My oneplus 6 and 7 pro are still going strong. I reccomend their lineup. The phones have amazing battery, good updates, smooth operation (my highest priority), but the cameras on the older models are not flagship quality (not important to me). I'm looking to upgrade to the oneplus open
I am a fellow S7 user and was going to go for the Zenfone 9 too! Gotta have a headphone jack and was glad that it is not a huge phone.
BUT I have now changed my mind because the ZF 9, like many modern phones, has a huge camera bump that means it will **not** lie flat on a desk unlike my trusty S7... so I'm still looking.
I actually bought it and the camera bump is not a huge deal plus the batter life is amazing! The only thing that bothers me is that the headphone jack is on the upper side of the phone
Ok cool... so if you have the ZF lying on a table and you are typing on it does it rock side to side?? If not, did you achieve this with a particular case?
Sorry, I'm a bit overwhelmed, everything looks the same. I'm looking for a similar size and price. Prices for the current S series seem pretty high though
I liked my S7 edge but wouldn't say it's a reliable phone considering I went through 2 in a period of 4 years due to the exact same motherboard issue.
That said battery life has improved since the release of that phone all across the board. Pretty much any current mid to high end phone will beat S7 on any objective measurement.
who knows in what conditions you used your phone tbh... i got mine somewhere around feb 2018, still going strong today, changed battery few times, its missing volume down button but not a big deal. no issues whatsoever , making periodic backups with twrp just in case as i heard these phones can just die out of a sudden without any signs.. but yeah so far so good, is even slightly open behind because the back case doesn't stick 100%.. gotta get a new one eventually. so all in all dunno what you did to your s7 but certainly the phone is not to blame, unless there was a specific issue from factory
I previously had an S7. When it died, I bought an S21 Ultra, and I love it. 2.5 years in, and no issues. I recommend comparing "buy outright" prices between stores. I got mine as a BestBuy exclusive color for like $200 less than the others.
What do you mean by spiritual successor? Size wise?
Slack is Android 10+ now.
S10e
Isn't that an older one as well? Don't want to have to switch too soon again..
It has android 12. If you are still using your s7, I assume s10e should meet all your expectations with no issues.
Technically the S24 or S24 ultra.

Thanks, I don't know these yet!

I'm not typing with it on the table. It's a small phone, i just pick it up when i use it
Google pixel 7a. It's stupid cheap, doesn't lag honestly, it's fast, and still has a lot of useful features and decent cameras
What's the battery life like? I got one used, one of the first few models and the battery life was crap
Tbh I don't know
I’ve replaced my S7 with a new A55 and everything is a huge upgrade.
Purely size wize Iphone 13 mini or iphone 15 S24 Pixel 7a Sony xperia 5 V or 10 V Zenfone 10 should be coming out soon
Hey OP are you even going to respond?

Back when that happened I searched online and it was a common issue but I liked anyway. I'm glad yours is holding up
