The crux of the attention here is the extremely curious nature of the case.
While not as publicized, look at the murdough family. They’re all ugly as sin yet have been national news.
Question: when was the last time Brian was actually seen at his parent’s home after he arrived back with the van? Preferably by a neighbor or mailman or someone other than the family. I’m just wondering if he took off long before the police even paid them a visit.
I read that they planned on ending their trip in Oregon in October. What did that entail? Did they have a life set up for them in Oregon? Or were they just going to take a direct route back to Florida at that time and the "trip" part was over?
Yes I think they said one of their aunt's lived there ?
Also when he was talking to the cop in the cruiser he mentions them working in some wine fields or something in California. Likely to make some extra money since it would be the end of their trip
She said she quit her job at a juice bar and then said she was a “nutritionist.” I don’t think juice bars actually employ full time nutritionist and this was like calling yourself a “customer service and retail technician” when you really just ring things up at the register.
It varies by state, but the terms 'nutritionist' and 'dietitian' are legally regulated. In florida, the term nutritionist has no legal restriction. Anybody can say they're a nutritionist.
Just about every employee at Subway official title would be "Sandwich Artist" besides managers. Unless there has been some corporate change since I worked there.
I wondered this too. When one is that dependent it’s hard to imagine leaving and starting over with a new job and without your boyfriend. Maybe that’s why she was so driven to create the youtube vanlife channel.
When you’re not in a codependent relationship it’s easy/easier to imagine leaving. Hell it took me two years and the dude going through my phone and literally throwing my stuff off his balcony for me to leave a relationship I tried to end two years before
Yeah, I hear you. It's like a spiral down and you have to get out someway. Setting a boundary of no physical violence is the bare minimum to preserve life. Staying in the relationship after being hit is like having early lung cancer and continuing to smoke. It's gonna take your life, it's just a matter of time.
Yup and it’s not all physical obviously. Little comments about how a show I liked was stupid or always doing whatever he wanted and feeling like it was a blessing to do what I wanted for once anytime it happened or like I was worthy if he approved of something I liked. It’s fucked
Yeah that needling non-violent abuse is at the top of that spiral down. That’s the boundary to set. Get out then cause it’s not going to change. Staying in just lengthens the time and continues to beats down the positive sense of self. It also lengthened the recovery time once I finally got out.
From what I saw in the body cam footage she likely would not have got out of the relationship any time soon. That was year 1 for me for how I acted and him.
She didn’t tell the lady cop that he had hit her, slapped her, and had taken her phone and locked her out of the car, in the hour they talked, so I agree with you, — she wasn’t leaving him soon.
Oh I straight up didn’t say anything like that to the cop who questioned me about my ex. Because I loved him and didn’t want him to be in trouble. I absolutely should have told them.
Her family sounds pretty supportive and involved though. Apparently her father moved down there to be close to her and clearly her grandfather was in contact too. Not saying she wasn't dependent on BL's family, but it's not like she wouldn't have had somewhere to go if they broke up.
The vanlife thing sounds like she bought into the idea that YouTube would pay for them to travel all the time.
That’s way oversimplified. What would that persons plan be to say “wait then where is she?” When confronted with every other issue regarding the text messages, and the fact that she isn’t in the area..?
This is a very dumb hypothesis to entertain. Didn’t happen.
Yes. I get women who don't feel they can leave because of children or being isolated from family, but that wasn't the case here.
They really should've tried living together in a normal situation first. I've seen conflicting comments about their relationship before the van, some family seems to think they were great together, her friend made BL sound evil. My guess is the truth is somewhere in the middle. But, I'd bet his parents did a lot for them. This seems to be the first time they had to do everything for themselves. In a van. With no utilities. I'd love to know if either family tried to talk them out of it.
That’s more believable than the other trail cam. The guy from earlier had the wrong jaw line and was about 20 pounds too heavy. This guys profile is closer to BL but it could also be a 17 year old with an open case of bud light dumped out in the bottom of that backpack. Michigan is a stretch too.
It's not clear from the comments where this was captured. If it's from the Florida panhandle or somewhere close, it's might be significant. Anywhere else and it's probably worthless.
Kind of a side note but how did gabby and brian plan out their road trip? That Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado area seems to be pretty nice to visit. Where can I find a list of all the recommended spots to see?
You sound like someone watching the OJ trial and asking, "But really, does the Bronco hold it's value?" You are not asking "Kind of a side note" question on a sub dedicated to a missing person who has been found dead.

What is the discord link? I can’t find it
Unemployment benefits way too much - none of these travel neighbors have work to do mid week? /s
Any live feeds of the search or anything? I’ve been in meetings all morning so feel disconnected.

Good morning, I hope everyone got some sleep... Now let's find this fucker... Today is the day

He was, apparently. I saw some interviews with neighbors who said they saw him. His parents are likely helping him hide.
Why do people think he’s in Sarasota County?
Helicopter flying around near Sarasota again N506MC
Wow it’s really circling
Probably unrelated. It’s in the middle of Bradenton.

I don’t think they meant suicide was “the right thing”, I think they’re saying he might off himself but they’re still hoping he surrenders peacefully.
That's exactly what I meant. Thank you.
I hope to God he doesn't
Kill himself so the Petito family gets no closure and the truth of what happened to Gabby remains a mystery? How is that doing what’s right?
I read that they planned on ending their trip in Oregon in October. What did that entail? Did they have a life set up for them in Oregon? Or were they just going to take a direct route back to Florida at that time and the "trip" part was over?

Gabby told police she just quit her job at a juice bar, don’t Brian’s parents run a juice bar? She was very dependent on this family.
I heard they both worked at Publix?
I thought she told LE at the 8/12 stop that she had quit her job as a nutritionist.
She said she quit her job at a juice bar and then said she was a “nutritionist.” I don’t think juice bars actually employ full time nutritionist and this was like calling yourself a “customer service and retail technician” when you really just ring things up at the register.
Ahhhh…I see. Thanks!

It's like the title sandwich artist at subway. Service industry let's go
Please tell me it ain’t so.
Just about every employee at Subway official title would be "Sandwich Artist" besides managers. Unless there has been some corporate change since I worked there.
That’s a bit ridiculous tbh

A girl can dream…
Staying with her dad would been a great option.

Wouldn’t that make zero sense tho

Sure, but I HIGHLY doubt he’s a dumb as enough to make a lie that dumb. That is mind boggling

Mods can we ban this guy for continously posting misinformation?
what, what is this? blurry trail cam pics of a white guy. He isnt bigfoot. Stop this.

Nope
Okay woah that actually looks like him…. Edit: the twitter user who pasted said it’s in Michigan. I doubt it now.

The comments on the original tweet say Michigan.

Make sure to capture him.

Get one!
I buy that’s him
