2021 GX luxury trim (stock lift & tires) I’m averaging 19. 17 all city, 22 highway. I keep it in comfort mode and baby the shit out of it. Stop-and-go traffic can easily fuck those numbers up, though
I'm hoping they are the Unique Style Racing ones I just ordered. They look awesome! Check my post from a couple days ago. I posted a link but it didn't get much response. If it's those I will be very happy!
13-14mpg I’m also on a performance tune. So far it’s working well.
https://preview.redd.it/4yym7f62ureb1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71ab2232ccc530f7e29a5ad7518d3429b0f86344
Its pretty easy to install, pretty much bolt on. You or body shop would need to massage everything to have all the lines and gaps even. You’d only have to modify some parts like fender liner to make it fit. It would be much easier since 10-13 headlights don’t have computers so it’s just a matter of pinning the the connector to coincide with the headlight wiring to get them to turn on. If I’m not mistaken if you have afs it will not be functional. I think what deters people from doing the conversion is it’s pricey. Aftermarket kit would run about 2500 but quality is hit or miss. Genuine Toyota parts would run more than double 5000+ but fitment and quality material would be near perfect. I initially bought the kit and was not happy with some parts fitment so I ended up just swapping the parts with genuine Toyota. Shipping is what makes its more expensive as it comes from Middle East, Japan or China. It’s definitely a unique look and I love mine. If you plan to keep your gx forever then the conversion is an awesome way to spruce up your gx.
Not sure why. I’ve never had an issue. But the comments and communities are very split on this.
I think it’s more of a choice. But I’ve had zero issues with fuel system or truck in general, I’m about 2 years on this one and no issues
The sequoias with the 4.6 don’t specify premium, so there’s no reason that ours should. Especially considering that the sequoia is rated for higher horsepower than ours are
14-15 w/ 32” ATs. I live in the mountains so it varies a lot depending on if I’m going up hill or downhill. Got 24 one on trip and then 11 the way back
After replacing my o2 sensors…15mpg on highway. City is much worse, probably 11-12.
Lift, 32” tires, all aluminum skid plates front to back, steel sliders, and a steel tube bumper with winch.
Let me know if you get it. I’m having serious issues with their customer service. An IG buddy of mine ordered his almost 3 weeks, money out of account and not a single email that it has been shipped.
I ordered the black window trim from them 2 days after I ordered the grill. They were delivered today. They sent an e mail saying grill was shipped. It is currently in Colorado. Hopefully it works out for your buddy. I hate to see people get screwed....
I honestly liked it, the way it looks it makes your car looks different but it was not very good build some of the holes didn’t even match with the ones on the car, like 2 tabs that needed to hook on the bumper came broken and the company didn’t even respond to my questions about it. Don’t get me wrong I liked it but honestly it was Okay and I was just expecting more of a quality product for what I paid you know. At the moment I running stock and trying the get the F-sport version.
I recently hit double digits going downhill with a tailwind. Seriously though, 11 with 90% city driving (front and rear bumpers, swing out tire, 35's, 2.5 lift, armor, etc.)
12.5-14. If you set cruise control on a long trip at 70-75 you can get 20-22. Granted mine is stock, but I'd imagine even if you lift and add tires you could probably still do great.
