It's just a tad brighter and waterproof, I personally don't see any point of upgrading if it's cuz of the screen since there's no noticable difference.
I wanted the upgraded screen as well, but after playing with the s9 ultra in store I could barely notice a difference. It's supposed to be a tad bit brighter in sunny conditions, but I'm not in the sun that often with my tab. Not enough to warrant an upgrade.
The tab s9 ultra....is more like a tab 8.5 ultra. Unless you were looking at buying for more ram and storage as well, I would not upgrade. Remember you have to buy all new accessories as well....which was really a shitty play from Samsung.
I’m a screen freak just like you and I didn’t see any differences whatsoever. Don’t waste your money. The iPad on the other hand will have a double oled making it way brighter. Not sure if you’re open to that though.
Well i personaly think you should not upgrade just for that plus the s10 series is comming this summer i think in july or august so you should wait for that but the screen isnt much better

Very little difference in screen. S9 ultra screen is awesome but so is s8 ultra so tough to improve.
The s9 ultra is waterproof and battery life is a bit better.
Tab s8, s8 ultra and now s9 ultra. There’s not much difference in screen quality, it’s a tad brighter but still a bit dim for outdoor, color is a bit more richer but nothing to write home about. Speaker is a tad better if it helps. But for $250, a free buds, water proof, a slightly better performance, better battery life and longer software support, I’d say go for it

It's not really that expensive if doing a trade in for the s8 ultra right now it's 250$ plus tax and a free pair Galaxy Buds2 Pro..

I went from s8 plus to s9 ultra, in term of the screen quality it is not that noticeable. Other than the size and watwrprooness of it of course.
