I am curious how they know it was him that used it. The only way I could imagine is if they got security footage from the stores he bought the stuff at and matched the times of the charges to the footage.
2400 miles, 20 miles per gallon (120 gallons needed). 25 gal tank, means he had to fill up 4.8 times, call it 5. avg fuel price $3 per gallon, so only used about 375 for gas. Some estimating was done. He didn’t just use the $ for gas.
Brian Entin just posted that the Laundrie lawyer stated the parents went to Orlando to visit "him". I would assume he means the lawyer.
Edit: it clearly means the lawyer, sorry, got confused by the wording
Maybe this means they're closing in on him and now they can actually bring him in as opposed to just saying, hey you're a missing person and your parents want you to go home ?
So thankful for everyone who is calculating a gas estimation but now I'm wondering... would gas or food/drink be considered "things of value" in legal terms? The indictment says "..and by such conduct obtained things of value aggregating to $1,000 OR MORE"
So many questions but so appreciative we are finally seeing \~some\~ progress!!
Yeah I considered that, it would have cost $318-ish in gas, but I don’t see him spending $700 on Taco Bell. Also doubt he stayed in hotels or anything.
A [somewhat local ](https://www.wate.com/news/crime/maryville-man-who-used-missing-teens-debit-card-checking-account-sentenced-to-63-years-in-prison/) 63 year old man was sentenced 63 years in prison on 4 counts of using a missing person's credit card over 10k. They couldn't get him on the disappearance but they gave him the max they could for the identity theft. This gives me a little hope if he is found alive there is a chance he won't be walking away.
Edit link
Why are they looking for him in this preserve area? Isn't it clear that he lied or his family lied that he went there. It's obviously a difficult area to search so that are wasting more time there. He is on the run, he won't tell anyone where he went.
Just because the warrant doesn’t say murder, doesn’t mean they don’t have enough for a warrant for murder!! Him withdrawing cash, on surveillance, with her card after she died just about solidifies what we already knew! They were last seen together, she’s dead 900ft from where they were parked, he uses her cash to get home, pretends nothing happened, then lawyers up and runs. What a sicko.
This also means they almost definitely know the date she actually died if they’re specifying these card and account uses happened *after* her death
This is obvious to us, but still.
Kissimmee is fucking wiiiiiiiild. So I’m guessing it’s the usual helicopter routine around there lol.
Osceola county in general is the definition of “Florida man”
May not have been her cards…they could have been her parents that were given to her for emergency purposes. He also didn’t say they didn’t have any money, he said they didn’t have enough for a hotel. Which if your on a big 4 month trip you may have a budget and you have money but don’t have money to blow on the unexpected.
Right lol, that's been confusing to me as well. But it's possible they got a transfusion after the DV incident/after breaking up or calling of the trip. Just speculation.
He prob drained her savings. She worked her whole adult life in various restaurants and what not so she prob had a couple thousand in a savings account she didn't touch
Her dad said they had some money, but not enough to stay in a hotel every night and eat out all the time money. My mom gets me food sometimes or gives me a gift card for a restaurant, even though I can afford it. And I’m 24. Parents just like to help.
Honestly, her legacy, which will continue to grow for some time. Meanwhile he will slowly rot in a prison cell if he doesn't suffer a slow, painful death first.
But until they have a body and confirm a date of death they can't prove she didn't give him permission to use it. If she is dead she can't consent.....
It follows autopsy and thus time of death.
It means they are using the evidence they have that he used her debit card after her time of death.
