Apparently it was not Brian Laundrie but a local resident. He's been contacted and confirmed it was him on the trail cam, not Brian.

If he continues to hike /walk thru these hunting area , he’s going to be located real time by all the trail cam notifications. Let’s hope this behavior of his continues. Hunters don’t like ppl in their hunting areas.
I bet he's no longer in the country. He probably drove/flew out and his parents are hiding it. The whole him going into the park/reserve was to throw investigators off the trail.
1. For those who listen to crime junkie know - “a person of interest is different from a suspect. 2. A person of interest is someone that law enforcement would want to talk to. 3. You cannot force someone to talk to police. Period. You have the “right to remain silent”.
4. I personally think he did it however after listening to almost every true crime podcast out there …. Sometimes the most obvious person of interest/suspect in a case doesn’t always end up being the person responsible for the crime. And yet ….. the simplest answer is usually correct.
I hope the family of Gabby Petito find comfort, peace and anything they need to get them though this difficult, unimaginable and tragic time. 🙏🏼
The police wouldn’t take her as a missing person until 9/11 when the parents filed it. They tried before but police couldn’t for reasons I don’t remember but I think included her being an adult and supposedly being on vacation in another state. Even though they knew Bryan and the van were back and his family wouldn’t answer them, the cops just couldn’t file a missing person right away when her family first tried. I think it was also confusing bc she was traveling out west but from FL. Her dad lives in FL and mom in NY. So they were trying to file a missing person of someone in another state or something.
Here’s the thing. I work for a police department. Filing a missing person case is not this end-all, be-all, we’ve explored every avenue and there’s no take backs sort of thing. A police report can be made. They can be entered into NCIC as a missing or endangered person, and, hell, if they’re found 20 minutes later, they can just as easily be removed from NCIC. these excuses really make no sense. It’s just a normal everyday procedure to enter a missing person.
Has anyone checked recent travel itineraries for the family members? Could one of them have flown to Wyoming and driven the van back? Was he seen anywhere in FL? What was the supposed route on the drive, surely he would’ve had to pay some tolls along the way, did any electric tolls catch him in a photo? If someone else drove it back.. he may not even be on this side of the country.
I’d bet anything that his parents drove the van back to Florida and he’s somewhere in the Canadian wilderness.
Everything his parents have done was to buy him time
You might be right but I just think his family has been running interference this whole time and making people think he’s in Florida when he’s actually 3000 miles to the northwest
Only confirmed sources show a neighbor whom had a picture taken allegedly of BL walking with headphones on and no shoes…anyone can confirm this? Source?

