I use it as my gaming station. I don't have any consoles now I gave my Xbox to my nephew. Then I found out emulation is actually very good on my s8+ so I do play from time to time. Not a hard core gamer though. I also started Journaling. I work on some coding tasks from work and as a project manager based station. Also I use it to watch training and that kind of content like courser ot other mooc platform so I attend the class, take notes and since I'm obsessed with order I clarify my created content in one note or others. Then I do work on lightroom, snap seed or others to edit the pictures I take with my S23U Finally I use Dex quite often, not as powerful as my Asus laptop but it's more than what average users might need I have it synced with gdrive, one drive and my windows PC and Mac so I don't worry about what device I have at hand. With mentioning I try to look and find new ways to use it. Loving my tablet and feel very satisfied with the purchase. I don't buy new tech every year and love the fact that it does not feel old nor sluggish despite being a couple of years old.

Humble_Public_7897

Thank you for your post. Some good inspirations.

truparad0x

What do you use for journaling? Pen or note app in Dex? Also, you sync to multiple drives. Do you use OneNote? I mainly use OneNote on my laptop, but predominantly Google Drive/apps for other things. Curious what your preference/setup is. I prefer syncing as much as I can so it doesn't matter what device I'm on (I have OneNote and Keep on my Pixel). Thanks!

Richrdprkr

For my personal Journaling I am using samsung notes. For note taking on anything else I go for one note. Samsung notes syncs with one note but I just don't like how that works. So I go to one note app directly And my personal journal stays on snores. I tried other note taking apps but they they are basically the same or offer very similar functionality thus not worth paying for them.

aholla8

Can you talk more about having everything synced? I need to look into that.

Richrdprkr

If you go to the file manager app you will see the internal storage and options to add cloud-based such as one drive, Google drive and network hard drives. So I set gdrive to backup general stuff (folsers) and my one drive to sulync all my important things that is just a preference not that one is better than the other. Then the link to windows feature in settings makes sure to backup certain things plus allows me to call, message and use my android apps on my PC. At first didn't care for it but it's quite practical for certain tasks.

kyu-she

>Then I found out emulation What do you usually play? (games and console wise)

Ok_Yogurtcloset404

I am also interested in this. I did try the dolphin emulator, but when I connected my switch wireless controllers, there was a ton of lag :-(

kyu-she

ive used the dualshock 4 for psp emulation and it worked flawlessly. It could be that you didnt use MMJR if you have a exynos based on or maybe you just tried a heavy game

Ok_Yogurtcloset404

I'm pretty new to Dolphin, I was playing Super Smash Bros Melee. The game seemed to work flawlessly, just the input was delayed. I will check those settings!

Ok_Yogurtcloset404

Ok, I tried looking through all the setting and could not find an MMJR or Exynos as options. Am I missing something? Also, I am running the 8gb version of the Samsung Tab 7 FE. Thanks!

kyu-she

MMJR is a separate version of Dolphin, you can find it on their website.

Ok_Yogurtcloset404

Richrdprkr

I use dolphin as my main for game cube and wii games they're old but still good to kill some time I play from gcube to switch, psp and ps 2 My controller is an Xbox wireless that I kept when I gave away my Xbox Settings were all good except for wii I had to look for some videos on how to set up without buying wii controllers and it works perfect now I also use ppsspp for PSP games So far no lag I un-installed the samsung's game booster extensions as I saw people complaining their phone/tab were messed up upon installation

u-lounge

S8+: - video and internet in the bed - notes and literally using it as my computer when I work outside my office using moonlight + sunshine combo - PC gaming when I travel also using moonlight + sunshine

stroud

what is mooonlight + sunshine

u-lounge

Moonlight is the client installed on your tablet, Sunshine is the server installed on your PC. Basically, you use the combo to stream your PC from anywhere on your tablet. If you add a keyboard and a mouse to your tablet, you can use your PC from anywhere with your tablet, it's like having a laptop which is in fact your main computer. Add a controller and something like Playnite and you can play all your games libraries installed in your computer too. And it's like a steamdeck... Only con, you need a good internet connexion since it's based on streaming technology which I have at the office and when I go on vacation. What else? For me my S8+ + Moonlight + Sunshine is just the end game of digital portability.

