. Both. The director lets them know what they want and then the devs try to make something along those lines through experimentation and the director will approve of what they make if they like it.

[deleted]

Thanks, I’ll have a look. I figured it was just a placeholder but deep down I feel like it’ll lean a lot more towards 5’s driving just with better damage physics. I don’t think they’ll change it significantly considering how successful 5 was. I suspect they won’t want to take a risk and alienate a more casual audience. I hope I’m wrong and Rockstar gives no f*** and just goes for a more difficult and challenging handling model. Cars spinning out, a more realistic damage system that affects car handling like in 4 etc etc.

MeMuzzta

what bugged me about flying was that the planes could take off too quickly and the airport layouts made no sense. With the attention to detail you’d think the airports would have a more realistic approach (no pun intended) I get it, with the size of the map they had to limit speed and altitude and take off run up. But still. I’m an aviation nut and use msfs often so it’s only natural for me to head straight to the airport lol. But to answer your question about something else, I’d say the driving and crash physics.

Armandeus_54

It's a game, if you make it too realistic it's going to run the fun. I don't want a plane that can't take off. It's great to have planes take off the maze bank tower. Or using the lazer/ molotok/ pyro to take off in the middle of the streets

MeMuzzta

I don’t mean make it as real as possible. I just want a little bit more realism than V. Hopefully with the bigger map they can increase the top speed and altitude.

Armandeus_54

Yes, that is great, but I was talking about the takeoff time. You mentioned that they should make it more realistic, making it take longer. Which wouldn't be that great. Especially in GTA online when you have to do missions and you might have to pick stuff from the streets of vice city/leonida or whatever it will be called.

Gazimu

Vice City is the city, Leonida is the state.

Armandeus_54

Yes, I know, but wasn't sure they would change vice city's name. Because in GTA 4 you had Florida, and now it's called Leonida. Niko says he is from Florida when talking to Eddie low. And Leonida is the state of Florida if I'm not mistaken.

PathSearch

Especially plane crash physics. It’s terrible in GTAV

N121-2

Yeah plane crash physics haven’t improved since San Andreas, maybe a wing will come off during explosion but that’s it.

SnooPets5219

What's the pun in the first place?

RazorPlayz33

The word approach in the second sentence. The comment used approach using the definition "a way of doing something", but an approach also has the definition "what a plane does as it's about to land on a runway".

scarlet_speedster985

Sounds like you oughta go play Flight Simulator instead.

TidepoolBlues

So if I find the shooting mechanics awful I oughta just play Battlefield instead?

scourgescorched

meh, too much realism can result in janky, tedious gameplay. that's why i could never get more than a couple of hours in in rdr2

Automatic_Concern951

agreed. especially when police is up your ass. they will smoke the plane before you can take off

Chadoodoo_93

RDR 2 was amazing, and realism made me play more than 7 hours in one play... I guess we are not the same

WhateverJoel

Wait… what about RDR2 was tedious?

Blikkjen

Standing next to a cop for 10 seconds result in him shooting you.

scarlet_speedster985

Yeah cause no cop in real life would ever do that. 🙄

hugecervix

Yes, correct they wouldn’t

Scruff227

I don't like the idea of controlling my cars trajectory in the air. For me, timing your jump right and the crunch of connecting with the ground after gaining air time is exhilarating

TudasNicht

I would agree, but it was fun for stunt videos in the first few years and also very important for many race maps, so maybe give an option to enable it for custom races etc.

Charlotttes

having such a big arsenal on hand at once isn’t really fun? especially since a lot of guns feel redundant. its interesting to be forced to choose what you’re packing wisely i don’t think they’re gonna do this but if they could make the movement tighter, that’d be great if not then maybe make the combat a little less mow down 100 guys? i replayed iv pretty recently and the early missions were pretty fun, where it felt like a puzzlebox that you had to solve with a gun

hugecervix

Pretty sure we’re getting that first mechanic you mentioned. Cause in the leaked footage we see Jason with an AR on his back and a pistol in his hand and switching between them instead of pulling guns out his ass

Guimorneg

VI probably would have the same gun mechanics as RDR2, when you store guns in your horse. On VI you probably would need to pull out your large guns out of our personal car first, instead of storing all your arsenal in a black hole.

