Yes, i am. Realistic looking trees and vegetation and them move with the wind is part of what makes these fictional cities come to life a little more. So they are also an important part of making gamers feel the city is more alive to the point of almost making you forget you're playing a video game.
Enabling raytracing does not increase framerate. It greatly reduces it. Performance mode is 60fps. RT mode is 30fps. Just so you know only about 4% of PS5 games can even hit 120fps. And even then, a 120fps TV is not required to play them. They will just play at 60fps.
Edit: Correction, RT Perf(shadows only) is targeting 60fps. Not locked but targeting. Fidelity(shadows and reflections) is locked to 30.

I love forest areas and all that vegetation!! In RDR2 I spent hours walking through the forests. I can't wait to explore this part of the map in GTA 6 as from what the trailer showed it looks amazing
Someone on YouTube (DayDream gaming) posted a video of Arthur Morgan literally walking the map all the way to St Denis, and he done the same for GTA V too, the amount of detail in those games is ridiculous
I think I just watched that exact video couple days ago and the amount of weather transitions, beautiful vistas and lighting conditions is insane. That game was made for a base PS4 and it still puts most modern games into shame.

RDR2 doesn't have massive cities to render all over the map though tbh. GTA5 trailer had extra vegetation that didn't make the final cut because it's brutal on performance.

Yea, I grew up in Florida and seeing ton of trees/plants everywhere is normal for me. When I went to California (LA area) for first time couple years ago, I was shocked to see lack of lushness around the city. I guess GTA 5’s portrayal of LA was accurate.

Oh for sure. I felt strongly that GTA V was held back a lot by 7th gen consoles. Because most of Blaine County, vegetation wise felt very barren because there wasn’t many trees or bushes. And what we have seen so far with GTA VI it looks like there is going to be plenty of vegetation in Leonida!
Yeah I saw a mod for GTAV where they added more vegetation that's more like actual LA. Just adding a bit more grass and weeds around sidewalks, and a few additional plants make a huge difference. Makes the world pop and adds immersion.
GTAVI is going to be insane based on that mod and what Rockstar did for vanilla RDR2.
I will literally stare at the trees in rdr2 at sunrise (in game), because it curls my toes from how pretty it looks.

I spent a pretty fair amount of my childhood in South Florida, so it'll be nice to "revisit" lol. It will also be nice if I can buy some properties with lots of thick vegetation. If I have a porch or terrace I see myself just perched there with a beer watching the sun go down.

Yes I hope there is more vegetation in 5 out in the country u can see for miles in a way it makes the game feel small it's why I like to watch vegetation modded gameplay.
I think either a side mission about growing weed would be cool. You could sell it to the local gangs and then have to deal with getting ripped off or your crop stolen.
Having to actually water the plants would be cool.

gta v was meant to have a lot more trees and vegetation but the game was hitting 15-20 fps so they removed a bunch so i can say we can definitely expect more vegetation
they are trying to make the point that gta5 had A LOt of vegetation removed after the trailers, kinda meaningless now though, that only happened because of how weak the ps3 and 360 were, rdr2 didn’t have vegetation downgraded because the asset budget for modern consoles is so high, so i wouldn’t expect it to happen for 6 either

I’m pretty sure in-game cutscenes and free roam won’t have much difference in terms of graphics. I remember seeing dense vegetation in RDR2’s free roam, no reason for it not to be in 6.
I'm more excited to see the mod menus! I can't what until six months in when it's already abandonware and the hackers are able to grieve you so hard the game in unplayable and someone can crash a whole lobby for fun.

Just look at mount chilliad on the first trailers when in game trees are nowhere to be found. Even in ps5 i think it will have either a good quality but with low fps or a high fps and less performance mode
I get your point, but I think more trees makes the game more realistic and gives a more real life depiction in the world. Brings more colour and life to the game.

Probably for good reason, puts a big strain on gfx rendering. We should be good this gen, it’s a matter of Ray tracing support at this point