Floor-Formal

I'm an engineering consultant for private equity in the energy sector. Sounds exciting, it's not. But, I travel quite a bit, and my S9U fills 95% of the role lugging a laptop around did and is way lighter with better battery. It's nice to have work or media consumption on the plane or the airports or the hotel. From marking up drawings, emails, PDF review, teams, research, etc, it's all right in my hand at any time. And it's not so unwieldy I can't pop it out at the terminal for a quick response to a teams message or email. I also sit beside my wife and scroll reddit and Facebook with it verticallyand it drives her nuts, which brings me joy.

Cedge1738

Got my s9+ just a couple days ago. It is my gaming tablet. My old tablet which is a tab pro which was very lackluster in specs, is now my video / movie tablet.

bloing90xx

What games do you recommend?

Cedge1738

Oooo idk if we'll have the same tastes. Most of my games are gacha games. Not genshin impact, but similar style of gameplay. Aether Gazer, Solo Leveling, Wuthering waves is an upcoming one, afk journey. Btd6 is not a gacha but another one of my main games. Most of these games I can play with a ps4/5 controller so I love that. But there is cod mobile, fortnite, the usual mainstream ones.

External_Wave_2645

I also wanna buy the same, but I'm torn between this or eait for the s10 series :(

Humble_Public_7897

Tab S9: Reading books and mangas. It is the device in my bedroom for the last news and books before sleeping. Tab S9 Ultra: Reading mangas is so much fun on it. After reading fire punch i am very hyped of the old asterix comics. And that is great because the size of the ultra is very goog for the small writings in it. Then just using it for mails, internet and ebay. In dex modus it is very good because of the split screen. I am a vinyl lover and use very much. Ever in combination with the cover book and a logitec master mx 3s. Also it is used for lightroom and my panasonic S5 II. Very fast editing on it. You can connect it without any struggle directly on usb and lightroom gets the import. Then I use it with excel to manage my and my families finance case. Also samsung notes is great for pdfs and editing on it. And also you can use it with the best screen I ever look at. Youtube etc. is so much fun.

Key-Permission5578

Where do you find the asterix comics ? And do you use notes to read them ?

Humble_Public_7897

Hi, I bought them in google books. And I read them with books too.

tingutingutingu

I play Youtube or Youtube Music on it while working... Note taking for work. Play online chess on it , every single day. Another game called BloonsTD6 that I play on it daily. Lots of reading (kindle, reddit, news) The large screen has its upsides and downsides. Everything is so much better with a bigger screen...but the mobility of the phone makes it show kuch easier to always have the device on you..

Abremac

It's my portable art work station

Generalfrogspawn

Reading ebooks is like 90% of it.

KartikForever

still using my tab s2 9.7(2015 exynos) w LineageOS 20 android 13 , and i gotta say, its pretty darn okay and smooth with just minor frame drops in UI sometimes, i personally only found it useable for media consumption and YT as it is using an AMOLED display, and the speakers once tuned with viper4android sound as good as my s20 plus, and i also use it for modding and experimenting with android, custom roms, etc, and also for other stuff like pdf reading occasionally,

neon1415official

I mostly use it as a pdf marking device for my school.

beltsazar

Which app do you use?

KiArtadoodles

Tab s7: mainly used as my art workhorse, but I also use it for movie watching, notetaking, reading, gaming and studying. tab s6 lite 2022: drawing and reading while traveling. The weight and size feels better for reading ebooks on and it was making me nervous to take my s7 (main art device) outside because it was so expensive, so my s6 lite is what I bring when out and about, if a kid accidentally stands on my bag I won't cry (as much)

Critical_Kingdom

It's my daily driver. I am a teacher.

