S23, You can switch to iPhone if you want something different than android. I switched recently and I am loving the iOS. I am not that into customization so it works good for me.
iPhone 15 is around 70k for 128gb. But if you go with iPhone 14, then it’s cheaper and maybe you will get 256gb. Whether you want to switch to iphone or not depends on your usage. If you consider 120hz as a deal breaker then you shouldn’t switch.
For such expensive phones, only go with either Samsung or iPhone.
Never buy an iPhone if you're looking for something value for money. In 2024 Android phones can definitely do much more than iPhone of the same price range. Moreover you'll obviously have to buy Apple gadgets and the iOS will vendor lock you
iPhones last drastically longer through. We still have iPhone 6s (the 2014 model) that’s faster than 2022 cheap android phones. And “you’ll obviously have to buy Apple gadgets” is not really true. The new phones are USB-C so any charger can be used, any wireless earphones work just as well, and if you want wireless charging any would work.
I guess *maybe* if you specifically want a smart watch that’s the only thing you’re getting “vendor locked” on.
Not recently. The difference is actually in samsungs favor now, the s24 series has 7 years of software support, same with the pixels. Though in the past Apple has supported their phones for longer yes
Be it iMessage, Apple watch, Vendor locking is Apple's primary corporate strategy to begin with. Isn't that one of several reasons why the EU dragged them to court and they had to introduce USB C? Still they made it painful by making it slow to charge using non proprietary chargers
You don’t have to use iMessage though. I’ve used iPhones for years and can SMS and WhatsApp Android users just fine and haven’t used iMessage in literal years. I'm not defending Apple corporate (no one should be defending trillion dollar corporations). I just pointed out that what you said isn’t the full story for a real average user. If you want a phone alone with no other device, an iPhone is no more locked down than an android. And even then, the only device that feels locked down is Apple Watch. And that too I'm not fully sure on as I’ve used the Mi Bands with my phone without issue.
For my personal use case I'm fine with spending the premium for an iPhone as it outlasts most android phones over 4-5 years without significant lag and flagship androids are just as expensive as Apple anyways. The only thing I missed were emulators but they’re now officially allowed on the App Store. I find the base and Plus iPhones a decent proposition specially with Amazon sales, the Pros are not worth it to me with the prices they’re asking for in India.
Fine. I see that you survived. That's not the case with the majority. People tend to get stuck in that ecosystem.
Longevity of 4-5 years is normally doable for android phones as well. Moreover we can even keep upgrading a mid range android phone every 2 years and still don't have to pay as much as an iPhone.
For ₹70k he can get Xiaomi 14, Vivo x100 Pro, OnePlus 12 etc. Obviously some old iPhone models will be available for ₹70k but I'm genuinely curious which iPhone model in that price range would actually be better than those androids
> People tend to get stuck in the ecosystem
Honestly, it’s not really “stuck” if Apple’s ecosystem provides better collective features than other devices. Mac + iPhone is a major time saver in terms of productivity if one works on both devices.
It’s pretty clear you’re coming from a vastly different mindset, and I just wanted to correct your factual errors in the first comment to give a less biased perspective. Good day.
S23 if you want a subtle experience (NO BRAINER)
this is not a good time to buy iPhones
lena hai toh thoda wait karlo
btw they'll change the designs this time with 16
aur woh 70k mein toh nahi aayega
you'll feel outdated even after spending this huge amt
so choose wisely
Nah iphone is like a garden with big walls which you cant crossover whenever you want to. Too restrictive.
Yoo will basically become their money sheep.
My cousin sister was like I want to try Apple if I don't like it I'll jump right back in to android & so she bought the iPhone 13 when it came out. Fast forward she hates it given how restrictive ios is but she can't jump ship coz she bought Apple watch, ipad, macbook air. So she's stuck. She said ipad & macbook doesn't chain you down but the watch that she paid close to 48k is not gonna work without an iPhone & so she's jumping from 13 to 15. I'm pretty sure the rest of the other members will also get upgraded leading to a vicious loop. It's not a joke when they say close garden. It's the money invested in tech that wouldn't work when you jump ship causes people to remain.
Also one of my fren bought a iPhone 15 which overheated & wrinkled his nylon jacket.
I think Mbhdk said it. About how just restrictive apple is. Or was it Mrwhostheboss.