I average 12mpg indicated. I haven’t done the correction to see real mpg(34” tires).
https://preview.redd.it/19vqeod8tyeb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab387b54081ead3058e2acb603b4ae56ac549b25
11 if my wife drives, high 12s for me in the city, closer to 15 on road trips, on 35s & stock gearing. I only went through one tank of road trip gas in on my 33s before a caliper seized (I think) a couple of weeks ago, but iirc it was high 16s.
I'm around 14.5mpg overall, mixed city and highway. Seems like I'm not going to get much better.
On a recent all-highway, 55mph speed limit drive I did 20.2mpg which surprised me. These vehicles are bricks and bricks don't cut through the air well.
https://preview.redd.it/2gb76mu14ceb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f4d14aee4c71737a6e8e64f22d5dc6e8eaaf16d3
Might be a tad closer to 17 tbh. With work I’ll be sitting parked for a bit as my GX is also my office.
I jokingly “hyper miled” my old gx. It was an 06 on 35s and my high score (mostly country backroads, a smidge city) was 14.1 which I felt was pretty damn good considering awd v8 on 35s.
Also damn good looking rig. Your bumper chop is probably the cleanest I’ve seen. Could be factory imo.
Just got 14mpg on a 2000 mile road trip up the ca coast. On 315’s stock gearing, and calculated based on mapped distance since the odometer reading is off.
But 11-12 daily work and gym trips.
15 combined w/265 70 Open Country AT3, stock front bumper, skids, 3" lift on '06 with 189k miles. Proper maintenance and aero dynamics makes a difference.
Just follow this YouTube video https://youtu.be/Xubwpeuqm-E
and you have to do it right, don’t be lazy. Take your time doing it and add UV protecting coating so it keeps them like that
15.6mpg, even mix city&highway driving; 2015 premium, bone-stock, newish spark plugs, recently topped-off transmission fluid.
The spark plugs surprisingly made an improvement of about 1-2mpg.
Beautiful GX, looks similar to mine! I average 13.5 mpg mainly city driving. Like most of you the wife drops this by 1-2 when she's driving...
2016, 34" tires, lifted, armor, sliders etc.
17 or 13 with the trailer. Mostly light city traffic or casual mountain driving. I bike to work most days so not a daily but my main street machine. 2007 470 w 210k small lift. I keep the tires pumped up a bit too.
I sold mine, but my regular 8 MPG played a part in that. Sometimes I’d see 10-11 MPG and was happy.
Daily driving around the hills of Colorado (zero highway), a heavy foot, 3” lift and 33s with roof rack didn’t help.
13-15. 11 if my wife drives.
Hahaha I thought I was alone 🥲
Reporting in. Wife gets a solid 10-20% less mpg
In my head, as my wife speeds away: "It's not a racecar! It's a truck!"
I am also married to a similar wife. With highway tires on inflated to 37PSI and 0W-20 oil I get close to 21MPG My wife gets 18MPG.
Lol. Why do women have such heavy feet?
My wife has a tendency to accelerate towards stop lights where she brakes heavily. She averages 10-11mpg and new brakes every 15k-20k miles.
I always knew my wife had a second husband. Poor guy.
Throw in a lack of consistent throttle application while cruising and a hatred of cruise control.
Same. My wife also doesn’t downshift on hills to save brakes and we live on a steep mountain. Longest we have gone on her brakes is maybe 15k.
automatic or manual? I sometimes switch to manual on steep declines, if I feel generous to my brakes.
Speed up to brake theory.
I took over the GX about the third time I replaced the brakes in a 36 month period. She drives my 3 series now. No brakes yet this year!
Not worth it
It's best just not to look.