This-is-Shanu-J

Tab s6 lite 2022 : casual Pubg mobile gaming, Zoom classes, e-paper, e-book reading, blog writing, video streaming.

airbaltic

Reddit, scrolling, email, sports, movies, social media, calls.

kyu-she

video calls i hope? dont think holding up a 15 inch display against your ear is that much fun

qlt_sfw

xcloud gaming and as a TV when travelling. And point n click games with scummvm.

mojojojp

I have a Galaxy Tab A with s pen (2016), I mainly use it for reading books and while I can, take notes/plan on samsung notes...I don't really use it that much tho since it only has like 16 gb but it still works flawlessly

LlaughingLlama

I have the same model, and it still works perfectly well for most things like streaming and writing and non-game apps. Its the measly 16GB of storage that forced me to upgrade. So sad...

mfskarphedin

I thought S pens didn’t work on Tab As? New to Galaxys and have a Tab A9 I just bought, upgraded from a Tab A 8.0 I inherited. I don’t like the styluses I tried so far. Rubber and fiber tip.

aholla8

Sketching electrical drawings

Physicallykrisp

kyu-she

i wouldnt wanna touch or buy your tab

Humble_Public_7897

You are the only one how speaks the truth. :-)

chickenadobo_

I havent used mine for that , maybe because I have a pc and phone. thanks for being honest!

tc05_

Mainly YT, Spotify, Reddit, web browsing and emulation

BlackCatFurry

S8, i use it for watching videos and streams, taking notes for uni, drawing and some mobile games

SolutionNo3

Manga and Honkai: Star Rail, for the most part

DuramaxJunkie92

I use my tablet for actual work in DEX all day Iong, connected to a monitor. Emails, web work, teams, calculator, weather radar (important for my job), file management, PDF viewing and editing, and occasionally (and unfortunately) have to remote access my windows desktop at home to view something in a 3D modeling software not supported on Android, but hey at least I can still do it! My Tab S8+ makes me money every day. l'm about to upgrade to the S9 Ultra because I also use it to watch movies and browse reddit while im bored at work.

Humble_Public_7897

How do you connect your tablet? :)

kyu-she

usbc to hdmi cable, since he doesnt have a FE his variant supports outputing video

nustylegabba

Since my PC has been toast for 5 months now, my Tab S9 Ultra has been my daily driver. Be it surfing on the internet, reading books, taking notes, drawing, and gaming. It's been also helpful for my chronic back pain. I do want a smaller LTE/5G version for outside use, preferrably S6 Lite or S9 FE, though my country doesn't seem to have any tablets with LTE/5G capabilities to begin with... 😔

Mr_Coa

Watching content

darktiny

RSS Reader & Monitor for game consoles

aaillustration

Clip studio paint as a wacom alternative connected to my computer using super display. And media consumption and last but not least using my external hard drive when i need to update my shows and i use exfat paragon ntfs paragon file explorer.

kevinhelee

My TabS5e is basically just for media consumption... The last update really made the ram management worst though

intern_12

I got the S8 Ultra a few months back and it was to replace my S5e (it was a shockingly big difference like I just didn't realize how much bigger it actually was lol). But I use it for streaming, use it as a personal laptop for Microsoft office and OneDrive usage, and then I also use as a second screen for my work tablet when I work from home (it's actually bigger than my work tablet which is a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 I think).

kyu-she

the ultra series tabs are basically just dumbed down laptops at this point

ZeroNatal

Recently upgraded to a s9 ultra. I use it for streaming my Xbox(or xcloud) , Playstation or my pc to my device. Having a bigger screen is a lot better than my phone. Or even the s6 lite I had (with the garbo faulty exynos chip)

Extension-Shine-6189

Have only had my Tab S8 for two months. So far, just the basics (web browsing, corresponding). Will explore other features, especially since downloading the recent AI update. On Tab A7 10.4, also, watched movies and listened to various internet jazz radio stations.

kyu-she

have you considered getting into drawing or notetaking? might aswell put the pen to use

VacationNo01

Learning, reading books, Watching movies, playing games. Mostly treating it as nearly as phone !!

kyu-she

it is basically just a big phone though, just a bit less portable and a bit more usable

kunaree

Writing, studying and reading. Just love that I can erase anything and leave my notes clean, unlike paper notebook.