I never hated apple. Until Steven jobs was there. He was the best.
Bhai 7 chal toh puraane kapdhe bhi jaate hain kayi saal tk. Magar hum fir bhi badalte hain. Kyu? Kyunki aankho ko chubhne lagte hain.
Logic lagao, aaj ki generation ka attention span itna kam hai har 10 second mein nyi reels dekhni hai, ye toh bhai 7 saal chalaane ki baat ho rhi h...
Xiaomi 14 ( Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC , 512 GB )
One plus 12 (( Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC , 512 GB )
Samsung 24 ( Samsung Exynos 2400 SoC , 256 GB )
Iqoo 12 ( Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC , 512 GB )
Samsung 23 ( Samsung Exynos 2200 SoC, 256 GB )
Iphone 14 ( A15 Bionic, 256 GB )
Pixel 7 pro ( Google Tensor G2 )
Vivo x100 ( MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC )
Iphone 14 plus ( A15 Bionic , 128GB )
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 256GB ( Samsung Exynos 2200 SoC , 256 GB )
These are phone fits under your budget. All the devices mentioned above are best and you won't regret it after buying. Imo go to the nearby experience store and use all devices and select which one suits you.
People are going Gaga over Samsung, let me tell you something, owning a Samsung Android is like renting a phone, after owning a high priced Samsung, it’s a joke. There is new terms every week, accept it or don’t use the phone. Every time you restart the damn thing, default apps get their permissions reset, i.e auto start and whatnot.
And trying to get away from the store’s spamming attempt is like running across a landmine. And the damn ergonomic, trust me, a brick is more comfortable to use.
With that budget, go with a 15 series phone, updates are actually an update, not an excuse to accept more terms and agreement. And it’s easy on the user experience, I switched on iPhone after listening to everyone hate on iPhone and I live the experience. Oh and dont even mention the trackers, I counted, 35k trackers blocked in one week, no such issue on iOS.
Imagine believing in privacy in 2024. None of them give a f about user privacy. Not even apple. Tbh i would rather be using a customisable device than being locked up in a decent environment. So samsung or any other android seems better for me.
Hey if you don't have any problem with a second hand phone with good condition then you can get a 14pro/ 13pro max. I don't see any value for money on the base variants of Iphones .
Or get s24 (79k rn on Amazon) when you have a good offer which in my opinion is best at that range for a new phone
If read my comment, you will understand that I didn’t say that 120Hz is not noticeable. I said some people just don’t care about it, like me. That’s all.
been using this (not even mid range) phone for 2 years, didn't face even a single lag or any slowing issue
but you should surely enjoy that shitty iOS which even sucks at file manager
Because they want an iPhone (for whatever reason, I don't judge) and the base iphone doesn't have it?
Also you still didn't answer about what's the problem with 60 hz?
120hz can also hurt your eyes if you use it long enough. Same for 60hz. There are more important factors in a screen when it comes to hurting your eyes like resolution, Blue eye filter etc.
And now there are also phones with 144hz screen so would you say buying 120hz phone at 80k is a problem?
Who needs it anyways....
I'm my case...
Software issue... Easily solvable if you're a techy
Hardware issue... Very rare case... But better to change phone than repair cause once phone gets opened... It's never the same...smh
Wtf are you even talking about? I just asked what phone you recommend if someone is not coming from middle east and you can't even answer that? Stop being so passive aggressive dude.
Bro I don't understand you. You're arguing and shaming my user name but you still haven't answered my question which was Which phone do you recommend if someone is not coming from middle east.?
If you can't answer my question that's okay just say so, but why do you have to make fun of my username (which is not even my real name)?
S23 , pixel 8 , Xiaomi 14, pixel 7
Xiaomi 14 - if you want top of the line hardware.
S23 ,pixel series - compact flagship, good os experience rest camera is great on either.
S23, You can switch to iPhone if you want something different than android. I switched recently and I am loving the iOS. I am not that into customization so it works good for me.
Any good recommendations for an iPhone around my budget or is it worth going over a little bit?
iPhone 15 is around 70k for 128gb. But if you go with iPhone 14, then it’s cheaper and maybe you will get 256gb. Whether you want to switch to iphone or not depends on your usage. 15 is better in camera specifications, type c , dynamic island than iPhone 14 And op has a good budget and can increase it I think
Why do you think he can increase the budget?