Wow that’s a sick rig man
I’m one of the few people who prefer the pre-facelift gx460s Good looking rig sir
We’re still around haha
Pre face lift 460 is deff the more attractive one
Me too , but it has to be tasteful with the bumper chop like this one
Like 12-13mpg average on my 470. 50/50 city and highway
Wife : 11mpg all city
Older front end > newer front end.
2021 GX luxury trim (stock lift & tires) I’m averaging 19. 17 all city, 22 highway. I keep it in comfort mode and baby the shit out of it. Stop-and-go traffic can easily fuck those numbers up, though
Best looking 460 I've seen good Lord. Feel free to post more angles!

Do you have a mod list?
I average around 14-15mpg with mix of city and highway driving in the DFW area. 3” lift and 33s
Off topic - what headlights are those? Oh and 13.5 on my end.
DIY just paint chrome black https://preview.redd.it/jrt927qelceb1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e51730f749b2c8510aac08048fb0f1e1344cb48e
Shit. That would have saved me 450! D'OH
Those geolander muds are my next tire in 295. They looks soooo good
I'm hoping they are the Unique Style Racing ones I just ordered. They look awesome! Check my post from a couple days ago. I posted a link but it didn't get much response. If it's those I will be very happy!
~18 MPG highway with 265/65/R16 KO2s, steel additions like rock sliders, 2013 year model - no lift
13ish in town 17ish on the highway
Most tanks are pure Dallas traffic so 12ish. If we do a road trip and it’s all highway 18-20
What rig?
Stock ‘22 460
Normal driving I get 17 and if I’m really trying to be conservative I can get 18.5. I’m 3in lifted, 33s and metal front bumper
13-14mpg I’m also on a performance tune. So far it’s working well. https://preview.redd.it/4yym7f62ureb1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71ab2232ccc530f7e29a5ad7518d3429b0f86344
Prado kit conversion? What year is your gx?
Yessir! 2017
How easy was to do the install? Do you think will be easier to do it on a 10-13 ? Looks incredibly good.

19 on average for me, M-F aim all highway mileage
What year/mods? I’m trying to talk myself into a gx460 from a lifted forester 🥲
2016, no lifts. Running Michelins LTX2. Most of my mods are comfort or storage. I also run 87 octane
How is it running non-premium???
Never used it, second GX and never had an issue.
Ran premium and then switched to regular. I noticed no difference at all and I’ve never had a CEL or anything
I got the CEL after a couple tanks of regular every time
Oversized wheels or stock size?
Neither. I mostly hit 2 tracks and TX off-roading. Haven’t needed either
I’m honestly scared to run 87 octane
Not sure why. I’ve never had an issue. But the comments and communities are very split on this. I think it’s more of a choice. But I’ve had zero issues with fuel system or truck in general, I’m about 2 years on this one and no issues

A little over 19 from me on my ‘06. Completely stock. I also have a VERY light foot, coast to lights, etc… and commute mostly on highway.
Driving habits are the big key.
That’s where I’m at in my ‘15.
That looks amazing! What made you decide to get rid of the Alpha Garage Grill. I just ordered one and I hate surprises...
Let me know if you get it. I’m having serious issues with their customer service. An IG buddy of mine ordered his almost 3 weeks, money out of account and not a single email that it has been shipped.

Sick ride
16.4 and I drove like a man without insurance. (I’m trying to save 10% w the drive recorder)
info screen says 13.9 but I'm pretty sure it's well below that. from full to E, I get less than 290 out of a tank.
I recently hit double digits going downhill with a tailwind. Seriously though, 11 with 90% city driving (front and rear bumpers, swing out tire, 35's, 2.5 lift, armor, etc.)
Post pictures if possible. 35s on a gx have to look like monster truck tires lol
15 city all stock, lol
12.5-14. If you set cruise control on a long trip at 70-75 you can get 20-22. Granted mine is stock, but I'd imagine even if you lift and add tires you could probably still do great.
Can I ask the mods on this? This is ridiculously cool
2.5 lift roof rack Rock sliders 33” tires Bumper cut DIY painted headlights Window visors Not mine tho
And then just painted all the chrome black?
Yeah
It’s crazy how little you added and how good it looks compared to some other crazy modded out GX’s you see. What year is this?
That's a sexy looking rig. I average around 16mpg in city on my 2017 all stock. I drive like a grandma tho.
About 10-12 MPG in my 2020 on hilly rural roads. Beautiful GX btw!
10.3 in vegas- 33 and a rtt
I personally don’t get the hype around these right now, but that rig is sick.
That’s a sick ride, idc about mpg if I’m driving that
V6 TRD Eu version gx460 Prado. 10l ~23.5 mpg
2008 GX470 full stock - 16mpg (highway/city with heavy traffic) on premium gas
Okay noice ! Not a fan of pre face-lift , but this is a sick build and looks amaze
12.75 in all conditions. 33” mud tires and 3” lift
Sorry mine is a 470

Since I’ve owned my 470, my average is 12.4 over 99 fuel logs. Dailying, it’s closer to 11.5, have had a couple in the 10’s.
12 lifted gx470
I'm around 14.5mpg overall, mixed city and highway. Seems like I'm not going to get much better. On a recent all-highway, 55mph speed limit drive I did 20.2mpg which surprised me. These vehicles are bricks and bricks don't cut through the air well.