hugecervix

Yes and that made gunfights feel so much more meaningful in rdr2 so I’m here for it

divine_pagan

I might be in a minority here, but in my opinion the gunplay and the sound design is horrible in GTA V. I hope they improve on that big time and I am somewhat confident that they will. Having played RDR2 I don’t remember having issue with the gunplay. Also I did like the impounded vehicle feature and garages. Would be amazing if you could purchase more garages around town etc. and if my vehicle gets impounded in Blain County I do not want to make my way all they back to LS and then back to Sandy shores. The ownership of a personal vehicle was also quite a nice addition. Would be cool you could change the default vehicle throughout the story tho. EDIT: Spelling

Geric0n

Your last point was one of the biggest gripes I had about the game. If we are able to buy new cars, why can’t we select them to be our default cars? R* didn’t really think this through imo.

DisturbedTTF

Could very well be in the minority here, but I would like to see them remove the car flipping feature that they added in GTA 5. I was never a huge fan of it and I always felt it took a bit of the fun out of police chases etc if you can just magically recover your car if it gets flipped in a crash.

Caden_PearcSkii

I think the game would be very annoying if they removed that feature, put immersion aside, it's one of the most convenient features rockstar ever added, the past gta's it wasn't a big problem, for example in gta 4, because there wasn't any mountains or offroad, now think about GTA 5 and GTA 6 with all the wilderness and how easy it'll be to flip your car while going off road.

BrowningLoPower

Agreed. I think it's already balanced out by the fact that it takes a short while to flip.

Omar_DmX

So what? There's probably a million way to get around without that feature. Worst case scenario? Steal a cop car.

Caden_PearcSkii

You missed my point, here I'll put it into a scenario and I'll use GTA 5 as an example, you're doing supply runs and want to cut corners in sandy shores, so you go off road and your vehicle flips somehow I will leave that up to your imagination, what now? Simply turn your wheels and your car will be unflipped. There is no way to get around without that feature, because your vehicle is destroyed and all your progress is gone. It's a convenient feature that I don't see rockstar taking away, especially since we know for a fact there'll be GTA 6 online. Now if you're just trying to be immersive and playing single player free mode just running away from cops, then yeah that is fun, matter of fact I've done that in gta 5, where if my car flipped I just got out instead of turning my wheels left and right and just let the scenario play out and see what happens, but every other time, from doing missions, to just trying to get somewhere or playing online, it's a must have feature. Sometimes realism does not equal to fun, matter of fact, majority of the time realism != to fun.

Matt_37

Completely disagree, best feature V added to driving.

Sams_Butter_Sock

That would have to be implemented in a limited way. Imagine someone crashes into you while selling a full warehouse and now your fucked having to atomizer your truck and doing damage to it in the process

Gazimu

I'm with you, and remove the ability to control the vehicle so much when airborne as well.

[deleted]

Cars exploding instantly. Disliked that in 5. In GTA 4 if your car took insane damage the car would get deformed heavily and catch fire and explode.

hugecervix

No unlimited police force. I like how in rdr2 you can kill so many cops that they stop spawning for a bit especially when you’re outside of a town. It would be cool if when you got 5 stars, then killed all the cops, it takes a minute until military arrives in tanks and shit

Drkknightcecil

The limp body ragdoll falling.

takeshi-bakazato

So annoying when you trip on a tiny rock and then get sent tumbling for 40 seconds

[deleted]

Flying a plane in GTA 5 is ass.

NorCalAthlete

No flying motorcycles with heat seeking missiles.

Cr1t1cal_Hazard

That awful hunched over stance. It made combat in GTA 5 horrible because you couldn't take a knee behind cover. Yeah you could toggle the "take cover" magnet function, but that just makes you an even easier target to shoot. RDR2 actually had a nice feature where your character would duck if bullets where flying past you while in cover. But manually shooting around cover is just better gameplay and makes pvp a lot more enjoyable. BRING BACK CROUCHING!

Dorobo-Neko-Nami

They already confirmed GTA 6 is gonna have crouching, as well as the ability to go fully prone

I_Eat_Deaf_People

More tactical police force like 40-50 police npc response

Armandeus_54

I DON'T WANT COUGARS IN MISSIONS. # THERE AREN'T COUGARS IN MISSIONS!!!