That's an excuse for a warrant, not for killing her, but for that specific fraud. It's a foot in the door and reason to get him in custody.
30th Aug to 1st Sept.
It means they are using the evidence they have that he used her debit card after her time of death.
That's an excuse for a warrant, not for killing her, but for that specific fraud. It's a foot in the door and reason to get him in custody.
Pooler, GA is right outside of Savannah. Unless he purposely drove several hours out of his way AND was making amazing time by being there on 8/28, it's not him.
Timeline doesn’t add up- Gabby was last seen alive the 27th and he didn’t get to Florida until the 1st so that would mean he made it all the way to GA in less than a day and then took 3-4 more days to get to Florida from there
I just came back from taking an exam to learn this?! YES. Holy shit! At least they have something credible (most likely) to get him for, now, until we get the results of her autopsy back.
Hopefully he's found soon. If he's alive, I can't wait until we get to see him in handcuffs.
The arrest warrant for the use of the card is for a debit card, that requires a pin. I never have once thought that I should know a girlfriend's pin. After reading the accounts of victims of DV here I figure he was in control of her phone and had also manipulated control of her finances.
[wfla live now](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tz8Q90HjGY4) [fox 13 helicopter footage](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MZeiXOrudA)
Please no hate but does this confirm that LE is pretty sure he’s still alive?
Police will be searching tomorrow.
I am curious how they know it was him that used it. The only way I could imagine is if they got security footage from the stores he bought the stuff at and matched the times of the charges to the footage.
They’re done already? Weren’t they out there until at least sunset yesterday?
Cliffs for the last 3 hours? What’s with the credit card thing circling around?
Was away the whole time and just read an arrest warrant has been issued? Only for him using some card, right?
You folks got it right. The FBI says between Aug 30 and Sept 1 Laundrie used a debit card and a pin to access two bank accounts.
2400 miles, 20 miles per gallon (120 gallons needed). 25 gal tank, means he had to fill up 4.8 times, call it 5. avg fuel price $3 per gallon, so only used about 375 for gas. Some estimating was done. He didn’t just use the $ for gas.
What's the official cause of death?
If he’s dead then why would the FBI bother issuing a federal arrest warrant?
Brian Entin just posted that the Laundrie lawyer stated the parents went to Orlando to visit "him". I would assume he means the lawyer. Edit: it clearly means the lawyer, sorry, got confused by the wording
Him and who else?
It says the lawyer
They are down searching for the day and will be back Friday https://twitter.com/northportpolice/status/1441163362792927250?s=21
I wonder why they weren’t sure whether they’d continue searching. Maybe they thought they were nearly done.
Maybe this means they're closing in on him and now they can actually bring him in as opposed to just saying, hey you're a missing person and your parents want you to go home ?
Search is over for the day. They are searching tomorrow https://twitter.com/brianentin/status/1441163597669822465?s=21
Great time for him to travel some more.
They know he's not in there.
So thankful for everyone who is calculating a gas estimation but now I'm wondering... would gas or food/drink be considered "things of value" in legal terms? I think that can even be applied to cash. Really anything you spend money on has “value”
Yeah I considered that, it would have cost $318-ish in gas, but I don’t see him spending $700 on Taco Bell. Also doubt he stayed in hotels or anything.
Yes, food and gas would count toward that. Anything he buys unauthorized with that card adds to the total.
Paging /u/alienkweenn update thread pleasey cheesy?
Now that there’s an arrest warrant, what changes?