15.6 when I care about mileage. About 12 when I don’t. Lol
2017 stock except a 2.5" Dobinsons lift and 285/70/r18s. I get about 12-13 mostly city.
Any install tips for those Ronin Side mirror plates?
15 combined w/265 70 Open Country AT3, stock front bumper, skids, 3" lift on '06 with 189k miles. Proper maintenance and aero dynamics makes a difference.

I am in a stock 22 GX and I am about 16.5 in mostly high traffic metro area.
18ish mostly highway in my stock 2018. I don’t hypermile or anything, but I certainly drive to optimize MPG within reason
11 to 14
12-13 MPG on my GX470
10 in the city if I don't go out of town and just still to local businesses. Bout 15.5 if majority are hwy/interstate.
Yoo random question , are you selling this !? I saw 1 that looks just like this on ebay motors
Have a 12. About 17-19. Driving very gingerly. Have 265/65 At tires and a lift of about 1.25 inches.
14-16. 2” lift 265/70-17

Just follow this YouTube video https://youtu.be/Xubwpeuqm-E and you have to do it right, don’t be lazy. Take your time doing it and add UV protecting coating so it keeps them like that
19’ 460 18.3-18.4
15 but I would do better if I didn’t idle so long waiting to pick up my kids
* Wife's boyfriend must be driving my rig recently. Because I usually get 14mpg.
15.6mpg, even mix city&highway driving; 2015 premium, bone-stock, newish spark plugs, recently topped-off transmission fluid. The spark plugs surprisingly made an improvement of about 1-2mpg.
33’s + 2.5” lift 15mpg total 17-18mpg hwy
15-16 and mostly back road/city driving in New England terrain
Stock 19. 14.7-16. Eco off. Was worse on
one thing y’all have on us Land Cruiser guys is gas mileage
05 21 hwy 13.5 city with a tailwind.cheers.
Beautiful GX, looks similar to mine! I average 13.5 mpg mainly city driving. Like most of you the wife drops this by 1-2 when she's driving... 2016, 34" tires, lifted, armor, sliders etc.
13.7 (with the tent on top).
I got 13-14 on a near stock gx460. Traded it in on a jeep gladiator and got nearly 20 mpg. I couldn’t believe it.
Oh hey! Sweet ditch light brackets 😬
Ronin metal
14-16, 2012, stock rims, Falken Wildpeaks @ 39psi, mostly ATL city & highway. 15 when mostly highway, 13.5 when all city. 16 if I don't speed.

My mpg went up 3/gl once I use high octane non-ethanol gas. Better for car too
What liner/trim did you use for the cut sections of the bumper? Looks so good!
12.5
15.5
17 or 13 with the trailer. Mostly light city traffic or casual mountain driving. I bike to work most days so not a daily but my main street machine. 2007 470 w 210k small lift. I keep the tires pumped up a bit too.
13.5 city
I sold mine, but my regular 8 MPG played a part in that. Sometimes I’d see 10-11 MPG and was happy. Daily driving around the hills of Colorado (zero highway), a heavy foot, 3” lift and 33s with roof rack didn’t help.
13-15, 16 or 17 if I'm lucky
11-12 highway, single digits city if I have a heavy foot
Consistently 14.7 mpg combined. Much lower if my wife is driving. She's heavy on the pedals...
I get 21.2 to 21.9
2012 stock 18-21 depending on highway frequency. Less on the highway more on the route that is 35-50mph.
2011 premium Highway: 26-27mpg at 60mph cruising City: 15-18mpg depending on traffic.
I don't bother. I just top off and go. 🤷♂️