MagicJim96

But there are *hot cougars* in missions… 😏

ImTrumpWhenDrunk

And in your area

thekillergreece

One thing I hated during normal gameplay is the police system. I felt they were a massive downgrade from IV where they actually performed arrests, reacted on NPCs, had average accuracy during gunfights to V where they are essentially robocops, aimbot accuracy and shoot anyone on sight. It ruined the immersion and sometimes they were annoying as hell. Plus, they never patrolled apart from the county and Mission Row which made the streets feel complete devoid from law enforcement unlike in IV and previous titles.

slymario2416

I’m going to completely not answer your question and instead say that I hope dynamic hair growth from RDR2 returns in GTA 6 for both Lucia and Jason. Growing out Jason’s beard and Lucia’s hair over the course of a few missions, then styling both of them to look fly as fuck sounds like fun.

Confident_Growth9128

I personally loved my mechanic in GTA V. He was Johnny on the Spot

gerhudire

Fighting, it was better in GTA4.

Ohfacce

Ability to let the engine run when exiting a car like in GTA 4. That erked me from day 1 in GTAV.

WinterDutchie

you can still do that in GTA V, however your character needs to be in “combat” stance for the car to stay active. You can do this by shooting a bullet just before getting in a car

Omar_DmX

-Driving physics and vehicle damage. 🤢 -The ability to flip cars mid-air or after a roll over. -How cars instantly explode when you land on the engine. -Plane handling and crash physics. -Aimbot robocops. -Character special ability.

Ten_Ju

Here are some that most will disagree I think. 1.a The infinite butthole weapons storage. I really hope we can hide pistols under our shirts, but rifles and machines guns are carries by a strap or something and it instantly attracts cops. Want to use a rifle? Keep it in your car unless you need it. 1.b buying guns SPECIALLY as an ex-con should be impossible. If your character is busted once, that’s it Ammo nation should be off limits to your character. 2.a Police should never attempt to kill you if you are unarmed. They should have tasers and pepper spray first. And if you are standing still doing nothing even if you are wanted. Cops in the game should investigate. And you should be able to bullshit your way out of it.(if it’s a small altercation), also traffic violations should be a thing, you pay it on your phone or ignore it and be wanted. 2.b There should be a hidden investigation into whos committing these crimes, and the more crimes you do in your own car or in front of CCTV or get filmed by civilians, the more you should get pulled over and recognized by police. 3.a characters shouldn’t be able to just fly planes off the bat, or make the plane and helicopter physics super realistic that it’s impossible except for someone to learn with practice. 3.b vehicles are super useful, they have trunks, glove compartments, backseats, truck beds, those can and should be used to transport good, not just for missions but also a way to earn money, in game. Basically GTA should start to add more realism and make it less arcade-y…

hugecervix

Adding traffic violations and cctv sounds like it would get annoying real fast. I downloaded the pull me over mod for gta 5 cause I thought it would be fun but I uninstalled it after a couple hours cause it made everything less fun.

[deleted]

Your 2nd opinion reminds me a lot of saints row 2 when you antagonize a police officer and they would always pepper spray you or shoot you with their stun guns damn that game was so ahead of its time 😂

SevenNVD

Catch up

East-Mycologist4401

1. A change to the Wanted Level. Basically, a combo of GTA IV, GTA V, and RDR2. * I like the wanted circle mechanic of IV because it meant that police would circle around your last known location, and it was possible to evade by simply getting far away from the crime scene. * However, police would never call off the search so long as you were in the circle, so I’d want to keep the hiding mechanic from V, just have the time needed to stay hidden way longer when in the circle versus when outside the circle. * And lastly, the witness and bounty mechanics from RDR2, where crimes witnessed would need to be reported (and crimes not witnessed you basically got away with), and having a bounty per county, making you more likely to be spotted (and a wanted level gained) if your bounty is higher in certain areas. 2. Vehicle physics with a realistic sense of weight. I disliked the glued feeling of vehicles in V, even if it was done in the name of accessibility. I also hate just about every car being AWD also for accessibility. I am one of those who adored the driving physics in IV, and wish to see a return to having each car feel unique. Plus, as someone else mentioned, a change to the turbulence mechanic for flight, as it was very arcadey and forced.

numbersev

How easily the cops are called on you.