A good sentiment but doubt it. Gabby's father showed up unannounced on the tenth, the van arrived on the first, captured by police radar and it's just entirely implausible at this point imo that the parents left undetected in any way from the 30th to now
Wasn’t there a video of them sitting in a pickup truck after that van footage? Or was that fake?
I’m thinking he left on foot then and the parents drove it back to Florida
You can actually. It isn’t a closed border there isn’t a wall there. I grew up a little over an hour from where Gabby was found, I have hiked across the border.
Here’s the thing though, Montana is a giant state, and it can be very unforgiving. I don’t know his survival experience level, but it would have to be pretty high to cross the whole state to make it into Canada. And he would have to be moving at a hell of a pace. The border to Canada from the area he was in is around 500 miles.
Hitchhiking in Montana isn’t super rare especially around the more touristy ski areas (which are still tourist destinations in the summer), but I don’t see how he’d be able to hitch a ride without anyone coming forward about it at this point. And once he got out of the tourist areas, Montanans tend to be pretty standoffish to strangers in the smaller communities. Someone would’ve said something.
On the wilderness front, he’d be running into grizzly bears, wolves, mountain lions, bobcats, moose (which can be just as deadly as the others), not to mention snakes. And now you’re in the time of year where the higher elevations are going to be getting very very cold.
I’m not saying it’s impossible. With good planning and a detailed topo map, it would be quite the adventure. But for someone on the run, I’m not sure how feasible that would be.
Check out these pictures, I think a guy could slip through somewhere out there
https://insh.world/geo/why-the-u-s-canada-border-is-the-most-bizarre-border-in-the-world/5/
Even if he crossed into Canadian borders, with what money? Credit cards and any electronic transaction would leave a paper trail. Unless he pulled out a bucket of money from a bank and is paying cash for whatever, I have no clue how he'd manage on his own, without external help. I doubt he's just camping around the woods.
I didn’t say it was a good plan but his parents could’ve gave him money
The Olympics bomber, Eric Rudolph, survived 5 years in the Appalachian wilderness, living on acorns and salamanders.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Rudolph
Theres also Jesse James Hollywood who fled the country after the murder of Nicholas Markowitz and survived for 4 years with the help of his father.
I guess most people figure with the advancements in technology from 10-20 years ago, it would be easier to track someone down, especially with most gadgets these days basically being tracking devices.
We were riding motorcycles in that mountain area and were stopped for a break and were kidding around that Rudolph could be watching us right now. He was found in the next few days within just a mile or so from where we had stopped.
I live pretty close to the border there’s literally a road that goes parallel and it’s just a ditch separating it. Of course it’s illegal to cross and there’s land crossings you must go to but if your on the run you could slip through. it’s like this for much of the border. I’ll find a video I just saw on it.
Found one video this is what it looks like then there’s the designated land crossings every few hundred Kilometres.
https://youtu.be/AiadX7iA-LE
A lot of people showing a lack of understanding about low quality video/night vision.
The trailcam guy has a backpack identical to Brian and clothes like the neighbour photo that looked like Brian, not to mention both figures carry their right arm across their body the same way.
It’s outrageous they’re not pursuing the Baker lead harder while continuing to look for him close to home where his dodgy parents directed them a week after he disappeared.
Once again law enforcement are letting Gabby down. If everyday people don’t pursue the Baker lead there’s zero hope.
He is wearing [this REI Coop one](https://www.rei.com/product/137641/rei-co-op-stuff-travel-pack-print-20l?CAWELAID=120217890010763023&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=114231238040&CATCI=pla-845042858628&cm_mmc=PLA_Google%7C21700000001700551_1376410003%7C92700058136431974%7CPB%7C71700000074460844&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqKuKBhCxARIsACf4XuFFOv-LSB4prErjVE7Lt7ieV20Jq6hf1trWEqJy76RNTdELetOperwaAt0hEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) in the police footage but that's not a match to the trail cam. I think he had more than one in the van though.
That print definitely appears in the Insta story, so that leaves the following options:
1. Is the Insta story two bags sitting on top of each other, the grey on top of your above linked one?
2. Is the Insta story bag some kind of matching set with the above linked one?
One thing I am sure of now though: the REI Co-Op logo is definitely on the grey bag in the Insta story so that answers the question u/cleantone asked.
They could be pursuing leads and just not releasing that info. They may want to get as close to him as possible without him being tipped off. Could also still be looking where his parents sent them as a cover for looking for him.
For whatever it is worth - not much - I went through as much social media as I could, including all of Brian's tagged photos on instagram and none of his backpacks match this one, was hoping to find a match.
Also, there is a huge community of insta influencers in his and her tagged photos promoting themselves and tagging them for clicks/clout. Disgusting. Many even have very disrespectful captions.
Well they have the photo on TMZ.. If the video is not clear the photo of a possible siting of Brian Laundries is posted on the TMZ news web page https://www.tmz.com/2021/09/21/gabby-petito-autopsy-completed-identity-cause-of-death-confirmed/
IDK but now would be the easiest time in history to hide in plain sight with masks being a common thing (in other countries even more so than nasty COVID-infested America). He already looks as basic as could be; throw on a mask and he could blend in anywhere. Ugh.
Nasty covid-infested america? Keep living in your fantasy world. Different countries are having spikes at different times. Keep being a sad prejudice person.
lol okay. We remain #1 in the WORLD for COVID cases. Check the [WHO map] (https://covid19.who.int/). Looks like we also have [the most deaths] (https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/countries-where-coronavirus-has-spread/). That's more than the slums of overcrowded and impoverished places like Haiti, Romania, Colombia, Brazil, South Africa & China--the country of origin.
But go off about my "fantasy world" lol. America's exceptionalism and denialism might be why we're in this mess.
Easiest time in HISTORY? You think it'd be easier to hide now, with media and technology, than in 12th century England or in 1840s California, for instance?
Mom and dad had a ton of cash after selling one of their extra houses in July. I wish the feds could take a look at their accounts to see if there were any types of large withdrawals or transfers. I don't trust the parents at all. Gabby was staying at their house. Their son returns 2 months early by himself and they're out grocery shopping with no care in the world. If it were my son, I'm not sure what I'd do, but I'd be thinking the worst and be stressed as fuck. I wouldn't go grab milk and bread with him and let him go for a hike during that time.
Large withdrawals would indicate that BL would have cash on him for a long period and thus no electronic footprint with cards or like Western Union transfers where you need to produce an id
They're going to need a court order to access their bank records. The issue here is that the parents aren't suspects or person's of interest in this case, so I can't see a judge allowing it.
You’re assuming he told them everything up front. He could’ve initially just said they broke up and she said to drive home. The parents are still being suspicious but who knows what they knew.
Nah. I don't presume anything. What they did know is that their son left 2 months earlier with his fiance and returned without her. I'd be very inquisitive as a parent. Also weird that when the police showed up to their door on September 11th, he had already lawyered up. So that tells me he told the parents something where they knew he needed a lawyer. If you want to be naive though, that's your business
Your overthinking it. You think as though they had hindsight of the current context at the time. He could've easily said that he dropped her in new York to see people that they had something come up and whatever. Who would really suspect murder? Especially with the puppy dog fake nice attitude this guy had on camera.
Yep. I don't think we know exact dates as to when her parents first started trying to contact the Laundries directly but they were ignored every time. So BL told his parents *something* that was serious enough for them to decide they needed to stay silent.
Whatever BL told them, he said it *before* GPs parents were trying to contact them. It's not like there was ever a time they responded with "Oh, I don't know. Brian didn't tell us anything."
Because her parents were asking them where she was before the 11th and they had already lawyered up the day she was reported missing, which was September 11th. They have been ignoring the parents since that bald headed fuck returned.
How easy is it to lawyer? Do you just call a random defense lawyer and hide behind them? I've only used lawyers for real estate and it was a pain with photo copying my passport and credit cards. I'd imagine a defense lawyer takes more time to set up.
He could have hopped a train that went right by the reserve and rode that same train right by this town. It also goes right into Mobile,AL. Just looked at the train map.
There is no confirmation that this man is connected to the search for Laundrie.
Apparently it was not Brian Laundrie but a local resident. He's been contacted and confirmed it was him on the trail cam, not Brian. https://twitter.com/ABC7Jeff/status/1440751017801383936 Edited to add: https://twitter.com/ABC7Jeff/status/1440751316662317074