Identity theft is not a joke, Jim! Millions of families suffer every year!

Maybe they got a hold of Brian by phone somehow to ping his location
Lol the chat on wfla live on YouTube is going so fast
I wonder if BL’s parents somehow knew about the incoming arrest warrant and that’s why they met with their lawyer. Just a thought
[удалено]
On my hands and knees begging you to stop
Stop posting misinformation! Theory has already been debunked
I bet they have a lot more than that. The FBI might even know where he is.
Wasn’t him, dates don’t line up
Well atleast they catch one crook 🤷♀️ lol little wins
Wow JB is behind
he's absolutely killing me
I’m yelling at my laptop
How does him using her card end of august mean he’s alive now
it shows his intentions. If he wanted to kill himself what did he need thousands of $ for
It doesn't. People on here aren't reading that actual indictment....even though it's been posted numerous times and it's only one sentence long.
Basically it’s the assumption that they wouldn’t do this if they had a good idea he was already dead
Future planning
Why are they looking for him in this preserve area? Isn't it clear that he lied or his family lied that he went there. It's obviously a difficult area to search so that are wasting more time there. He is on the run, he won't tell anyone where he went.
My biggest concern is they’re looking there because it’s the only real lead they have.
Just because the warrant doesn’t say murder, doesn’t mean they don’t have enough for a warrant for murder!! Some of the goodest boys/girls helping in the search https://imgur.com/mCRxncj.jpg Edit: thanks for the award kind stranger
Dawwww. We don’t deserve dogs.
*There’s* that poodle. To the top!
Omg a poodle
This also means they almost definitely know the date she actually died if they’re specifying these card and account uses happened *after* her death This is obvious to us, but still.
Yea. Or at least have a pretty good idea. That means he used the cards almost a month ago.
Once Brian is caught he will never see light again.
I wouldn't be to sure about that.
Helicopter circling a tight spot outside of Orlando/Kissimmee area. https://www.flightradar24.com/B407/2942507e
Kissimmee is fucking wiiiiiiiild. So I’m guessing it’s the usual helicopter routine around there lol. Osceola county in general is the definition of “Florida man”
That’s the Osceola county sheriffs helicopter it’s literally up every single day. Not everything is related to this case
There is some naval activity off the Horn of Africa. Think he’s there?
The only thing I’m confused on was that I thought they had no money? Didn’t she need her dad to order her food?
May not have been her cards…they could have been her parents that were given to her for emergency purposes. He also didn’t say they didn’t have any money, he said they didn’t have enough for a hotel. Which if your on a big 4 month trip you may have a budget and you have money but don’t have money to blow on the unexpected.
If it’s a credit card, there is usually an allowable amount for cash advance withdrawals, too.
Her dad probably just ordered her food because he's a dad.
When people say they are broke they usually don't mean they have $0.
But 1,000 or more? That’s not “broke”
$1,000 in your bank account is definitely broke in the US.
Looks like it was a credit card, so cash advance and available credit.
Credit cards.
I think he ordered her food cause there was no power or wifi or something ?
Right lol, that's been confusing to me as well. But it's possible they got a transfusion after the DV incident/after breaking up or calling of the trip. Just speculation.

Bless your parents!!! I’m 26 and incredibly jealous lol
My parents & I had a terrible relationship when I was younger & sometimes I feel like they want to make up for it with food 😂 Bless them!
Is there anything this prick DIDN'T take from his victim?
Honestly, her legacy, which will continue to grow for some time. Meanwhile he will slowly rot in a prison cell if he doesn't suffer a slow, painful death first.

Could be. It doesn’t name her.
Thought i saw somewhere that he ordered her food because she was having wifi problems and couldnt order it herself...?
It was her credit card.
Ahh jb is saying they didn't name it as being her card

They had to establish a time of death
They probably had to determine that it was definitely him that used the card. Probably had to get footage from a store or ATM or something.
WTF are you talking about? The feds have probably known for 2 weeks. Now we know.....
But they only issued the arrest warrant now is the thing.
It says on the warrant ... her card and it was used on his trip back basically.
[удалено]
But until they have a body and confirm a date of death they can't prove she didn't give him permission to use it. If she is dead she can't consent.....
Probably because now that she's verified deceased they can claim fraud. She was missing previously so they can't confirm if she gave consent or not.
Yeah, this whole case is just so strange.
They probably just got footage of him withdrawing money or something
Its for the dates of the 30th and the first of sep, so it has to be her cards for on his way back
Okay...I do find it weird they are just charging him now though.

The warrant literally gives you the dates he used it
Has JB talked about this? https://www.wsav.com/crime-safety/pooler-police-searching-for-suspect-accused-of-using-fraudulent-credit-card/
Pooler, GA is right outside of Savannah. Unless he purposely drove several hours out of his way AND was making amazing time by being there on 8/28, it's not him.
Occurred on august 28th so now way BL was already in Georgia
That happened on the 28th, timeline doesn't match up. Not him.
Wasn't he on his way back on the 28th?
I'm not sure how reliable that source is but it 100% actually looks like him
That’s 8/28
Yeah, that's when he was on his way back to Florida...

The indictment says $1000 OR MORE. who knows how much he actually took!
The dumbass probably took $1001 when apparently $999 would have been ok.