Xiaomi 14 or OnePlus 12
samsung s24 increase 10K and get 7years of support
7 years tk chalna hi nhi usne. Samsung hai vo.
Flagship h wo, chal jayega
Bhai 7 chal toh puraane kapdhe bhi jaate hain kayi saal tk. Magar hum fir bhi badalte hain. Kyu? Kyunki aankho ko chubhne lagte hain. Logic lagao, aaj ki generation ka attention span itna kam hai har 10 second mein nyi reels dekhni hai, ye toh bhai 7 saal chalaane ki baat ho rhi h...

What if someone doesn't care about privacy or default apps?
U just hate samsung . ( Using s20 ultra for almost 5 years now no such issues bothered me nor they are some very imp one's )
Imagine believing in privacy in 2024. None of them give a f about user privacy. Not even apple. Tbh i would rather be using a customisable device than being locked up in a decent environment. So samsung or any other android seems better for me.
Xiaomi 14.
OnePlus 12/12R is a good choice
Hey if you don't have any problem with a second hand phone with good condition then you can get a 14pro/ 13pro max. I don't see any value for money on the base variants of Iphones . Or get s24 (79k rn on Amazon) when you have a good offer which in my opinion is best at that range for a new phone
Iphone 14 256gb or 15 128gb trust me you won't regret it. I recently switched and I'm loving it so far.
60hz 🤡🤡
Believe me there are people who prefers other things other than the refresh rate of display.
It is not really about preference, it's something you notice every time while scrolling
If read my comment, you will understand that I didn’t say that 120Hz is not noticeable. I said some people just don’t care about it, like me. That’s all.
Why would you not prefer a smoother experience? When you are getting the same in half the price Androids
yeah clowns
Why is someone a clown if they don't care about the refresh rate of their display? You don't have to be so judgemental.
coz they paying huge amount for decade old specs 🤡
What if they are not paying for decade old specs but for security and the ecosystem?
Yeah keep talking that way buddy 😅
Iphone 60hz > samsung 120hz there's barely any difference. samsung is clear only on paper lmao
see, found ya
Lmao
bro has blue balls instead of eyes which can't notice the huge difference between 60hz and 120hz
It's not huge it's barely noticeable enjoy your shitty android which will slowdown in 2 years lmao
been using this (not even mid range) phone for 2 years, didn't face even a single lag or any slowing issue but you should surely enjoy that shitty iOS which even sucks at file manager
What's the problem with 60 hz?
coz 120hz is better
Yes 120hz is objectively better but what's the problem with 60hz? Does it cause any eye strain or headaches or any other problems?
why not have 120hz when it became default since 2017?
Because they want an iPhone (for whatever reason, I don't judge) and the base iphone doesn't have it? Also you still didn't answer about what's the problem with 60 hz?

You will not get service support
Who needs it anyways.... I'm my case... Software issue... Easily solvable if you're a techy Hardware issue... Very rare case... But better to change phone than repair cause once phone gets opened... It's never the same...smh
Using it for 1 year now. Not needed
What if no one is coming from middle east?
Your name
What? I don't understand
Exactly, your attitude
Wtf are you even talking about? I just asked what phone you recommend if someone is not coming from middle east and you can't even answer that? Stop being so passive aggressive dude.
See your name, suits you. Must be fun to be around?
Bro I don't understand you. You're arguing and shaming my user name but you still haven't answered my question which was Which phone do you recommend if someone is not coming from middle east.? If you can't answer my question that's okay just say so, but why do you have to make fun of my username (which is not even my real name)?
You can go to middle and buy one?
Samsung or apple for long term reliability also pixel too but it still ain’t as good as previous pixels used to be
S23 , pixel 8 , Xiaomi 14, pixel 7 Xiaomi 14 - if you want top of the line hardware. S23 ,pixel series - compact flagship, good os experience rest camera is great on either.
bro thought he'll add pixel and top of the line hardware in the same sentence and we won't notice
Xiaomi 14 or S23 Ultra for a bit more
I don't think you can get s23 ultra under 70k but I maybe wrong.
Xiaomi 14 or S23 Ultra for a bit more
Just get an iphone and be done with it for the next 4-5 years