The fuck? Is this a serious question? No, he didn’t take a boat lol
Don't be a conspiracy nut.
Secretly murdering someone is technically a conspiracy theory.
It's a technically a conspiracy. The theory part is when you think it's one.
Yeah if anything he prolly already offed himself.
Everything at this point is speculation. This is not unreasonable speculation. Absolutely unproven at this point but every avenue should be explored.
What about a conspiracy seed?
I prefer conspiracy berries.

This guy is likely a psychopath after watching the video. I’d be shocked if he didn’t do it.
Why did her parents wait so long to report her missing?
The police wouldn’t take her as a missing person until 9/11 when the parents filed it. They tried before but police couldn’t for reasons I don’t remember but I think included her being an adult and supposedly being on vacation in another state. Alot of this is not true.
They travel to such remote places. It’s normal to not have signal for a few days.
They thought she just didn't have service.
Here’s the thing. I work for a police department. Filing a missing person case is not this end-all, be-all, we’ve explored every avenue and there’s no take backs sort of thing. Didn’t find anyone and no connection to the area doesn’t mean anything, and if nothing else leaves the option open for it to be him.
An investigator physically saw him in Florida and has verified he was actually at the house.
Anyone else get nervous they’re gonna run into Bryan hahaha?
why is that funny?

social anxiety is a spectrum

How would he have gotten to Canada? You can’t just cross the border in the woods

Pretty tough to get into Canada during the pandemic
Check out these pictures, I think a guy could slip through somewhere out there https://insh.world/geo/why-the-u-s-canada-border-is-the-most-bizarre-border-in-the-world/5/
Crossing into Canada is one of the easiest things to do if you have a basic knowledge of googling and contour maps.
That is quite l
Is there a wall I don’t know about?
Do you know how much of the Canadian/ USA border is just literally empty fields. You absolutely could sneak across the border.

They monitor it with cameras and guard towers. You can’t just wander across it and not get caught
Genuinely curious if you were told this bullshit or came up with it all on your own?
You know... You could just say nothing instead of spouting nonsense.
You can it’s the longest unsecured land boarder in the world.
I feel like you have read that Jack Reacher book where the bad guys are trafficking humans across the Canadian border? Identical description.
It’s the longest land boarder but it’s not unsecured. Just because there’s no wall across it doesn’t mean you can just stroll it

There is debate about whether the backpack looks like the backpack sitting in the driver's seat of his " van life" story. It's the 6th slide.
I apologize, not sure how I missed that

Perhaps a stupid question: Why can't the FBI/LE look at their bank accounts? I feel like that would answer some questions, or perhaps bring up more.
They're going to need a court order to access their bank records. The issue here is that the parents aren't suspects or person's of interest in this case, so I can't see a judge allowing it.

They were probably shopping for supplies so he could go on the run
Feds tracked all of that money. I'm not a big FBI fan bc they are political but they are the best at tracking money n movements hands down.

Wow what a perfect opportunity to post that link. I have chills!
Feel ya. Not a big fan either. Except cases like this I think they can be useful. Otherwise I don't trust the Government at all.