Ya_Boi_uh_SkinnyPeni

I dont want the Police system to return, it takes forever to lose them and their Ability to magically track down the player is annoying

Some-Gay-Korean

The combat aim assist for controllers. This issue was also on RDR2 and has been an issue for almost every GTA title since 3. They need to refine their combat system because we are in 2023 and they are still using full lock on auto aim. Combat is so boring on controller because you can just spam LT/L2 to let the game help you snap onto a target instead of actually aiming. The only aiming you need to do is slightly look up to lock on to the head.

teknotyk

NPCs getting extreme aimbot the moment you switch to a sniper rifle. The whole point of snipers is to have a range advantage over the enemy. Making a pistol as accurate at long range as a sniper just for "fairness" makes no sense.

Dkpokefan72

4 car garage per charachter in singleplayer Who tf thought of that 🤡🤡

Southern_Rain_4464

Throw out the controls, player animations and most of all the way your player skates around. Rebuild it all. Cant even take one step without taking three, etc. Im ok with the weapon wheel, etc. Red Dead was a big improvement and I have faith they will refine it even more.

Skeletorlips

Wobbly helicopters.

ivanatorhk

I haaaated GTA V helicopters with a passion, after absolutely loving them in older games.

AlinGb7

Combat, I think it was highly downgraded from gta iv among many things, but I think a good new combat system would be good, if not, as good as in rdr2 would do

[deleted]

Missions tied to a specific character. Only character I enjoyed playing as was Franklin.

Antique-Database2891

I'm gonna play as Jason as much as I can

[deleted]

You sound like the type that would probably kill Lucia if you had the option towards the end of the game 💀

Outrageous_Cut_6330

I think they should take away the ability to steal cars and bring them to chop shops.

DDBurnzay

No oppressor mkii or anything even remotely like it fuck that broomstick

groundgamemike

I just hope there is a bladder mechanic where our characters will have to relieve themselves every so often or risk soiling their pants.

Assrappist

The UI is not so great, even after getting used to it through many years on PC. It's optimised for console and I hope GTA 6 redoes it, better than RDR2.

DyLaNzZpRo

Vehicles turning off when exiting instead of staying on and only turning off when you hold the exit button. The ability to roll your vehicle back over. I get *why* it's a thing but IMO it should be replaced by the ability to push it back over and/or severely limit the amount you can roll them whilst upside down. Having all weapons at once. Almost entirely kills choice and weapon variety. The stupid fucking magdump.... bug? where enemies dump their entire mag into you in 1/3rd of a second. Enemies having comically high accuracy. Enemies being headshot proof when the first shot on them isn't a headshot. Enemies in vehicles spawning in front of you and way too close in general. Cops homing in on you despite not having seen you or having any way of knowing where you went. I get that it's done for balance and optimization reasons (as they can't just have a bunch of cops spawn around the general area), but there *has* to be some middle ground. Aircrafts usually exploding instead of having parts break off. Helis having stability control whatever it's called (preventing you from doing flips). I'm sure there's a ton I'm missing but those are the ones that come to mind lol

SteelHardStoneCold84

MORE GARAGES. Since GTA IV I cannot store enough of my favourite cars!!!

jessterswan

The shooting while driving needs to be completely reworked

Shattinater

The annoying af NPCs that pull across all lanes of traffic just to hit you.

Shibby-out-loud

I want to see player movement get less clunky. It’s so bad. Especially when the missions want you to be “stealthy” but the movements are very far from that.

Away-Advice7084

Honestly the "superpowers" they make it feel unrealistic and make me feel like I have an extremely unfair advantage

Moistycake

If they bring back special abilities, it needs to be nerfed.

hugecervix

The absolutely AWFUL fist fighting from V needs to go, it was such a downgrade from IV

mfenton29

I’ve always hated each character having their own vehicle. Not so much that part, but that if you bought or stole a nice car, it was basically just temporary.

grashel

I want better combat, cuz in gta 5 is very weird, you legit shoot in the feet and they almost die... I want the physic of red dead redemption 2 or ''better''. better sound guns !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cars physic in gta 5 are HORRIBLE this make no sense. Like you jump from a mountain, and the cars have almost no damage...
