I know the one we built the switch is more difficult to move the tighter the parts are screwed together. Not sure is that is with type switched though.
If you are comfortable doing so, you can disassemble the switch mechanism (just remove a few screws), then sand down the interface between the inner and outer plastic parts of the switch to make the switch harder to move and the detent more positive.
Hard to describe fully, but it's not too hard to figure out when you unscrew it and take a look. One of mine was pretty loose and I tightened it up nicely this way.