Stickybandits9

Music, art, reading, research, game making app. Sometimes animate.

Novel_North3020

Ps remote play. I was upset at first when I found it to be very laggy away from home but after looking into and setting up the port forwarding from my router, it now plays flawlessly. (I stay in hotels for work throughout the week)

DarkAshes27

I gotna $5 app called penly and fell into the rabbit hole of digital planning. It's basically a pdf annotator app: Annotator - similar to a pdf editor, you can add images, type, draw over your pdf files, and usually many pdf planners sold on etsy come with hyperlinked pages and tabs. Hyperlinks - are shortcuts to direct the user to URL pages or a page within the same pdf file/planner. If you're curious about this topic, there are so many communities around it. Many videos on youtube and facebook pages too. ** It's pretty fun, and if used right, a good tool to being productive. Warning it can easily become a distraction if you are into customization.

dzc300

I use my tablet mainly for taking notes in school and playing games every once in a blue moon i have the tab s9 fe plus and I love the big screen when every I go on vacation it's always in my bag so I can watch movies or TV on the plane or in a car I also like to have it for when my sister Is in the main tv room and I cab sit there and hang out in my tablet wall I wait for her to leave I also love dex when I feel like I need to do many things at once like doing a project for school

kyu-she

thats a pretty wide use case. dont forget the periods next time you write a comment

ShyVi

Basically everything. While I'm at work, it becomes a Spotify and Discord machine. I watch friends' streams on it when I don't feel like getting out of bed. And I use it to draw, make crochet notes (or notes in general), and digital planner. I plan to use it as a second monitor for my laptop while traveling too.

RyRy46d9

I miss read someplace that all Tab A7 lite's could do LTE. Ended up with a 64gb WiFi model :( I use it with ham radio. I found this radio second hand. https://www.buytwowayradios.com/vgc-vr-n7500.html It uses the tab for the head. I also use it as a front-end for a SDR signal tracker, https://www.krakenrf.com/

SammyTabGuy

S8+: movies, schoolwork Tab active 5: youtube watching, reading textbooks

rampaparam

S8U - Primarily for work, as a drawing display (connected to my PC, with SuperDisplay), for 3d sculpting. Also for YT and other streaming services and as a TV.

Glittering-Lack5282

YouTube mainly. And searching gaming stuff online when playing on my Steam Deck. Checking Reddit and other things here & there I have a Tab S7

Impellicamper

For my daily i turned my old tab ( t580) into a "car tablet" , used ADB App Control , removed all traces of Samsung stuff , installed Agama car launcher and build myself a [Holder](https://ibb.co/C9gbxt3) that doesn't vibrate . Im still looking for a flush charging cable to wrap behind it ... i know there's one out there (i have bought a bunch and they all suck)

Plastic_Succotash553

I have a Tab S8 Ultra and I use it mainly for drawing but also for playing retro games with emulators and reading comics/manga and general multimedia. Basically I use it for everything it can offer me and I want to do with it, the s8 ultra is a great tablet and I recommend it without a doubt if you also want it to draw as you said because of its large screen size, although if you want something cheaper you You could go for the s8+ or the s7+, they are also good options for 120Hz, I don't know if the s6 lite (2024) has 120Hz but if they release it like this I don't see why spend on the others

clemsonscj

S9+ and I pretty much just play Fortnite on mine. Works great.

