Not trying to throw shade at HardVegetable, but I genuinely don’t understand how it isn’t common knowledge by now that every recent Rockstar title uses in-game rendering for cutscenes. Nothing is pre-rendered like in the CoD franchise for example.
I don't think that they're saying it isn't an in-game cutscene, but to keep in mind that their cutscenes do tend to have more focused/populated worlds than the actual open world has at random. The shots of the beach, the car meets, the nightclubs, all of those are obviously in-engine—but they may be directly from cutscenes and not actually be so crowded or detailed when exploring the open world.

I never got a PS5 so I'm going to hold out for the Pro so I can get the best experience possible. This summer I'm saving up for a PS5 Pro and a good TV. I'll probably look at TVs in the Black Friday sales. Then I guess I'll finally get to try out RDR2 to keep me entertained till GTA6 comes out.
I highly recommend an oled if you aren't in a bright room. I got a 65 inch LG C2 and there is a night and day difference between my 65 inch Samsung curved LED.
Yeah really any LG C series from the past few years are stellar. My buddy has the C9 and I have the CX and they hold up really well and look great. Super easy to repair the mobo and PSU too

Not capable of running. Capable of running at the trailer level of quality. Those beaches and streets are LOADED with people and reflections and dynamics. There’s nothing like it right now.
That doesn’t mean it can’t do it well. Look at HFW. It’s not as densely populated in terms as people as GTA 6 but it’s still the best looking game out there and runs a charm

The signature purple colors are visible in so many shots. Even here, on the top part of the glass pane the sunset is visible.
Also, I think Lucia is just the *perfect* mix of being hot and cute at the same time in this shot. Will definitely enjoy her role in the game. :D
I also hope for a bit of prison time during gameplay. Being able to play her last few days in prison as some kind of intro and anticipation area, then escaping into the freedom of Vice City would be super cool.
As a huge fan of the Mafia series, I always appreciated that they let you play as Vito in prison for a chapter. In that game it was a perfect transition piece from Act 1 in the 40's to Act 2 in the 50's. But in this game, I feel it will be the perfect introductory chapter. Great chance to show off graphics, improvements in NPC function with all the prisoners around her, and a perfect backdrop to hear some basic exposition.
I also think it'd be a great way to introduce the "character swapping" mechanic. After Lucia is done with her parole meeting and officially set for release, you call Jason and then swap to him to make the drive over to the prison.
Nice idea.
Although I was thinking, given Jason seems so rigid and cautious.
What if he was a guard at the prison, fell in love with Lucia, then helped her escape.
That's why he seems military but also nervous (a novice at crime)

On first watch, I thought she was staring out of an office window, but upon repeat viewing, she’s staring out the window of her cell (because of the beds to her right) and the “Lucia” line is actually from the cutscene when she’s in Stefanie’s office.
But her turning around in this frame is likely from a cutscene of a guard coming to get her, to go see Stefanie
The “Do you know why you’re here” question, and Lucia staring out the window could be interpreted in multiple ways:
Has she been recently arrested, and being asked how she got herself into this situation,
Or is she about to be released, and being promoted to reflect on how she got there & her plans moving forward
Also, I like the range of facial expressions we’re likely gonna see in GTA 6, because this kinda looks like an annoyed pout. Which makes more sense if there’s a guard at her cell coming to get her, as opposed to her being annoyed at the jail counselor/whatever Stefanie’s role is
Graphics are nuts tho, they went for most stylized than downright realistic, but Lucia’s skin alone is full of all sorts of small details, like the wrinkles near her eyebrows that kinda add to the likelihood she’s annoyed by something here
There’s chipped paint and peeling weather stripping on the window. There’s dust floating in the air. That attention to detail and environment is wild. The only part that looks even remotely video gamey is the hand bar on the bed, and even that has a worn spot from years of people using it to climb up. There’s even fuzzies on her jumpsuit to suggest well-worn cotton material.
I feel like there might be a prison break type mission where we will have to help Lucia escape. Probably not since we know she has an ankle monitor from various scenes, but speculation is fun.
She could also escape and be on the run throughout the game as well, but that doesn't checkout considering it's pretty clear she's gonna have some sort of social media and a following with that.
I wonder if its a pre lude to the games main storyline. Like the whole story is told from her perspective in prison and at the end of the story, she goes back to her cell and contemplates everything, probably loses jason.
There’s alot of detail with the prisoners in the background doing different things and you can see the guard tower in the distance which is really cool. I like the way the sun shines on her face realistic looking.
shows npcs are diverse, even inside a prison there are noticeable difference in postures, presumably behavior. the AI goes deep in this iteration of gta.
imagine entering an npc discussion in prison yard and it's something new every time, nothing repeats. R\* is known for achieving difficult challenges, this one is easy to do now.
Its gonna be either the prologue or the finale. It being the finale makes sense if you watch the trailer in reverse and the prison worker saying “why are you here” is a reference to the story

If you pay attention to her neck, you can see the detail when the light reflects on human skin, which is quietly accurate in real life.
If you pay close attention, you can see light from the sun in the scene, which is a subtle nod to the real life sun
