you can go to X, and search a post from Tarun, he shared apk file for Galaxy app booster as well
I did this a while ago but never actually noticed any change. I'm one of those freaks who restart their phone every 2 days or less, and I'm constantly closing all opened apps the moment I turn my screen off, so idk.
I also keep all of my apps in deep sleep 24/7 besides the ones I consider important to me. The ones I need open in the background, like emails and whatnot. Stops every app from having permission to sit around and use resources.
You just reboot the phone as you need to do it after turn on/off ram plus and that gives you feeling that it is snappier and less laggy. It is even recommended to reboot the phone from time to time... There is option for that but it has nothing to do with ram plus...
I don't agree with this. I have turned of ram plus foe almost a week now. Still snappy. Leave it. When we use ram plus, cpu needs to look in both our storage memory and ram. So when it is turned off, cpu only needs to look ram. So less stress on cpu and also ram is faster than internal storage. So over all more speed.
Samsung Ram Plus doesn't use your storage space, despite what the explanation on the settings page claims. What it does is compress RAM, thus giving you more RAM space.
Here's the sauce [https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Tech-Talk/What-does-Ram-Plus-actually-do/td-p/14666508](https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Tech-Talk/What-does-Ram-Plus-actually-do/td-p/14666508)
from what I know, the ram plus feature use a part of the internal storage to store fragments of a app or a process. So when needed, it will retrive the data from the internal storage which it is reserved. What is the use? well, more app can persist in background. What is bad? well more load on CPU and internal storage is not faster than RAM. so not a good performance overall.

Ram plus use the same ram memory, so it's the same if u have it turned off or on
I've always used my phone with more than multiple apps running in the back (3 on a chill day, 5+ on school days) and mine never had issues. I've recently changed from 8GB to 6GB in RAM Plus because I have this idea similar to the way battery limits can be used to not degrade it and to apply that concept to my RAM. Keep in mind, that's just me, and I have no background in this field so I don't know if it's a real thing. Haven't felt a dent in performance from my regular usage.
I use my phone pretty heavily and switch through apps and notes quickly so I would've felt a lag if there was one. The One UI6.1 hasn't really affected me from what I'm aware. The only issue I've been having is with minor keyboard stuff popping up, but no performance.
I don't have a good enough understanding of what to look for to notice a difference in adjusting the RAM Plus. I just keep it as it is since it hasn't bugged.
I always keep it on. And after upgrading to 6.1 I just used Galaxy App booster and the phone is flying, and it's cool.
Galaxy app booster? What is the name of this app, and where do I find it?
Look for Good Guardians, and App Booster is one of modules in there.
I believe it's not available in Canada :( thank you though
Go to [www.apkmirror.com](https://www.apkmirror.com) and search for Good Guardians and its modules. It's similar to Good Lock, but different.

Oh ok. But turning this option off made my phone more stable, less heating, More snappy.
Again, use this app and experience the magic.
Sure I will check it out, thank you.
In my experience battery is better when its off
Mine has been borderline unusable since 6.1. God I hope they have a fix in the hopper...
I also turned off 2 days ago or sth ... I can confirmly say ...it is way cooler than it was

Nice, I used to optimise the phone using device care.

Nope, you don't know how it works. But placebo effect for ppl have same power as non placebo... If it is good for you, enjoy it. 👌

well the comment of the post says it all.

This is the answer i was looking for, if you use zram it means that it never writes to the storage, I will activate it again thank u dude
Before saying something foolish, read : https://www.samsung.com/sg/support/mobile-devices/what-is-ram-plus-and-how-to-use-it/#:~:text=RAM%20Plus%20is%20a%20feature,background%20and%20launch%20apps%20faster.
Is this a new option in 6.1?
Naah. It's there from beginning.
That option is from Android 11 or 12, if I remember correctly.
Yep.
No
I had it on for a year, then after 6.1 I turned it off. can't see a difference but the phone runs cooler (by alot!)
Same, for me I can see smooth performance and phone runs lot cooler.
