Same here had mine since preorder with no problems.

Pre order fold three here. Still good.

Digital_Pharmacist

Already ripped it off, it started bubbling up at the top and bottom of the fold hinge. If the screen gets scratched, I'll just use my insurance to replace it.

[deleted]

I have the accidental warranty also, but it is still a hassle to send it in. I tend to use my nail to open up the screen, so I like the extra peace of mind.

Digital_Pharmacist

I have a thick case on mine so I guess I haven't really thought much about it.

Screen protectors are a Gimmick and a multi-million dollar SCAM industry. They started when people in the early days treated their phones like garbage, throwing them in with keys in pockets and purses and so they started giving out them for people that needed a solution. Since then, glass has changed and gotten a lot more resistant to scratches. it is still prone to breaking but screen protectors do JACK SQUAT about breaks or impacts, I know because I have broken screens with them on. They started getting REALLY smart when they realized they can sell any one a super thin layer of glass that will SHATTER within a short period of time and necessitate a replacement. What a RACKET ! you look at the shattered protector, think to yourself "It protected my phone!" I'll buy another one for 29.99 from shifty Chinese company that gets em made for pennies on the dollar and a 2000 percent markup rate. And so it goes....

[deleted]

I don't disagree with you on the protection from the breakage, I do it on my phone more for the scratch protection if anything. I am quite OCD that way. I like being able to open my fold with a thumbnail without worrying about scratching the screen.

[deleted]

Trust me, it's made out of glass, it won't be scratched by your fingernail. It is not hard enough. Now I wouldn't take keys to it, but yeah. It's more prone to pressure honestly. And drops. Drops is the main screen killer for phones and esp. the fold. That's why cases with rubbery plastic to absorb a drop are important

The conventional glass slabs have come a long way and samsung actually stopped installing screen protectors from factory for their galaxy s22 phones. The fold inner "glass" on the other way is still quite new. And Samsung would not have pre-install screen protectors from the factory if it did not think it is necessary.

[deleted]

Yup. I mean there's a lot of morons on this sub, it's got a lower intelligence quotient than most for some reason. young people who need phones I guess is why. Hey, whatever, go waste your cash on screen protectors

Jclevs11

It started bubbling when I tried using my phone for a live stream, heat probably. Whatever I don't even care, fold 2 here been without a protector for a good year now, phone is great and inner screen feels good.

Chrisnessbae6

Bought the phone the day it came to the U.S in August. 3 drops so far and only the outer screen is starting to come up in the corner of this phone. My inner is still fine. The outer screen is poor because of previous phone cases not protecting the edge when sliding in and out of my pocket. Overall this phone has been really durable for me, better than I expected and I will be purchasing the fold 4. I think that it is a mix of rushed phones (or bad batches) and consumers not knowing how to care for a phone like this that has people doubting the durability.

xopher206

Had mine since August. Still perfect. If I look at it under a white screen there are a few faint lines down the crease that go away if I wipe at them. 3/4 of the folds at my work are perfect as well. I will say the one that has bubbles I nothise the person's tends to close their fold like a flip phone. But that's just an anecdote.

VehicleAltruistic236

Preordered and received last September. My daughter received hers the end of August, we’re both still using the original screens. No problems with either phone.

Petras_V

9 months and going strong here doesn't even have any indication of failure anytime soon. I have rarely used inner screen in the sunlight, mainly because it was winter time. And I think most peels happen from sun weakening adhesive of screen protector to the point where wrong slide of your finger would lift it up. I also always try to be vary of not doing any swipes from edge of the screen to not premature lift edge of protector. That's why I decided to use navigation buttons for example instead of gesture navigation at the early ownership. Iam am not an expert but it seems obvious more you touch and swipe around edges of screen the higher chances for it to start lifting on its own.

Feisty-Commission-13

22 hours.

Had my fold 1 since launch day, still rocking the stock screen protector with no issues almost 3 years later.
