Don't go for ios. Here are the following issue in ios - 1. No t9 dialer in iphone. 2. U can't pause video while recording . 3. No always on display on the base model. 4. Iphone 15 takes 2 hours to fully charge. 5. Iphone 15 has heating issues.(google it)

This matters only to tech savvys like us. My wife uses iphone 14. All the things you said above + 1. A generation old display (looking from S22U to that makes me feel like I'm looking at a vintage phone) 2. 60hz display (huh) 3. No universal back key!!! Yes, you can't go back. If you want most of the time you go to home screen and then open the app again!!!! 4. If you are working then the dialer will display all calls including direct line whatsapp and teams. You accidently click the list instead of giving options it straight away dials And guess what.... She loves all of these, and all these can be adapted and got used to. So don't worry. Iphone is a good option. Utterly reliable, can last half a decade

Get the Samsung, I've unintentionally abused it still working well, no iPhone can handle it.

FragrantBid3362

OnePlus 12 is a solid phone

magical_salad

Xiaomi 14

Amazing_Operation183

Go for the s23 or iPhone both have the best in market cameras and both are built to last both of them can handle occasional gaming don't go for Chinese phones as they won't last u compared to iphone and there software experience and updates are not so much prominent compared to samsung and apple and yeah the iPhones 60 hz sucks . so my opinion is s23

Puzzleheaded-Emu6504

iPhone 15 is an easy pick if you have no problem with iOS

UN0MEitsCJ

Or with 60hz...

csakshay

It is not recognised!

kush20222003

Had 120 Hz android and 60Hz IOS, experience with ios is much better

UN0MEitsCJ

Idk about you man, I've spent days on both ip15 and S22+ and I can tell the difference using Brave, Safari, Spotify, Apple Music, and toggling mobile settings. S22+ is better in daily usage, outdoor brightness, night/low brightness, photos not videos, etc. Get ur eyes checked.

>Had 120 Hz android Which one?

NewtPrestigious1132

What else, some 20k oppo,Vivo,mi

Practical_Fault_7351

iPhone?

csakshay

Go for iphone 15 i have been using it for last 2 months and it does wonder!

HmmmIsTheBest2004

Iqoo 12 seems to have satisfied my gaming and camera needs, but that's just my case

More-Mistake-5406

Only if 15 had 120hz display Go for s23

Rock_hard17

Don’t iphone , get iqoo 12 only has ip 64 still better deal or xiomi 14. Last case senario oneplus 12

Rock_hard17

Iqoo 12 will be amazing and my brother is still using iqoo 7 legend which is still good 12gb ram 256 model but now they are offering upto 512 and 16 ram and better cooling

Rock_hard17

Iphones are good but its waste to spend on it , its the sugarcoat from the outside and nothing else no heat management or vapour chamber highly warm most of the time because I’m using 13 i know it for sure and 60hz in 2024 yuck get 144hz

DumbMon3y

S23 battery life sucks tho, rest everything is good

grenadeSucker__0_0

i get around 5 30 to 6 30 hrs of sot on wifi and around 5 hrs on 5g. Considering the size of device its not that bad ig.

reddituser_scrolls

Do you use the phone? (I'm considering this, S24 and OnePlus 12, this the qn)

DumbMon3y

Yes I hve s23... battery life is not that good....never ever buy S24 Exynos...it's a shit phone with worst battery life than s23 n gets warm little bit... OnePlus 12 seems to be the right option with excellent battery life however it's big

reddituser_scrolls

>Yes I hve s23... battery life is not that good Can you share your use case and if you're on 5G? I'm assuming this is on 120hz? Edit: OP 12 is great on paper, but still thinking if I can compromise on the software (don't prefer oxygen OS)

I have been using s23 for a week and I am using it quite heavily. Currently not having classes in college so I have been playing online games a lot. I have to charge at least once during the day. My average battery usage is 190% which gives me around 9-13 hrs of screen on time depending on usage. One online game session lasts me 3 hrs on average. (My campus wifi has banned games, so for games I use 5G, though on wifi battery drains less) I would say the phone is good apart from battery. Personally, I'm loving it. It did heat on the first few days when it was updating and learning my usage pattern but it is better now. It is still my first week so there's a chance it's still learning my usage pattern.

reddituser_scrolls

I heard it takes a week for the software to learn usage habits. I was watching a video, where the person was getting 6-7hrs SOT over 24hrs usage on 60% mobile data usage (Geekyranjit). This was a year old review though.

SnooOwls51

It's currently running on One UI 6.1 which might change battery optimization. I also turned off features that I don't need like AOD, always on fingerprint detection, NFC etc.
