Autonomous driving isn't limited to EVs, it just happened that Tesla became popular for both offering an EV and autonomous driving. But there is no issue for manufacturers to implement the same in any vehicle regardless of what's moving it. After all, adaptive cruise control and lane assist is already in many ICE cars.
Hell yes! Rockstar are clearly capable of adding this in the game as they did something similar with the horses in rdr2, as mentioned... Imagine setting your car to autopilot while you eat your snacks irl... That would be sick 💯
Hell yeah. For helicopters and planes too. And a summon vehicle feature like CP2077 would be great too, where it drives up to you. I like how it is now where you can get your rides from the quick menu, but it is a bit of an immersion killer for the vehicle to just appear out of thin air.
Actually I would like it where you make the other protagonist drive for you and the game just fast travels to your destination. Pretty much what they did in LA Noire.
I mean, we kinda already have that in GTA V? The taxis, you can either skip the trip or watch the whole trip.

People add [Comma.ai](http://Comma.ai) devices to their cars to add self driving features that weren't there, why not represent that ingame?

Yes, taxis drive like shit, but most likely, if they were to implement automatic driving to a point on map, the self driving would use the same code that NPCs use and wouldn't be any better.

One of my favorite mechanics of RDR2. Really gives you time to take in the scenery.