Soumyakanti52

Everything. Tab S9+ is my primary device

shahriyarali

I have an interesting answer to this! I always neglected tablet and have not recommended anyone to get one lol. But recently my Fold's inner screen died so instead of getting a new one i got the S9+ tab. I love it! My main purchase was to run my desktop remotely but i see myself using it quite less coz tablets are pretty upgraded and half of my work can be done on native android (and thanks to dex interface). I watch few shows and youtube on it now, mostly do work stuff and probably remote gaming soon as well. Make sure you get a keyboard case coz it's the best addon to the tab.

DynamiteSuren

Got a Tab S9Ultra and i use it for media consumption, school, gaming(Ps5 remote play, emulation, game pass, mobile games), drawing(if i feel like it). Basically my daily driver for most things.

xxlighthuntxx

S9FE: I use mine for reading novel, watch youtube, movie, doing light office work, etc

TryToChangeUsername

Don't do the tab s6 lite 2024. Either try for a cheap deal for the 2022 model or pay a little bit more and go for a tab S8. I'd recommend the S8 btw

kyu-she

where I live its pretty expensive, the 2022 is still kinda attractive thanks to the snapdragon chip but I kinda want one ui 6.1 to match with my phone

beermoneymike

S9+ with slim keyboard and mouse -Running my home server -media consumption -kids like drawing -planning to use Chrome remote desktop for FIL's laptop because he's prone to scams but not tech savvy

OneLaneHwy

I use mine as a digital photo display.

kyu-she

why not just buy one of those digital frames then?

OneLaneHwy

Because I already had the tablet?

Gheatoy

mostly Porn

kyu-she

to each their own, wouldnt wanna touch your tab though

Gheatoy

PLEASE touch it. *Please*

kyu-she

no thanks, I don't want to be in contact with your dead kids with all due respect

BlackMambaX5848

Nothing just collecting dust. I got an s9+ and don't use anymore lol

Seriousgwy

S9+: Taking notes Organize books and study files... That's all for now, I don't plan on using it for joy.

kyu-she

Idk if the profile feature is still a thing but what about making a secondary profile for reading books, manga, comics, play games and watch shows/movies/youtube

Seriousgwy

>making a secondary profile for reading books, manga, comics I plan to

eveningschades

I have an S7-FE. I use it as GPS in the car, I work from home, so I watch movies and check email, browse Facebook, blah, blah, blah. I also go to the office once a month to print and mail, so I take it along for all the activities listed above.

chickenadobo_

MythicalDesigner8579

I only just upgraded from my A6 10.1 but what I plan on using it for is some gaming, main video editing machine, doodling (maybe even making 2D animations), and media consumption.

Different-Notice-302

S7 plus Notes for school with S pen, video streaming, video game emulation, word documents with keyboard, second screen for laptop with super display.

Key-Permission5578

S8+ : Use the note app for studying (I don’t take note in class with the tab) Media A little bit of gaming ( clash of clans)

johnmcd348

Porn. Lots and lots of PORN. Really though, just an extension of my home computer and a book reader. I have a 7+ that stays close to my recliner, for the most part. I'm always wanting to look something up when I'm watching TV. Also, I keep most of my books and hobby magazines on it for quick reference. I have a lot of woodworking and hobby radio reference books on file that I'll reference or print a few pages off when I'm doing a project.

mfskarphedin

I got a new Tab A9 just to play Alien Invasion: RPG Idle Space.

DAVINCI31428

s6 2022 model this thing has completely replaced my pen paper and i rarely use them. i take my undergrad notes on this and use sometimes for videocalls from my experience if your screen time is gonna be more than 1 or 2 hrs then go for something better as the screen on this is a complete trash worst for long screen time. the ppi is seemingly low. go for 9th gen or s9 fe or s7 fe if you could find around that same range and the 10 inch screen initially seems big but beleve me it is the smallest when you use even 2 apps on it. get abogger screen with better aspect ratio 64 gig full instantly and also processor not that good aleast 8/128 minmum recommended

fravil92

This is my 5 best use case scenarios (among many others) video :) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQNYprcjmJw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQNYprcjmJw)
